Dual-purpose class for Nulgath's birthday

Nulgath's birthday is an important date for the AQW community, and it is always a time of celebration and new releases. For the next birthday, I propose the creation of a dual-purpose class, based on the Umbra Class from AQInfinity.

The idea of the class is that it would have two distinct modes: Skew and Polish. Skew would be a mode focused on dealing area damage and status effects, while Polish would be a mode focused on support and buffing.

Skew: In Skew mode, the class would use abilities to deal area damage and status effects. Some possible abilities include:

Shadow Slash: A skill that deals area damage and applies a bleeding effect to enemies hit.

Dark Vortex: A skill that pulls enemies to the center of a dark vortex, dealing damage and applying a slow effect.

Shadow Nova: A skill that explodes in a wave of darkness, dealing damage to all nearby enemies.

Polish: In Polish mode, the class would use abilities to support allies and buff them. Some possible abilities include:

Shadow Heal: A skill that heals nearby allies.

Shadow Shield: A skill that creates a protective shield around nearby allies.

Shadow Haste: A skill that increases the attack speed of nearby allies.

I believe this class would be a valuable addition to AQW, as it would be unique and offer players new gameplay options. The class would be released on the next Nulgath's birthday, as a gift to the community.

Recommendations: To make the class even more interesting, I suggest the following recommendations:

Add an automatic mode switch, so players can easily switch between Skew and Polish.

Add abilities that allow players to combine the two modes, to create new gameplay strategies.

I believe these recommendations would make the class even more fun and versatile.

Instead of re-releasing classes just as generic "dark" or "shadow" versions of rare classes, create new designs, animations and own lore but with same skills effects. Bellow are some suggestions.

Vindicator of they: Dimensional Champion of Nulgath, farmable in tercessuinotlim (nation need more classes);

Artifact Hunter: DemonHunter, hikari's faction;

Undead Goat: Infernal class, infernal faction rep or a simple UNDEAD class, using doomwood rep.

and so on.

Class can be obtained from Quest via Nulgath the Archfiend.

Class suggested Enhancements is Wizard, Luck.

your challenge to see if it is true what they call you. Give me the benefit
of doubt! Show me Nulgath the Archfiend that you are ready to wield the
the power bestowed by Adimonde. It is your time to become an Arch-
Fiend or Angel general. Even Dage will be jealous of you, AHAHAHAAA!
I will train you hard for it. You will be required to get me these items to craft
your new armor and join my hierarchical class! Your training start with -
defeating me 10 times in my regular power & ultra power.

Fade-out after 8 seconds.


--Both blades are added in your temporary inventory
--Applies HoT based on 10% of your maximum health.
--Applies Soul Drain.

Damage stunning your target for 2 seconds & applying DoT for 4 stacks entire time monster is alive. If
Soul Drain applied then, target enemy receive additional 30% damage from all sources & also reduce
incoming enemy damage by 30% for 15 seconds.


--DoT damage always hit for 6,250 regardless of level at max 25,000 DoT
--Debuffs enemy damage output by 30%
--Debuffed enemy receive 30% more damage from all sources
--Deals 450% weapon damage.

it will heal you for each hit from your battle blade pet & replenish your mana by 75%.

You spawn Adimonde entity manifestation by having a portal opening up for both realm
spawning mass amount of blades including Overfiend Blade & Celestial Blade of Nulgath
to spawn the manifestation to strike & devour the soul of your target enemy with immense
cataclysmic power. Applies Kneel Before the ArchFiend & ArchAngel, increasing your
outgoing damage by 75% and reducing incoming damage by 50% for 12 seconds.
At rank 10, you sacrifice your opponent’s soul by applying guaranteed Blood Rage DoT &
stacks up to 3 times for 15 seconds.


--Damage reduction buff by 50%
--Applies 75% crit damage against enemy
--Deals 1000% weapon damage.

--Applies guaranteed Blood Rage DoT

Rank 10 (Passive & Additive) : (Champion Of Adimonde)

(I have ascended as Nephilim of Adimonde)

Reduce incoming damage by additional of 20%. Addition 100% endurance. Auto-attack
now applies ArchFiend Mark dealing DoT stacking to 5 times with guaranteed 500 damage per tick.
At max stack 2,500 DoT permanently until enemy target dies. Additionally applies to self ArchAngel Mark
giving you HoT for amount of 10% player maximum health rapidly. All your hits exceed 100% to land on
enemy target. However you barely can hit Critical strike with your Auto-attack, 2nd skill, 3rd skill, 4th skills
except your 5th skill which is your ultimate.l

Class specification: --[/u]

Auto-Attack
for this class is physical and this is where enhancements like Forge enhancements or
Awe enhancements can be required for equipments. This auto attack got special animations as well for battle blade
pets when damaging enemy targets cooldown is logical for a basic that does damage every 5.5 seconds
with rank 4 haste passive increase it will be slightly faster about 2.75 seconds. This Auto pack a punch.


Offensive Caster?!
This attributes are based on a single mechanic and it is Soul Drain. Soul Drain give abundant buffs ranging from
damage reduction to extra damage against your enemy. Additionally endurance percentage. The damage you are
doing will not only benefit your solo but will also benefit your party or people in the room. Showing them who is
the new Abyss General. Soul Drain isn't a consumable stack but attribute applied & fade-out if player didn't keep it up.


