As I am sure everyone is aware, we have a new war upon us that is scheduled to start soon after gifting is done.
Now If i remember correctly infernal war was one of the most influential as well as most played war compared to all of the rest.
This was due to many elements where players could do different things to earn influence as well as work more as a team rather than individual effort.
I would like to see this kind of initiative implemented in the new war and i have suggestions as to how to do so. If you would just bear with me!


Central Station War Ideas:

1. Make any area where you do fights earn you influence towards your achievement, individual self, faction, as well as your side you vowed to fight for (Legion/Exile).



2. Just as there was a vault in the Infernal Mines, There should be "Gates" implemented in the Station. Now this idea has many interrelated ideas that go along with it so i will go into more detail. (now keep in mind this is a rough example or suggestion, if you will.)

2a. There are 3 gates on each side. Both Sides close in on Oz to begin. We fight in both directions just as the infernal war was done. Once one side defeats the gate and destroys it (with drops they receive from battles and attacks) they get a little achievement that says (GateKeeper 1) or something like that.

2b.Now at this point some of you might be thinking "what happens to the npc's in the areas blocked off?" They will still be there but with a little added dialogue (Congratulations GateKeeper, keep moving onto victory!) or (Do not Worry GateKeeper there are still battles to be won and treasures to be taken beyond these gates!) As well as some more items (Key weapons or something along those lines.)

2c.Each Individual gate on each side will have the same amount of health but each level will have more and more health (health = influence for those that didnt understand that before) Each individual gate will give a special achievement to the winning side for that round so if Exile wins round 1 they get "GateKeeper I", but if Legion wins the 2nd gate they get "GateKeeper II" and the last one will be "GateKeeper III" and maybe have a special shop or something for the winning side in the end. (Winner is the one who destroys Gatekeeper III, even if they lost the first 2 rounds)

2d.Just a little side not, NPC's will not drop war items, only PvP (1v1, 2v2, Jugg) therefore people will have to work for their achievements and help their side claim victory over Central Station for years to come!

Please give criticism, give your additions into this idea, and tell me the flaws or positives of it! Tell me if im an idiot for posting or if it seems like a good idea! All and any criticism will be well taken and add to the development of the suggestion.

Remember as a HUGE side note. This is just a suggestion may or may not be implemented and is up to the Developers and Staff whether to take into consideration or not so do not blame them if they choose something else. Do not get mad at them if they already have ideas or they want to go a different route! We are here to help make the game better and to help in any way we can and they can choose to do as they wish with these ideas. The Suggestion forum is for SUGGESTIONS and that is all. It is not us forcing them to do anything and it is their way to give us an outlet to show them ideas we have created along the way that we think may benefit the game as a whole and not on an individual level. I like the idea of a Central Station war since it's the only Delta V location that hasn't been contested yet :D
But I gotta say, I don't really like this "No influence until wartime" thing going on.

It doesn't seem very likely for the Central station war just because of the timeline until the war starts. That said it would make a very interesting War 3.0 system.

Why do I say War 3.0? Most of the content from the Infernal War was not reusable so it was stripped from the game post war to not waste database space. So to bring back those features they would have to be re-coded along with the art assets and animations.

The devs' key concern regarding the war system is to make it reusable so that we don't have to devote excessive development time to one-off events. While I certainly think a revamp of the current war system is necessary, any replacement should also be reusable. The challenge is how to make wars interesting when they essentially have the same mechanics and functionalities.

i know i just thought it would include more action taken by those online and bring more people back is all. It was just a suggestion :) that is all
