@Scyze, Nevertheless Necrosis decreases def and res by 21 after 3 turns, whereas the new core potentially only removes 10 def/res at most. How is it not stronger :0

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:02:17)

Armor Annihilator advantages is that it removes armor +10 (to +11 in lvl 40 maybe) for three turn(most probably), whereas its weakess lies with opponent's defense stats allocation:-

if a person has +10 def or +10 resistance then it debuff becomes better than Necrosis
if a person has +5 def and +5 resistance then its debuff is weaker than Necrosis

Scyze -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:03:43)

This Core only removes the Armor's defences right? That means you no longer have any defences from your Armor. Now lets say that I have +5 on Defense and Resistance, you then use the Core. I now no longer have the Armor's help. When you use Necrosis, on the first turn, I still have +1 from the Armor. However, on the second turn, I have -3, and on the third turn I have -7. So Necrosis is stronger at this point.

Lets say not that I have +10 on Defense and nothing on Resistance - you then use Necrosis. I'll have +6 on Defense and -4 on Resistance. On the second turn, I have +2 on Defense and -8 on Resistance; on the third turn I'll have -2 on Defense and -12 on Resistance.

Necrosis is stronger because it makes your defences weaker regardless of how much defence the Armor gives.

someone got ninja'ed

Steel Slayer -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:12:19)

@scyze, you DO realize you just quoted yourself, right? And then contradicted your own argument? But yeah, I agree with what you said the second time, which is why I hope the new bot disables cores, not defenses.

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:13:42)

@FrostWolv, That doesn't make sense to me because what Necrosis does... is to remove 21 def and res (at most) from your overall defences, not just armour defences like the new core does. It is superior no matter what defence and resistance the opponent has.

@Scyze, But that's the thing, Necrosis doesn't weaken your armour, it only affects your defences caused by stat points, or am I wrong xD

Edit: Oh I get what both of you were getting at now, it's just the way you formulated it that confused me.

Steel Slayer -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:22:28)

@martinsen5- Necrosis reduces defense and resistance by 3 or 4 points(randomly)each turn for 3 turns, for a total of up to 12. It is not a stat reduction like Smoke Screen or Malfunction. Honestly I'd like to see the "randomly" part taken out and have it either do 4 points/3 turns or 3 points/4 turns, but that's just me.

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:25:41)

@martinsen5

21 defense? .... when I use necrosis at 3rd attack it does -11 def and -11 resistance ........ and u have only option to either attack physical or attack energy which will deal (considering opponents both defense and resistance same):-

1st turn + 2nd turn +3 rd turn = 3+7+11= additional 21 damage

Now lets say we are using Armor Annihilator with +10def or +10 resis = 1st turn+2nd turn+3rdturn =10+10+10= 30 additional damage

Now lets say we are using Armor Annihilator with +5 def and +5 resis =1st tuen + 2nd turn + third turn = 5+5+5=15 additional damage

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:28:16)

@FrostWolv, Facepalm, I got the numbers wrong! I had the impression Necrosis was far superior but it's really not (although in 3 turns it is) Alright, my bad... :b

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:30:53)

well its more consistent than Armor Annihilator

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:53:40)

Removing Armor w/ stats would make it great. It's weaker than Necrosis, when it comes to defensive debuff, but Necrosis takes time to take full effect. Or it may have lesser damage penalty to compensate for removing just Armor (no stats, like Yetis). Or perhaps longer duration - Guns have 2 and Auxes have 3 for normal Yeti, this one could have definite 3 or 4 turns instead.

At the same time, FrostWolv has a valid point - it affects both, Res and Def, and stacks the total damage. This leads me to possiblity of Armor Annihilator lasting either 4 turns, 3 turns + little to no damage penalty, or 3 turns + removing stats from the Armor.

I will be getting it regardless. I love original Yetis, and this one sounds good - more geared vs. defensive players, as opposed to original Yetis being vs. offensive players. The weapon core doesn't sound to shabby either - we're yet to find out what critical % of HP is required, and it likely has lower EP cost to compensate for Health requirement (at a certain range).

Frostwolv, while you are correct about the POTENTIAL effects of each of these skills, there's a problem you've failed to consider- shields. If you take my 10 armor away on just 1 side(def or resist from armor with AA in your example), I'm most likely going to shield, resulting in me having more armor than before(assuming my shield does more than 10, which most do). With necrosis, no one but a mercenary can shield def and resist at the same time, and usually no one bothers to spend 2 turns trying to shield both.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 9:56:45)

Oooh, that's one thing I remembered - eating opponent's Armor will disable their active and passive cores, so it does have a good bonus to it. More players rely on Armor cores than Gun or Aux. :D

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:04:29)

@Steel Slayer, That is true. So I guess a potential removal of armor cores and stats would compensate for this. I'll be getting the package either way, just hope the bot is somewhat useful..

Steel Slayer -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:11:11)

martin, I really hope Necrosis is stronger, its a promo only bot and was the ONLY thing that came with the promo, not 2 bots 2 swords and 2 mutating weps.....

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:12:33)

@Trans it does not eat armor it just throws 3 white feather over the opponent and I dnt think removing armor will be possible as it is now as important as primary weapons without which one cant duel unless devs have programmed other way around

@Steel Slayer

Well I am not considering Shield because that is another skill :/ tbh. I was only comparing both in ideal circumstances excluding shields,buffs and health points. All I did is a basic comparison between both

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:13:18)

By removing, it'd just disable the Armors' defenses and cores for 3 turns - not art-wise, which would be impossible, probably. xD

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:17:06)

Well either way with or without removal of core from armor it is good as it can remove the defenses from armor completely in a one single blow for 3 turns.

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 10:48:36)

@Steel Slayer, I honestly don't think one bot should be weaker than another, only because one came with weapons and the other did not. It isn't balanced when one bot is better than the others. Making them both viable options is the way to go, regardless of how good the package was.

Steel Slayer -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:03:31)

So martin, you think a bot that cost $50 should be no better than one that cost $17? ESPECIALLY since the old promo is only 3 weeks old? That would be like buying a Porsche and finding out it drives like a Kia.

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:11:54)

@Steel Slayer, I understand your frustration but if we look at both bots as equal items, one should not outshine the other, regardless of price. It's like saying one item should be far OP because it cost you a hundred dollars... that's not right is it?

FrostWolv -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:15:01)

well hopefully i will also get this blood hawk bot and I really do not want it to eradicate the armor cores for 3 turns as the armor core is a vital core and many strategy revolves around its usage.

Steel Slayer -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:25:13)

Not saying I want the more expensive one to be OP, just saying if you have 2 items that do about the same thing, you should be getting what you pay for. Kind of like when there were 2 versions of the assault bot, one cost more and did more damage, not by much though. Necrosis is a good core, I'd like to see it tweaked as I said earlier, but it's fine as is. If the new one removes only cores, that would still be a good bot. If cores + armor, its a REALLY good bot, even if it only does 3 damage like chomp, but would still be balanced and fair. If cores + armor + stats, it would be godlike OP, I don't think it's going that way though.

martinsen5 -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:27:55)

I'd wish for the Blood Hawks to get their special attack completely redone, but that's probably not gonna happen. A real bummer they made two bots so alike, but it's not for us to decide.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: =ED= December 19th, 2013 - A Legendary Release (12/20/2013 11:47:31)

I will be getting ALL of the new vehicles. I can't wait.
