I know these bonuses do help, but what EXACTLY are B/D/P and BtH really used on and, lets say, if I debuff an enemy of those, what effects will it have?

BPD increases the chance of an attack being a glancing blow, which do 10% the damage of a normal and don't allow debuffs to be inflicted. The higher the number, the greater the chance of a glancing blow.

BtH (or Bonus as it's called in DF) is pretty straightforward; the higher it is the greater your chance of hitting.
