Greetings everyone. I am the latest lad to join the DF GD AKs. If you want to know a bit about myself, I have playing AE games for a long time. I originally played Dragonfable when it came out in 2006, Xan War, Storm War and good few of the things at the beginning yet at some point, I stopped for a bit. Something about being a tad too addicted to it I think *chuckles*. I came back to Dragonfable in 2011 after a bunch of the Dragonfable forumnites *eyes Chisagen* helped us over in AQ with the Mostly Harmful War. I have since joined the Beacons of hope clan and warred in many wars. Some call me Elryn, Warmage, El, Elly, Gildarts, all of which are acceptable save the last one (I will set you on fire/ice/wind/earth and/or make you explode if you do).

This is the place where you get to ask me all the crazy questions you may think of. To preserve my sanity however (at least, what's left of it), a few rules and guidelines first:

1) As always, all of the =AE= Comprehensive Forum Rules.
2) I reserve the right to not to answer questions.
3) 15 Questions maximum. Keep them reasonable and post once per page.
4) Free tankards of Moglinberry juice are on the house. *grins* Serve yourselves, but please, do not clean me out. I still need a bit of gold for travels...
5) *remembers his Beacons mates scour this board* Right. As per the above, if I find Gildarts and I and any relation between the two in a question, I will slap you.

What is the first game you ever played and when?
Video game? Tetris? Difficult to say, that was a looong time ago.

What is the first AE game you ever played and when?
AdventureQuest. As for when, I would not be able to tell exactly. I had no way of getting guardianship for a long time thus when the server caps came about, I started making multiple accounts to keep playing and lost track of my original accounts. My memory goes as far back as the EZboards though so 2002 or so.

Are you a warmonger?
I strive to be one.

What's your other job in real-life besides being an AK?
Archivist.

When were you first introduced to these forums?
These ones? When we switched over from the old ones.

Have you ever participated in the Elemental Championships? If not, go look at the forum announcements. We need more people.
*scratches the back of his head sheepishly* I would quite like to get starting on a bit of RP, but I am afraid I have too many things on my hands right now. I definitely do plan on getting things there when I may however. I am not certain I am on par for the Elemental Championships.

Now, have you read a Song of Ice and Fire? If no, go read it, if yes, who is your favorite character, and which is your least favorite character?
I have not actually. Currently busy re-reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel. Smashing.

Hrmm. What next? What does it feel like to be an AK?

Crazy math time. What is 44454 times the exponent of x^6 plus 35 divided by sin(34/100), divided by pi which is promptly handed out at the DF B-Day party, destroyed by the hero, left to rot outside, eaten by ravens, flown all over the world and used to fertilize many, many trees and bushes, divided by Elryn, sent to Messopotamia and there used to build houses. What kinds of houses are built, and what is the variable that they will burn down next year?

Well, hello, Elryn, long time no talk. Possibly never before, I don't recall truly. Regardless, I congratulate you on your ascension in the DFGD.

What is the attraction of war? I could understand if you were, say, Thundercleese.
Habit really. I tend to wander off after every war to the other dealings needing tending to. Not long yet every time I stop by for a visit, another army is invading it seems. Puzzling really.

What precisely is a Warmage?
A mage who specialize in taking down armies.

Would you blindly try to stop a group of elementals due to previous strife with them, alongside the fact that they're deviants from the reign of the Elemental Lords?
Diplomacy first if the situation is not already beyond that. If it is, protect my kin as best as possible.

Might we move onto the more silly questions?
Is that a silly question?

If one is two, then does three make a triangle?
No clue.

Once there was a Walrus Empire, but it fell. History repeats itself, so a new ruler must take the throne. Who is it?

Am I permitted to shamelessly advertise my ongoing(despite the current hiatus) L&L fanfic for Pre-DF/AQ, The Dishonored Veldrin? I love doing that, besides the story needs it. It has also become tradition for me to do this in every MtAK thread that I post in.

Favorite saga in DF?
Hmm... Tough one. I would have to say I loved the Final Thirteenth. The story, the wars and on the forums. Paramount of epicness. I also quite liked Chapter 2. It was done a tad quick, but the speed made so that it felt like similar to the Final Thirteenth and I had fun with those wars as well.

Favorite character?
As if I could choose... I love many different characters for many different reasons. Sepulchure, Xan are peculiar villains. Epic in their own way. I love Kara's design. Tomix certainly. Warlic. The list goes on.

Pancakes or Waffles?
One one week, the other the other week. Alternating between the two is best.

Can you tell me a story? 8Db

I am fairly certain I love DF just as much as I love AQ. I may get a tad bit more nostalgic with the latter though.

First Question. What AE games you play? AQ, DF, MQ, keep track of AQW a bit, I look at Oversoul every so often (though considering it is in beta, no surprise there)

Second Question.What is your favorite AE game? AQ and DF are rather close.

Third question.Do you think the hero of df is stronger then all if not most rose members you know 1 on 1,2,3 or 1 on 1 with the leaders? Power is relative. The Rose Leaders are quite fearsome as well. Although the Hero is blessed by destiny and his Dragon, I would put him above them. There is more than one way to win a battle.

Fourth question.Do you think the hero of df is stronger then when he was bored 5 or more years in-game and 7 real life? I would say yes. At the very least, he has learned much from all of his trials.

What AE npc do you like most? Tough one. I like different NPCs for different reasons. By I suppose I am rather keen on Kalanyr and Zhilo though likely because we have not seen them all that much.

I noticed that there are many new AK appearing so I was wondering if there is a hidden plan but since for telling us of the plan could mean bad things for you can you tell me or give a hint if it is evil?(Asked you that because you are new in the order so you might have suspicions) Oh, the same as always. Take over the world.

1) Which school of magic do you find most interesting?
Hmm... I do not think there is one I find more so above others. I find different schools curious for different reasons.
2) What role do you think the Elemental Avatars will play in Book Three?
Hmm... Good question. One thought that occurs is that the Rose might try and capture them as impossible as that sounds. There are after all deeply connected to the Lore and its magic.
3) Do you think there is enough BLOO in this thread?
Certainly.
4) There is an old saying that goes, "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori." Its creation is credited to the Roman philosopher Horace, and it means, "It is sweet and becoming to die for one's country." It gained further renown after its usage by one Wilfred Owen during the First World War. One of Wilfred Owen's more harrowing poems, "Dulce Et Decorum Est," calls this phrase the "old lie." What are your feelings on the phrase?
The phrase seems a tad inadequate. There is rarely any sweatness or becomingness in dying. Mayhap a more adequate phrase would be to say that there is little greater than for one to be ready to die in the protection of his own friends.
5) That last question was a really serious one. How about a round of moglinberry cider?

Well, I like Wind Elves... but also Vartai... Dwarves are curious enough... But that is out of knowing them little.... Do Giants count?...

What is the difference between a normal mage who fights in wars and a warmage?
A warmage will specialize or possess abilities specifically made for or in the purpose of warring. His entire style of battle may revolve around the single matter of having war in mind where as a normal mage will apply his general skills to the best of his ability in warring.

Best war (In DF)?
I shall ahve to say the Final Thirteenth. Had much fun in that one.

Favorite Warsong?
Oh Nelly.. I cannot choose. There are simply too many good ones to pick from. InsteadI shall provide a few to adequately accompany the warring considering the current war:
