Exploding Penguin -> Auto-send messages (9/29/2013 12:52:06)

So if people on your buddy list or faction do certain things, it auto-sends messages to you and their other buddies/faction members. This could include:

-When a buddy or faction member changes their name, your inbox will notify you
-Whenever you gain an achievement other than purchasing it, you will be notified (for leaderboards, flag captures, defeating bosses, etc...)
-If someone sends you a buddy request it will give you the option of looking at that user's forum account in your inbox, if they've linked their ED username to their forum account
-Whenever your title gets changed or you get promoted in a faction, you will be notified of the changes
...and other similar things

i like this, and i think i can be expanded it on. i got nothing atm, but there have to be more things of which alerting buddies of is a good idea.

This is certainly a clever idea since it would be nice to expand the mailing system and utilise it even further! The only issue, as with almost all suggestions, is fitting it in and finding the time to code such a thing, and of course it's whether or not this is possible to do easily with the current system in place. However this has been noted down and will be looked into when possible, however no promises can be made of course, simply that it will be considered further!

@Lycus:

I'm glad it's noted down for consideration because I could definitely benefit from this suggestion, as well as many of my friends. I understand that it can take some time to code, especially if the mailing system was not originally coded to optimize such things (which I don't expect because I don't know if the staff would have thought of implementing new features like this into the mailing system when they first made it), so I guess it's best to focus on the more important releases that many players have been waiting patiently for.
