Curse aura and Frost Aura just work when someone strikes you, but players hardly ever strikes due to all the skills and cores in game. That's the main reason why this passives arent so good.
Strenghts are most likely to strike but taking 150 energy in 3 turns or some support is not a big advantage. Moreover, there is just 15% chance of doing it work, is quite hard to happen.
So why dont you make these passives work with all malees attacks?
