The berserker killer -> Rage steal mock version (1/24/2016 15:33:33)

I'm not asking to bring back the armor, or the core (the name of it anyway). I am just asking to bring back the effect of the core with a different name. Call it Rage Steal and sell a new armor at any cost if you have to.

This core is one of the few tactical armor cores that can increase diversity. Keep it's rarity, I understand Platinums Pride was an event in all games and cant come back so just change the name of it, even decrease the rage % taken if you have to, and slap it on a armor

I dont find a good idea to make weapons back. I also disagree with making old bots back.

But I always asked me why they didnt make a energy version of the core. Anyway, It wont get a big diversity, since its better generator or piston punch than chairman's fury. Nobody will use that core even though they come back.
I have it, and trust me, you arent missing a good core.

if I remember correctly when the core first came out it did damage according to the primary weapon you used. In other words if I had a energy primary it did energy damage, and visa versa. However someone reported a bug a while back and the end result was it being locked to a physical damage core which really hurt the core IMO.

But TBK isn't asking for the core itself to come back. They want a mock version meaning a weaker version of the same core kind of like how Consective shot is a weaker version of Pyro swarm seeing as it puts the move it hits into cool down rather than completely removing it from the game.

My point exactly, just a weaker version meaning that it can take 5% rage or something as opposed to the real version itself. Heck it doesn't even have to take rage. Just a mock version would be amazing and add to tactics just as Critical Mastery is a mock version (kinda) of infernal cores/Azrael primary core, concussion shot is a mock version of pyro swarm, lucky strike is a mock version of Celtic Cores 8% version, etc etc

If you have it and use it yourself you'll understand the core is pretty bad and despite any theorycrafting for builds it straight up is almost always overshadowed by other armor cores. Releasing an even weaker version would be pointless.

The amount of times when it's actually the best move to use in the situation is very, very low. Devs are better off making one of their overlapping skill replacements serve a similar purpose instead. The core is dead and rarely finds any viable use as of now.

IMO I really doubt that. There are a ton of builds I can create with this core that I have already had other people test in 100 battles and were very successful in. It may be pointless to some but it's not for all.

The only build I could see this working with is the current TM strength build as an offensive defensive move. I have the core myself and before the current meta came and strength BM and passives were active I saw this core widely used by the masses.

However now, I rarely see it and the only people who as I pointed out would even desire this core are the strength TM's I see to stop their opponents from raging them in dire situations.

Thers a lot more it can be used with especially with Cyber Hunters and tlms/mercs with f5. This core is so effective it's a sin for it to be rare so a mock version would definitely help with diversity

Hmm, now I'm thinking that ed should do that with all promos. I mean, they should give the promos just 1 time, and after a year make a weaker version of them for free players. That would eb the best for payed players and free players.
It will be fair for all I guess.
If you dont agree is ok, just was an idea.

And ok, I agree with your suggestion.

We'd probably create cores that reduce the opponent's rage gain in a different way, such as the Bio Blaster's Pacify core. Other possibilities could include a core that reduces the def. ignore from opponent's rage for two turns, or a core that increases the def. ignore of the opponent's rage but disables his/her ability to gain rage points after using rage for the rest of the battle.

That would be awesome in and of itself as long as its an armor core that will finally allow us to further enhance player customization. I just hope that the simplest idea is implemented as it would take the shortest amount of time in a game where the playerbase is deteriorating on a weekly basis
