This is more destined to devs (hope they read it) because I know you guys dont like reading long things. But wait! you can just read the main ideas and if you like them (and if you want) then you can read the rest of it. I have highlighted the main ideas for you.

With this suggestion I want to make old players back, make good changes for the game, increase the ED's community and make the game enjoyable for everyone!


Why a new phase while you can do a masive update? Simple, although they can bring same changes, a new phase will be more important. The end of omega will draw the attention of all the community. Most of players will be like "finally is the end of omega", "I cant wait to see what come next", "I hope something better is coming", etc. A new phase is stronger than a masive update.
All old players will be back at least to see what came, and probably if they like what they see they may back to the game.
Everybody will be excited about what is it, old and new players. A new phase is strong enough to bring back all players.
This is the way to get up the game.

Those are the main ideas, they are based in old ed's feauteres, old player's suggestions and some ideas I had. I have choosen the best ideas , the ones that can do the best for the game, and the ones I guess players'd like most. All ideas can be discussed and improved, if you dont like any idea feel free to say it. Also if you like any of them tell me why you like it and why it would work (if you want and you can).

The following ideas have to be thought. I'll post here them because maybe someone knows a good suggestion:
-New War System
-Return of influence to pvp
-New Ultimates
-Legendary mode: Should be deleted or rebuilt?
-Fame
-New Flag system
-New stat


1)Weapons:

I)Stats:

The locked stats will be back:
Weapons pre-omega will get their old stats again, while omega weapons will get differents locked stats.
Make all weapons editables was a terrible idea. All weapons are the same, everybody use the same gears and the worst of all: devs can hardly make a good update.
The devs locked themselfs in an impasse.
But this will allow devs to make different kind of weapons again. There wont be weapons with same stats, so we wont see players using the same gears in every match. Variety of weapons also means that all updates with new gears will definitely be exciting again. Making promos will be a LOT easier: Weapons wont need a core, and the best, you can just do ONE weapon instead of 11 (2 aux, 2 guns, 2 swords, 2 class weapons and 2 bots and an armor).

II)Level:

All weapons are going to have a specific level.
Pre-omega weapons are going to have their level again while omega weapons are going to get a new level.
This is due to make the requirement of weapons work.

III)Requirements:

Weapons are going to have level requeriments.
Players will be able to use a weapon only if they reached the weapon's level. This is destined to prevent low levels of abusing weapons with cores and bots. This need to be implemented because is hard for low levels to beat a player with bots and weapons with cores. Moreover this will make new players excited about leveling, because they will unlock better weapons.

IV)Upgrade:

Weapons are going to be able to be level uped.
As I said before, weapons will have a defined level, but that wont stop players of using the weapons when they reach a higher level. Per level a weapon will increase 1 stat and 10 damage. How will work the upgrade of stats? Simple, it first increase +1 the highest stat and then the following stat.
Example: a weapon with +2 strength, +4 dexterity and +3 support, first will increase dexterity, then support and then strength. That's how it will work till it reach the highest level.
To discuss: The weapons upgraded may lose damage if you have level uped them a lot. It's just to make a small difference between weapons with different levels.
For example: Weapons lose 5 damage every 10 levels and armors lose 2 defense and resistances every 10 levels.


2)New Mode:

I)3vs1

This new mode will be able for players who reached level 40.
Juggernaut wasnt enough? So here is a new mode were you can fight 3 players!
In this mode you will fight players between level 20 and 26 who tryed to join in a 2vs2 match.
Multy skills are going to attack all players and will deal 85% damage (the energy needed will be higher).
This mode will have its own daily and all time lb for players and factions.

II)Bosses (2vs2)

As the tittle says, players will fight 2 bosses instead of 1.
This is destined to new events. It can replace the boring legendary bosses with probably a funnier boss versions.

3)PvPs Drops:

This feature was implemented before and it was exciting when you got a drop. This makes the fights funny and gives a good reason to do PvPs. A simple change can make players entertained for a long time.
Possible drops:
-Limited Active Cores (chance of drop:20%).
-Passive boost (chance of drop:15%).
-Arcade token (chance of drop:10%).
-Unique Weapons (chance of drop: 5%).

I)Unique Weapons:

Those are special weapons just awarded from PvP's drops.

