Digital X -> New update next week! (6/14/2018 17:12:38)

The sun is shining once again.

I am not sure when the last update actually hit, aside from maintenance earlier this year. Does someone remember? Not taking the mickey, serious question.

Not counting the gifting updates for content, the last update would be back never the end of 2016 where they added NPC's to battles and change Juggernaut so that NPC were in the mix.

I know you're excited but let me temper expectations a little bit.

Nightwraith has a very limited set of tools at his disposal. The things that drove players away are not likely to be touched in any capacity. This means we won't be seeing players come back in large numbers or even noticable numbers

@ OWA

The only thing that might bring some people back would be the balance changes assuming they are decent but to be honest with all the balance updates I have seen and with as you pointed out how limited the tools are I honestly don't have too much faith.

@Mother while I haven't seen the balance tools myself I'm pretty sure they lend themselves more towards value changes than functional changes.

Where we are functional changes are needed. Even if we shake up the numbers some the gameplay would still be pretty stagnant.

Edit: just to be clear this is entirely Nightwraith running the show. Titan and Rabble are still duty bound to AQ3D as far as I've heard. Some things might change with this Artix Launcher but that would likely to be addressing any issues caused by the launcher itself. Artix has pulled the team from EpicDuel and it is unlikely to see a team returning to the project.

@OWA

I feel like number changing can definitely fix a lot of the game. Buffing and debuffing can work with numbers, whether it's energy cost, energy scaling, damage scaling, base damage.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: New update next week! (6/16/2018 12:26:06)

@Ginger the classes would still be fairly homogeneous even with number changes. This is one of the biggest issues with EpicDuel right now. The classes may have different strengths on these moves but they still share way too many moves with the same functionality
