I think NPCs should be unlimited. In its current state people are just gonna NPC anyway then sign off. Well, in order to kind of force them to pvp, or at least encourage it I have an idea:

Make NpCs unlimited for the day, however for every time you defeat that npc they get an additional 1 hp on their total hp.

Once the NPCs HP reaches 2x its normal health, it would reset

I would support this if it weren't for all the bots we have in game. The moment this happened would be the moment all the bots would be getting even more EXP and credits which in turn will hurt the legit players who use them.

Exactly. But the idea is that its difficult, if not nearly impossible, to bot someone with 4k+hp

But what about all the wins they get until that point assuming that it would be impossible to bot at this point? If I was able to get 1000 wins off by botting that is 12,000 EXP without any boosts from power hour or exp boosts which is basically 1.6 ranks worth of EXP. with lets say power weekend that comes up to 24,000 EXP which is the equal of 3.2 ranks and if you combine all of these together that would be 36,000 EXP which is the equal of 4.8 ranks which is a lot for a short period of time.

Especially if the NPC only gain 1 HP per fight. Heaven forbid they decide to give up matching level NPC and shoot for something smaller in exchange for knowing they could actually make the highest HP mark and have it reset then it would be even worse.

Hmm I understand what you're saying, Well NPCS aren't really a problem for me so I don't really have much resolve here. I was just trying to broaden my suggestions to help out other/new/upcoming players. Maybe I'll come up with something else

Better to give decaying rewards against NPCs.

And making it so that losing to an NPC gives you nothing at all.

Diminishing returns makes a lot of sense.

You get less gold for every certain number of wins until you hit the effective daily cap, where the amount of gold and exp you get drops drastically. It's not none, but its not particularly great either once you hit the effective cap.
As for bots, they dont really do anything do they? This game doesn't have an economy, so I would say just not worry about how many NPC wins they're getting and just let them get banned by the devs for botting once they get caught.

One big advantage to this system is that it means if you sold something thinking you had enough to buy a new weapon for you rbuild, but you made a mistake and you dont, you can definitely farm NPCs to do it.
The worst result of limited npcs is when you make a player log off for the day because they are 40 gold away from being able to buy their new weapon that they can't actually PVP without, but they can't do any more npcs even just to get a measly 40 gold.

Any scenario like this where there's not much downside (if any, I honestly don't see one) and you remove another case that can cause a player to stop playing against there will is always something worth taking into consideration.
Enough gold to be useful in some situations, not enough to discourage players from pvping.

Not sure if you been playing and seeing what has been going on in game, but the majority of bots I have seen haven't been banned in fact what the staff has been doing has been trying to take away reasons for people to bot rather than just straight out ban them when caught. Here is a list of some of the things they have done instead.

1) Lower the sell back of items (Before an item sold for 50 or 25 credits now sells for 8 and 250 credit items now sell for 25)

2) Lowered the amount of exp and credits you get for losing in PVP battle.

3) Lowered the drop rate of NPC drops.

All of which harms legit players who want to use these things where as botters don't care.

Farming/Botting NPCs is a thing because of ranks, achieving 30 - 20 ranks through botting in one month looks like a great idea.
And gifting event proved that, players who received tons of gifts are still farming/botting NPCs, for credits? I think not, therefore when devs lowered the drop rate/sellback of drops, which are sold for credits, means nothing, as it is not targetting the main reason of using Bots to farm NPCs for you. It's just a lazy way and indirect way to address and fix the problem.

As for, "this nerf affects legit players", well, for every legit player, there are 100 bots currently in-game. Sure let's remove NPCs cap, increase experience given for defeating NPCs, we will simply have each 1 - 2 months, 50 - 60 bots reaching rank 40 - 50, then returning to PvP battles to enjoy their very well earned advantage in it, screwing the game for the legit player, and the generations to come.

There are 2 ways to fix this: (I already gave tons of suggestions regarding this. But they don't look like an urgent matter as much as nerfing legendary god of war)
- Balance the game, and make ranks an addition not an obligation to win PVP battles, therefore the reason of botting will be gone. Then you can remove the NPC cap, increase drop rates, sellbacks, experience and whatnot. Even introduce bots in-game for varium, I wouldn't really care by then.
- Suggested getting first 20 ranks through NPCs/PVPs while the rest (20+) are given through PVPs only. (I suggested this because PVP botting is detectable thanks to players reports, while botting NPCs is sadly not).
-Suggested that farming NPCs should give NPC advantage, same goes for PvP, in other words splitting legendary system in 2, totally isolated from each other.
- Find a solution for botting. Which is not doable currently, since the devs lack the knowledge to do that, and are busy doing something else while the game cracks down.