4)Arcade:

The current arcade is just too boring and easy. You are getting a free weapon for doing nothing. This one will be closed and a new one will take place.
In this new arcade you have to spend 1 arcade token to spin a wheel. The wheel can stop in one of many debuffs such as -8 your highest stat, -100 energy or health, +5% of being blocked or deflected, lose the first turn or the worst of all: 75% of healing with field medic. There will be also 3 lockers who dont give a debuff: 2 normals and 1 that gives you 3% of drop.
When the debuff is choosen, you are automatically directed to 1vs1.
If you win, you have a chance of getting a drop.

This is a better arcade, you can get a better reward (I will talk about them after) but deserving it. Players will have a hard battle where they will need a good build which can work with all the disadvantage mentioned.

I)Rewards:

The possible rewards are: different amount of Credits (1k 60%; 2,5k 55%; 5k 50%; 10k 40% and 25k 30%), passives with a big amount of charges (boost with 100 charges for example) 25%, an armor 20%, a bike 10% and a weapon from a promo 5% (if there is any).
Note: The bike and the armor are only awarded from the arcade, there isnt another way to get them.
The % isnt so high, but it increase dependding in the debuff you got.
- stats gives +3%, -100 energy/health +5%, +5% of being blocked/deflected +2%, lose the first turn +1% and 75% of healing with field medic 10%.

II)Achievements:

The current arcade achivements will turn to rare, and a new one will replace them.
Every time you win a battle, you earn arcade points. Those points depends of the debuff you got and they increase the level of your arcade achievement.
Stat debuff gives 3 points, energy/health debuff 5 points, luck debuff 2 points, heal debuff 5 points, and 1 point from the normal lockers and from the first turn debuff.
The achivement will have 10 level: Lvl 1 (1 point), Lvl 2 (10 points), Lvl 3 (20 points), Lvl 4 (35 points), Lvl 5 (50 points), Lvl 6 (70 points), Lvl 7 (100 points), Lvl 8 (150 points), Lvl 9 (200 points) and Lvl 10 (350 points).

5)End of Energy Meta:

The energy have become in the most important thing of the game. Classes who dont have a good energy control are practically underpowered, and its hard to make a good balance under this energy meta. The best balance for all classes is destroying this meta.
One way of destroying it is reducing the effect of every energy skill, more than anything the way they take enery.
Furthermore without strong energy skills, there will be more variety of builds (for example massacre will be back). And one thing else, pyro fly is op because it can take energy skills, with this it wont be op anymore.
Those are the changes:
-Energy Parasite:
Now takes 11% and gain 1% per level and gains 1.5x the amount drained. It can be moved to 6%, 1% per level and get 2x the amount drained.

Example now with 600 energy a bm with this skill at max would take 120 and gain 180, with the suggestion it would take 90 and get 180.
-Static Grenade: lvl 1 takes 75 energy (15 per level) and improve 1 per 0,5 support, drain 65%. Change this to 25 lvl 1 (15 per level) and drain 100%.
Example: a focus (45+15 support) takes 330 and drain 215, with the change it would take 220 and get 220.
-Atom Smasher: Take a max of 80%, lower this to 60%.
Example: focus build with 45 strength takes 305, with this change it would take 210.
-Battery backup: Since all skills are taking less, this should give a bit less, because it would be strong. Reduce it to 275 from 300.
-Assimilation: takes 60 at max (improve 10 per lvl) draining 40%, improves 1 per 1 strength. Move this to 45 (5 per lvl) and drain 70%, improve of 1 per 2 of strength.
Example: Focus with 45 takes 195 and drain 78, with the suggestion it would take 112 and give 78.
-Static Charge: Doesnt need a change.
-EMP grenade:
90 first lvl, increase 20 per level to a max of 270 and improve 1 point per 0,45 tech. Move it to 90 increasing 10 per level (max of 180) and improve 1 point every 0,50 tech.

Example: a CH with 90+33 takes 543, with the change it would take 426.
-Static Smash: Takes 75% of primary damage (270 with sword), get 60% at lvl max that can improve 1% every 6 strength. Take 55% at max (198) and get 85% that increase 1% every 6 strength. (this skill needs a buff about the energy it gives, but now in doing it without a buff)
Example A focus with 45 strength takes 270 and get 184. With the change it would take 198 and get 184 (93%).
Note: Those wont new features wont make a difference in the energy gained, it just change the way classes can take energy. It is going to give more freedom with using energy.

