The berserker killer -> ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/15/2014 12:24:38)

Hello, this thread is mainly for Exile Players who:

1) Are willing to switch to legion top help balance out the game
2) Who want to discuss why they want to switch but won't
3) Who have ideas that will help our Alignments become even ATM and enhance the quality of this war

The reason I have created this thread is because at the moment I've got no problem helping exile win every single war, but it's morally wrong and it's ruining the game. I know a lot of you have played this game and have been playing this game since Beta and have developed a passion for this game. And I know that one thing you would hate more than anything is to see this game continue in the direction it is heading, especially during this war. With that being said, I have suggested a few things for developers to do that will potentially even out our alignments however I am not sure that my ideas have gotten through. So my last attempt, my final suggestion, is that we gather a groupd of players who are willing to switch over to legion.

I know 20-25 players wont do much, but you will be taking a stand and Players, those who look up to you, will follow you. Your friends will follow you and you'll take the first step in balancing this game. I know the penalties, especially for those of you who have created factions, I don't expect you to switch. But those of you who are factionless, just think about it and comment here. I plan on switching over to legion as soon as possible and I hope others will follow. I will continue suggesting and tweeting to titan and other developers about :

-Removing the Penalty for switching Alignments
-Allowing there to be Co-Leaders in factions who can kick/add players (Which will bring back old Legion/Exile factions).

However, until then, tell me your thoughts. Thank you

DillBagel -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/15/2014 13:12:57)

I have an account on either team, so I'm not going anywhere.
Also, continually tweeting devs about the same thing will just annoy them, especially when it's about a penalty that they chose to put on to stop people from changing alignments with the season.
Co-Leaders to a faction is a decent idea, albeit one that has been brought in just about every phase, so again, spamming the developers' twitters won't help you.

The berserker killer -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/15/2014 14:56:15)

Thanks! I am not spamming developers, I only just tweeted Titan yesterday and I am waiting for a reply. I am aware that no one likes spamming.

And I think co-leaders id a wonderful idea also, I wish it would be implemented into the game as soon as possible because it is something we so desperately need.

edwardvulture -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/15/2014 19:17:14)

The exile vs legion thing should be decided by players. So what if legion gets stamped down to the ground? If exiles transform Delta V into anarchy and players decide they don't like that, they switch to legion. The devs should not intervene so both sides look even, that would make the end result of wars meaningless.

Mother1 -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/15/2014 21:49:08)

So basically because a mass of legion players quit playing the game those of us who actually like the side we are on should switch? Sorry but no. It is not the players fault that old legion players quit why should those players who like being on the side they are on switch if they don't want to?

This has to be a choice of the players. If the players want to switch to legion to help balance out the sides at the exchange of giving up the possible prize they by all mean do it. If they don't you can't force them to do so either.

I myself as I said before won't switch sides. I like the side I am on and I won't switch to the other side.

besides remember switching is a Pay to play feature now so even if most wanted to switch if they don't have the varium they can't do so. It was because they made it pay to play that many just switch to the winning side.

Thylek Shran -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/16/2014 2:38:02)

The best option would be that everyone does switch to Exile. But as this is not possible because of
the 1,250 Varium cost (*1) war rewards should be accessible to everyone for the same prices.
Legion will never be able to win any future war as more and more players switch to Exile as long
as the devs donīt manipulate the war meter heavily. However manipulating the war meter would
be fraud. As the war and faction system is now by fact a fail it does need to get overhauled.
I would recommend to start with *1. To make it more logical Legion and Exile could have different
"rewards" but with a similar worth and status to prevent alignment changes that are based on war
rewards. It seems that the possibility to change alignment was a cursed feature as Legion characters
now have to deal with its bad result. Another option would be that future wars wonīt be based on
character alignments. Like the first war ever, the Frysteland War.

If the devs (or Artix) think that they they can make big money with alignment changes (1,250 Varium)
dey be wrong, as more and more players will get unhappy as they dont want to spend or have money
to switch alignment and then just rage quit ED.

