[A] Player Equipment & Quests 1. "When will _____ happen?" "When is _____ coming out?" "What is going to happen next !?" "Is _____ going to be released?" "Will _____ go rare?" Most of the time, no one on the forums know as we're not the staff. The ONLY time that we would know is if there is an announcement by the staff. AQWorlds typically has new releases on Fridays, but there's no guarantee that something will be released on a particular Friday. So only the AQW staff know what will happen with each new release, unless they announce the release -- in which case, you'd know about it, too. We don't know what will happen in the future, whether it be concerning classes, areas or items. Stay updated by reading the AQWorlds Design Notes. If you'd like to know the latest releases, check out the AQW Wiki New Releases page which is updated by the fellow AQW players after a major release. 2. What is the drop rate of ___? Does it still drop? We don't know the drop rates to items -- the staff very rarely announce drop rates for anything. If an item isn't dropping, check the Official AQW Wiki to make sure you're fighting the right monster(s), and if you are, understand that you might just be unlucky. Just be patient and keep trying -- you can use the =AQW= Let's Party! thread found in the AQW General Discussion for assistance in farming for an item. Try clearing your cache if the problem continue to exist. Also do note that skills and your luck stat do not affect the drop rate. There's nothing you can do to make items drop more or less frequently, and luck doesn't affect anything outside of combat. The myth about skills affecting drop rate is exactly that -- a myth that started around Beta that was disproved in one of Artix's Design Notes. (Note: Despite the Luck stat saying that it may have effects out of combat when you hover over it with your mouse in-game (here is a picture for reference), the Luck stat does not affect the drop rate in any way as mentioned above.) 3. Can I wear my Legend items after my Upgrade expired? What will happen to them? No. All legend items will be unequipped. If you are using a legend-only weapon, it will be swapped with the Default Sword. If you are using a legend-only class, it will be swapped with No Class. Your items won't be deleted -- they will stay in your inventory, but you can't use them until you're a legend again. 4. What will happen to my Legend only house/house items when I expire? If you have a Legend only house, the house will be removed and replaced by the Cottage, removing the decorations within it at the same time. As with normal equipment, you will still have all your houses/house items, but you will be unable to use the Legend only ones unless you re-upgrade. However, if you have a non-Legend/AC house equipped when you expire, the house and all decorations will stay equipped, even Legend only ones. 5. What does "Rare" mean? In Artix Entertainment games, a "rare" item is something you cannot obtain anymore. If you missed your shot at these items, you're out of luck. Seasonal Rares, on the other hand, do return. They are released during one of our in-game holiday celebrations, but after the celebration is over, you will have to wait until next year's holiday celebration to get the item again. 6. What is the best weapon in the game? There is no best weapon -- the only major difference is the way they look. Some weapons are different from normal weapons and have 'unstable' ranges, such as some of Nulgath's weapons. However this does not mean they are better, some classes suit a stable range while others may take advantage of an unstable one. It comes down to the preference of each individual player, and the suitable enhancements which are applied to the your equipments that make you more powerful. Refer to the Weapon Damage Chart for more information. 7. Why are pets in-game Legend only? Is there a pet I can get if I'm a free player? Pets are usually available as a membership perk. Non-Legend pets may occasionally be made available through special promotional offers, such as purchasing AE merchandise (like the Save Chuckles T-shirt), attending conventions that AE is at, or using an AE Upgrade Card during a certain period of time. For example, Cole was given to all of those who used an AE Upgrade Card during Thanksgiving week 2009, and the Armored Platinum Dragon was given to Founders. Once in a very long while, there will be a non-Legend pet available through ACs. Battle Pets, which can be used for special classes which are designed to use them during battles, are currently all Legend-only or obtained through special events. There are no plans to make this type of pet available to non-Legend for gold or for ACs. Bank Pets like the Twilly Bank Pet, which allows you to store items for free wherever you are, can be obtained through ACs for free players. 8. When are the skills unlocked? What is the 6th blank attack for? Skills are unlocked at ranks 2, 3, and 5, and most classes have passive skills at ranks 4 and 10 -- check the Classes page for more information. The 6th skill is used for Potions and Scrolls. You can find a list of all potions and scrolls here. It is important to note that when you sell a class, you lose the rank you have with it. Storing a class in your bank does not affect the rank that you currently have. 9. How much Exp/Rep do I need to level/rank up? All information about ranking/leveling can be found on the Experience, Class Points, & Reputation page. 10. Why are some of the quests in red and why can't I accept them? If a quest is in red, it means you have not unlocked it yet. If you click on the quest, it should say in red at the top why you can't accept it. Some require you to unlock or complete other quests or reach a certain point in the storyline, and some quests have a level or reputation level requirement. They might be Legend-only, or require you to have an item in order to accept it. Daily quests, found in reputation storyline and in some events like Drakath's Quests in They Might Be Giants Event, are available only once per day. Monthly quests, like the Free Member Magic Keys quest, can only be done once in a month. 11. What do my stats do? What do my stats affect? What Enhancements work best with _____ Class? Take a look at the Useful/Recommended Class Builds guide. It contains the most useful and best recommended builds that suits for your class. Please remember the following: Your Luck stat does not affect drop rate or anything else outside of combat. The only thing it's confirmed to raise is your critical hit damage. 12. I chose Good, but decided to switch to Evil (or vice versa). What happens to my items and my faction rank? If you ranked up in one faction, bought items, and then switch sides, nothing is affected except for your current faction. You'll keep all the items you bought from that faction, and you'll still be able to equip them. You'll also keep your rank for that specific side (so if you ranked up in Good, your ranks stay in Good and you have to build up Evil from wherever that is). You won't be able to access your previous side's shops anymore, though. 13. I need to find someone that has ______ so I can do/finish a quest! Can someone meet me in-game? You can look around popular places such as Yulgar's Inn or Battleon to see if people have the pet you're looking for. Oftentimes, there will also be people with the pet equipped at farming spots for the items required for the quests. If you can't find anybody, you can use the =AQW= Let's Party! thread found at the AQWorlds General Discussion forum to post for help. (Don't forget to read the first post before posting!) 14. How do I beat the /Dance Dance game? It's so hard! There is no easy way to beat it. Just keep practicing and eventually you will beat it. If you feel the game is lagging, turn the graphics down to low and play on "Tiny" screen size. If you think that you still aren't be able to beat the minigame, try searching on sites like Youtube to see how others overcome the challenge.
