Lets say you just started off on Delta V. Gathered a few thousand Credits and you are thinking "Wow. I spent three hours to gather 4,000 Credits. Lets get a cool looking weapon! Oh my Pikachu!!! That one looks so hardcore! Lets buy it! What the... 20,000 Credits for a level one sword?!"

Do you think that the huge credit prices and slow earning rates divert new players from playing the game to quitting it?

Ranloth -> RE: Credits (3/18/2014 12:55:12)

The difference is, that "cool looking weapon" will last you for few levels at most. Once the cap is raised/you get to higher level, you start losing damage for your cool look. You end up buying more expensive weapon - due to being higher level - and your old one sells back for half the value. And you do that until Level 40.

You save much more Credits than you did in Delta. A lot more. You just upgrade one weapon and change if you really want to, but it's not necessary. Before, you had to buy weapon for each category and upgrade every few levels or so. Not counting the enhancements cost.

New system is much more Credit-friendly in the long run. Expensive to purchase a weapon at first, but pays off greatly.

@Trans, I dont think he's comparing with Delta phase, but rather naming "Delta V" the planet where Epicduel is located.

I agree that credit prices are high, but since Varium doesn't provide P2W (apart from var exclusive cores) it wouldn't be much of a shortcut if credit prices were low in the first place.

(lot at pikachu :D )

8x -> RE: Credits (3/18/2014 18:41:37)

Did anyone notice that for some reason new hairstyles always cost 295 Varium or 995 Credits? What happened to pricing the hairstyles at 145 varium? "Duck on your head" costs more than any of the old awesome looking hairstyles...

s0u1ja b0y -> RE: Credits (3/18/2014 19:13:12)

Hairstyles have gotten worse and worse over time. Credit pricing is terrible. Just think about it as if you're really a new player. You play and do missions and see your credits are only at 500 to 6000 in 3 hours. You would think you would be able to buy something, but not even close. Everything you can buy looks terrible. Then add in cores and high amount of low lvl varium beasts, and game seems P2W. So you go to upgrade and you have to spend 60 bucks to get anything. I mean really 60 bucks. Thats a lot to invest in something you just started playing.At least before you got items regardless of purchase amount( key system).

Xendran -> RE: Credits (3/18/2014 19:16:28)

@Above: "and game seems P2W."

The game IS p2w. Just because they claim it isn't doesn't make it true.

edwardvulture -> RE: Credits (3/18/2014 20:35:46)

How? I win most of my fights and I'm a free player. ...and don't say pay with your time.

Wootz -> RE: Credits (3/19/2014 12:57:49)

I belive Xendran is correct here.
It is P2W, just putting credit prices to pre-Omega weapons which were Varium doesn't really mean much. There are still Varium only P2W items. Abyss Battlegear being the one that has a semi-P2W use. But if you think about the promos and the items that are Varium-Only you get P2W. Although I don't get why Dage's items are getting Varium-only tags. Those are literally the worse weapons in-game.

Noobatron x3000 -> RE: Credits (3/19/2014 13:02:18)

If the game wasn't p2w old rares that were varium only that give a massive advantage in battle would get free counter parts ( not the same thing just similar)

If the game wasn't p2w azrael would of been free before the nerf.

If the game wasn't p2w abyss bots and blood hawks wouldn't be varium/promo only options.

If the game wasn't p2w everything wouldn't have such a huge credit price with credits so hard to come by.

This game is absolutely p2w.

zion -> RE: Credits (3/19/2014 17:51:57)

Pay with your money or (an insane) amount of time...