^Don't worry, Exile will win them all and we'll end up with less players than what we started with in Dread War 2.0. With this kind of player base everyone should be a winner if not more people would just quit. The focus shouldn't be on Legion vs Exile it should be on keeping this game alive.

overdead -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 9:46:59)

Honestly, I'll only switch when two things happen:

1. Legion wins a war
2. Switching won't cost RL money

I think that's the smartest thing to do.

comicalbike -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 9:50:29)

well legion will win all the wars with the system as it is i don't have a problem with that but i think lots more players give up and i don't blame them

ScarletReaper -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 10:42:00)

People shouldn't have to switch sides. It is there choice. That being said it is more than obvious that the number of exile players FAR exceeds the number of legion. This is why legion has no chance of winning, and will probably never be able to win any future wars without more people switching, or devs putting a new system in place to make it even. The problem to me isn't that exile will win. It's that there is a special prize that all exiles will get for free that legion had 0 chance of winning. Just kind of like a kick to a downed alignment.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 10:48:48)

There isn't a problem with Exile winning every battle. Frankly the people who picked Exile, not were forced during Infernal Infiltration, want to see Exile win at every turn because we are the quote unquote good guys(See Infernal Infiltration for why that isn't try). The problem is there is no ramification to our actions. Legion is the government and just now the Exiles have overthrown the government in Fortune City and guess what nothing is going to change there. Alydriah, who is without question the greatest tangible enemy of the Exile movement, is still completely and totally free in the middle of the town and if they want this to seem realistic she will be captured within an update.

At least when we worn Infernal Infiltration Silas was captured by the Exile Soldiers shortly after victory so there was a tangible victory in terms of story.

If you have Delta V slowly turn to a terrible place of anarchy as the Exiles proceed then people will switch to Legion to start restoring some order. And if you have Delta V turn into 1984 as the Legion takes over then people will switch back to Exile

Variation -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 11:09:06)

You're exactly right Scarlet Reaper. I've pointed that out before. The prize system is the biggest issue with Dread War 2.0. It isn't fair at all that an alignment with zero chance of victory has to pay to claim the prizes. Whether or not you get the free prize should be based on your participation in the war only. If they just allowed that to happen the war wouldn't be as bad as it is in its current state. If the developers aren't willing to change how the free prize is granted they should at least program a very powerful reinforcement system that will actually make the wars challenging against the Exiles.

EDIT: It also looks like Titan agrees that a better reinforcement system is needed. I'm very glad that the developers are addressing this issue. Hopefully it is decent and gives Dread War 2.0 a new taste.

edwardvulture -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/22/2014 18:05:16)

Good point on story-line inconsistency OWA. I also agree the prize system is unfair for Legion players that work very hard and get almost nothing in the end. All players who have contributed over 10,000(completely arbitrary) influence should get some kind of price regardless of alignment.

DillBagel -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/23/2014 13:42:40)

Scaling the rewards with your influence would be nice too. Got 150 influence? 10000 credits, new gear at base level, or 10 arcade tokens. 3000? Same thing. 30000? Same thing. The level of the gear and some of the other prizes should at least increase.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/24/2014 19:57:03)

@edward Charfade has me one up'd there. If, sorry when, Legion loses Frysteland something is going to happen to Alydriah because she will no longer have a place to hide

Mother1 -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/24/2014 20:02:09)

@ OWA

IIRC when omega started wasn't Alydriah kicked out of the Frostland by the Krampus and Edger Boothe? Cause if this is the cause she already has no place to hide by that logic.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: ~Any Exiles Willing To Help Balance Out The Game?~ (5/24/2014 21:54:09)

@^ I remember that as well and

quote:

Welcome to Frysteland's Legion Outpost! Though it pained me greatly to do so, I cut off ties with Alydriah to independently govern this region. I believe the Legion can be a force for civilization and progress in this impoverished land without resorting to the barbaric acts formerly associated with my alignment.