I)Secondary Energy:

This will be a second bar of energy that will be destined for cores. All cores will require this energy for being used, and this bar cant be touched by any skill.
The standar energy for this bar will be 250 and it increase 5 per level. It can also increase with stat points, every point gives 25 energy.

II)Energy requeriment for Bots' Cores:

All cores cost energy, bots' cores shouldnt be the exception. This will give a better control of bots and will prevent bots from being op.
Strong bots can have a high energy requirement than the bots who are not that good. If someone is using a strong bot with a high requeriment, then he's going to set aside other cores. He wont be able to use many cores.

6)Legendary Names:

Once a player reach the level 40, his name turns automatically just in blue. But now the name will turn in the colour of the player's stars.
This will be just a esthetic feature, there wont be any advantage.
A player with yellow stars will get a yellow name, a player with blue stars will get a blue name and a player with red stars will get a red name.

7)New tournaments:

There will be 2 tournamenrts: The Legendary Tournament (LT)and the Warrior Tournament(WT).
It's just one event with two separeted tournamens. Both will be on in the same time because LT is for level 40s and the other for the rest of levels.
The best of those tournaments is that everybody will be able to participate.
Those tournaments are going to be similar as the yeti tournament. 1vs1 gives 1 point, 2vs2 gives 3 points and juggernaut gives 2 points.
Both will have a lb, LT with 100 slots and WT with 75.

I)Achievements:

All players will get an achievement for participating, it will give 1k raiting.
Moreover there will be also more achievements depending in the place you ended:
Legendary Torunament: 6,5k for the first; 6k for the second; 5,5k for the third; 5k for the 4th and 5th; 4,5k top 25; 3k top 50; 2k top 75; 1,5k top 100.
Warrior Torunament: 4,5k for the first; 4k for the second; 3,5k for the third; 3k for the 4th and 5th; 2,5k top 25; 2k top 50; 1k top 75.

II)Price:

The LT tournament price will be 100k credits or 3k varium (The ticket might be also owned in a promo with any weapon).
The WT tournament's price will be 25k credits or 750 varium.

Wouldn't a new phase be a "massive update"?

Personally, I think they should just start a new game from scratch rather than trying to improve this one.
They screwed the pooch too many times with this game to turn it around at this point. (Let alone believe they could turn it around)
Maybe in a new game they could throw a bone to former ED players if add items like Frostbane, eggzookas, delta gear, etc.

It would also be better from a marketing perspective.
A new game = fresh start. It wont have the "stink" of this game.

If I were them, I'd make a PvP game (With much better balance and custom classes) for Mobile and browser at the same time.
And have cross platform play between the two (And you're able to login from both platforms). I've seen this done in other mobile PvP games made back in like 2009, which I'm not sure are allowed to be named here. (Otherwise I'd name them for example)

It's too far gone for this stuff to be put into current ED, and when designing a new game from the ground up some more drastic things will have to be done than this to make it good.

I happen to be doing this exact thing right now. Recently finished the balance of all the stats, as well as one of the passive trees, working on the active skills now. Lets see how what the ED devs come up with compare.
I start prototyping this week, maybe me and the ED devs should have a race :P

I said both are the same, a new phase and a masive update, but the first one is more important for the players.
Everybody will back to see the new phase. A masive update wont catch the attention of everyone.

If the game was better, it wouldnt be hard to get new people. So dont worry about that, first make the game better. Then care about getting new people.

@Xendra well yes, it wont be easy too add all these things. But if the devs takes the time, they can do it.
Is the only way to make the game back. Every single update are practically the same. The only way to make a promo is creating 11 weapons with 5 or 6 different cores.
Devs wants the best for the none varium players, but they are not helping them. A good update (and I mean 1 with a promo) is just "exciting" for varium players. The no payed players have to wait till next year to get those weapons.
Back in delta they couldnt get a varium weapon, but guess what, they could get new stuff in every update. Now from every update they just can get "new" weapons that are as good as the weapons they had before.
If those features are added, devs will be able to make good updates again.

I know it isnt easy, but is the best for the game.
