So with the new spells from the DK Part 3 quest, a question I've had for the past few weeks has been pushed to the front of my mind. What exactly is the difference between MP and SP in terms of lore? Things that affect MP refer to the mind, and things that affect SP refer to the spirit or will, like the Kindred shield. So magic is a mental ability while skills are spiritual or willpower-based? And how do they differ in application? Because we've been seeing a lot of spells with both MP and SP versions. Are they basically the same thing lore-wise but only split for mage/warrior gameplay reasons? Except there's that quest in the Bizarre Flecks saga(?) where we go into space and Falerin mentions that he needs to simulate Lore's background magic field so we can use spells. How does that fit into it?

Humans are capable of wielding magic as the existence of base mana regardless of Int is indicative that they have innate magic like a soul, primary education in basic/proficient magic through Mage/Wizard classes lore provides backstory as how one learns to cast newly purchased spells.

Spirit or will is involved during combat, as a battle progresses everyone can attempt different tactics other than the basic weapon swing and for each special move there should be a downtime due to momentum and fatigue, which would serves as the basis for resource expenditure.

Sp Guests like the character have spirit or will, in the game mechanism's it is the player's Sp that is expended, thus we can assume that a Guest's spirit or will scales to the player due to a shared combat situation of Hp loss and being a teammate who doesn't sit back or does all the fighting alone.

Mp Guests are simulacrums they require mana to channel the abilities of the NPC they reflect.
