@Beck
It'd be a minor hit for people with X-Boosts, but I'm always strapped for gold.

@Kyle
Yes, I quoted that earlier on the page.

Beck -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:06:10)

@megakyle
That was the quote that we found above, yes. Still, old plans are old, and up for change.

@The Jop
I suggested 10 Gold per flee... if you took a level 20 character and did one battle, you could get on average 100 Gold with no Xboosts. That's 10 Flee's. I don't think that's too big of a cost, even for free players. I think you're just frustrated that people with Xboosts could do things faster, and once again, that's not being unfair, that's them spending real money in order to gain that speed.

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:08:25)

Man, I'm a font for old Oversoul knowledge. Anyone recall that one mention of Wild Cards in that one DN?[:D]

But yeah, I think a good gold fee would be good for fleeing.

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:12:17)

@megakyle777: ikr?

Yeah this definetly could work, especially if your enemy freezes up and then your stuck there forever

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:12:55)

Anyway, wasn't it supposed to be discouraging people from using the flee button too much? It would only discourage free players like me who only have several thousand gold on them. In my experience, players with X-Boosts have nearly 100,000 or more if they haven't just spent it all on card packs, so it would take a long time for them to get discouraged (longer than it would take to find a rare character and guarantee possession with a Soul Gem).

@Beck
I'm frustrated that people want a cost for flees at all. It's consciously making things harder for themselves and everyone else. This is why we can't have nice things.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:16:00)

I still think it would be much better to incorporate some sort of stamina points feature like the one in AQ. Or, we could make it a measly 10 gold payment each time as that is seriously close enough to being free. Or, we could actually make it free because in the end, you still have to be training that character anyways right?! Unless you want to have all level 1s in your bag.

First we were discussing a flee button and now that Nulgath has confirmed this, we are arguing on how it well be designed. Seriously guys lmao.

Asuka -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:20:46)

J, remember the thread name.

"=OS= Beta Release Thread"

Discussions go here.

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:21:08)

The Jop: The Nulgath Nation prides itself on being harder to get things. Their response to winning the war vs Dage in AQW and getting the Miltonius Armour was "Don't make our winning reward too easy to get."[8|][:D]

Beck -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:26:20)

@Jmagician
Some people do in fact just want to catch all the characters, not train them. I know, I don't get it either...
And as the Jop clearly has a problem with 10 Gold per flee being too expensive, I wouldn't called it a "measly" fee xD It's a minor discouragement for people to constantly flee.
Also, we're discussing how a flee button would work. In what way is this amusing? This is what we do in this thread.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:26:48)

@Asuka: Seems like this discussion is more of an argument. If not, it seems like its heading to be one. Arguments just become too personal and rationale do not stem from facts. Just look at Beck's post 202

@Beck: You are the AK I suppose [8D]

Whatever guys, I just don't want this discussion to become hated like I have seen happen in the past. I'm gonna go train.

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:29:21)

Hrrrrm...not sure how this would work, but what about a sort of Repel Artifact? Basicly, there are nine of then, and if you use one you only find beings of that element. So equip the Shadow Artifact and you only find Shadow chars. Not as perfect solution but it drastically ups your chances.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:29:41)

@Jmagician
Don't worry, we're all friends here. We'll be sure to keep it civil.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:35:52)

^Ahh good to know *feels relieved.

Well, its day 2 for me in search of Gent. Paladins are still being massacred.. .

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:37:10)

Well, I finally got it. Had to SG, but worth it.

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:38:47)

Congrats! :D Now you can witness the divine...the raw...POWAH!

Axel459 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:41:50)

I actually don't see a reason for there to be a flee button I mean fighting tediously to get a character you're searching for is actually a little fun IMO the joy of finally catching the character after hours of work feels great.

If it was implanted I feel like the best way to have it work would be to put a limit on how many times it can be used a day/hour.

In other news I haven't seen Gentleman in two days.

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:44:02)

You know, a limit of flees a hour is not such a bad idea. You have like, say, 10-20 flees in a hour, and then it resets later. Not bad and there's no cost, but it limits you to a degree.

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:44:15)

@Axel459: yeah but there are times when your enemy will freeze up and theres no easy way to get out of it though comes in handy when that happens!

daichi -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:45:51)

No! MY people![:(]

good thing those guys are only apprentices. [:D]

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:53:07)

You know, I think this is probably the perfect character to fight off Ice with. Get 2 Tasers added with charged means you can get off 1400 damage, and with Super Charged you can let off a 2000 peirce combo.[:-] This char is not flashy but it IS deadly.

Axel459 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:53:22)

@LNS Then just keep your fleeing for when the game freezes.

@daichi Now you know how I felt when you guys hunted my wolves back in Alpha while looking for AP and Sword Skeleton.

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:55:33)

@daichi: lmao
@Megakyle: Yeah! I totally agree!

The Death Angel -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 14:59:46)

I take no offense by what people post, nor do I hope other people take offense to mine. I do know and realise some of my posts are straight out hostile, and that is a bad habit of mine.
I try to argue my points and voice my opinion if there is something I feel strongly for. And I sure as hell feel strongly for Oversoul and I'm rooting for it's succes.

Just wanted to clarify to people who might take offense to my posts, etc.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 15:08:33)

Take these "no fleeing" fights as a way to level up easier, since you have a goal to find and capture something.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 138 - READ THE FIRST POST (1/6/2014 18:02:33)

So, they just deleted the Paladin Training Grounds page from the Wiki. Be sure to pass this knowledge down, because apparently the Wiki isn't going to do it. We all know it's not the job of a Wiki to inform people where characters are available, right?!
