Hello, fellow friends and forumites. I wish to speak about something that has devastated the world and all of YouTube. Not having the bravery to post this on YouTube itself, and hoping that this is both appropriate and allowed on this subforum, I will now talk about the horrifying death of someone I have never personally known, but have followed for several years, and who's death has wracked my heart more than any other celebrity ever has. Her name was Christina Victoria Grimmie, and she was recognized as being very sweet, kind and extremely talented. I won't go into religion, for the sake of the forum rules, though I share her faith, and I don't wish for this discussion to be about hatred for her killer, but rather in remembrance of her beautiful life and wonderful talent. Her voice, as well as her heart and soul, was amazing, and even confronted by her killer moments before her shooting, she attempted to embrace him, showing an attitude very much unlike most celebrities. So please, show your love to this amazing person, and please visit her YouTube channel and Wikipedia page for details on her life. was never a fan of hers, only saw her image a few times while doing aextras and on funnyjunk so her herself dying doesn't phase me. after seeing so many news reports of people getting killed it decensors you.
anyway i'll state my opinion on the matter.
her killer offed himself afterwards which was him getting off to easy in my opinion.
this came about because of combination of an overly obsessive guy and the fact that his family saw him getting overly obsessed and did nothing about it. theres also the lax in security to blame for him getting the guns in there in the first place & a stray rumor of her dating her producer acted as a trigger.
having had issues with stalkers myself, i can say with utmost certainty that if the rumor didn't trigger him to going completely off the deep end something else would have. he clearly suffered from erotomania or de Clérambault's syndrome, the metal disorder in which the one afflicted has the delusional belief that another person (typically of higher social status) is in love with them regardless of whether the 2 have ever even met before. this could have been triggered by anything, but most likely it was lonesomeness given his hermit lifestyle.
should this have happened? i'm no god so i can't say whether or not it should have.
but i can say this much, this death & the story of both the killed & the killer may very well result in more good then bad in the long run.
its also a lesson to keep a closer eye on any hermits you might know and for anyone in the limelight to not get to relaxed & trusting of people.


onto something else, there's a fan petition to have one of the npcs in legend of zelda breath of wind named after her
awhile back the same type of petition was made for Robin Williams soon after his death for the same game
i hope nintendo dose do this and puts both a character named Williams & one named Grimmie in the game.