Enhancements for class specific
This class specific not equipment will largely benefit from Wizard Enhancements. Although, you still can use luck at some point.
However, highly recommending Wizard enhancements for class specific. You can do Luck for equipment to benefit from crit needed.


In terms of Aura
If the Aura is got limited stack then it will loop at final stack & no further benefit needed. Other than that there is no reapplication.



Mechanic
You are not supposed spam your abilities the whole time. Otherwise, you will be dead. 75% of your abilities rely on your HP.
1 Ability which is your 5th aka Ultimate will use entire 100 of mana. This is where you recharge your mana using 4th skill.
to generate 75% of your mana & leave the rest for your auto attack. Additionally your 1st skill, 2nd skill, 3rd skill will help
replenish your mana since it doesn't use any mana. This class will not be easy to use just because you can do all that damage
This class will be a challenge that is why I put certain recommendation as of yet I'm still making some studies about it as well
Yes you will have your HoT as if you were pocketing that. However, it won't be helpful if are a player who spam your abilities constantly.
You start with your 1st skill to spawn your battle blade pet. Use your 1st skill again to get soul drain. After that, use 3rd skill to gain power
& buffs. HoT from 1st skill still applies then apply it one more time. Now you are at risk because you used all your health. Don't worry because
Each hit from you or you battle blade pet will heal you. So use your 1st skill again to keep Soul Drain up. Then, use your 2nd Skill to apply
Armageddon-Like strong DoT. You are still healing so keep your Soul Drain up and use your 3rd Skill again. After that use 1st Skill one more.
Now use your 4th Skill. This won't be easy task because the amount of health you lose.

Sinless Shotelai
Description: A thousand years of starless slumber, awakening long after those they knew had gone before them only to be once more a single grain standing against the never-ceasing tide of evil. Though it is the highest honor, why do they weep so bitterly, Hero?
Weapon Damage: 10%, 1.0 speed
Stat model: Dodge Melee
Recommended Enhancements: Thief
Special Effects:
Sinless Shotelai gain mana when they:
Strike an enemy in combat (more effective on crits)
Dodge any attack (restores HP as well)

Ludic Peck (auto-attack)

Type: Physical
Range: A short-range attack that deals damage to 1 target.
Description: A playful strike, putting distance between yourself and the opponent. Each hit applies Bushcrow Stance, increasing your Dodge by 5% up to 8 stacks for 4 seconds. Also applies Punctured to the target, a DoT that deals 1% weapon damage for 6 seconds, stacking infinitely. Can’t crit.

Meandering Road

Type: Physical
Range: A short-range attack that deals damage to 1 target.
Description: Slip past the opponent's guard, delivering a moderate blow. Damage is increased by Bushcrow Stance stacks, consuming those stacks. Applies Punctured to the target for a number of stacks equivalent to the number of Bushcrow Stance stacks consumed. Can’t crit.

Giant-Killer
Rank Needed: 2
Mana Cost: 15 Mana
Mana Cooldown: 6 seconds
Type: Physical
Range: A short-range attack that deals damage to 1 target.
Description: A firm strike that circles around your haggard opponent, toppling them off balance. Consumes Punctured stacks on the target, applying an equivalent number of stacks of Throes to the target, decreasing Dodge and increasing incoming physical damage, outgoing damage, and Haste by 1% for 12 seconds, stacking infinitely. Can’t crit.


Lamb’s Mercy
Rank Needed: 3
Mana Cost: 20 Mana
Mana Cooldown: 12
Type: Physical
Range: A short-range attack that deals damage to 1 target.
Description: Viciously strike at your prostrate opponent, dealing strong damage. Cannot be used if the target has no stacks of Throes. Damage is marginally increased by Throes stacks on the target, consuming those stacks. Applies an equivalent number of stacks of Punctured to the target. Can’t crit.

Lily’s Poise

Type: Passive Ability
Description: How beautiful, a blade that cuts as gentle as the lily sways in the wind. Increases Dodge by 40% and Haste by 20%.

Coral’s Lustre

Description: How ugly, this coral red color staining the blade. When Bushcrow Stance is active, outgoing damage is increased by 5% for each stack.

Blade Psalm
Rank Needed: 5
Mana Cost: 40 Mana
Mana Cooldown: 24
Type: Physical
Range: A short-range attack that deals damage to 1 target.
Description: At the centre point of brutality and grace, your blade strokes briefly reach their most excellent, dealing massive damage to your opponent. Damage is greatly increased by Punctured stacks on the target, consuming those stacks. For each consumed stack of Punctured, a stack of Bushcrow Torpor is applied to you, decreasing Dodge by 1% up to 120 stacks for 12 seconds. Can’t miss but can’t crit.

Leonine Triumph
Rank Needed: 10
Type: Passive Ability
Description: Starting at rank 1, all skills have a 20% chance to apply Leonine Triumph, increasing DoT damage by 200% for 2 seconds.

Notes

  • Most of the skill damage values are left ambiguous because I have absolutely not a clue how much is considered too high or too low.
  • At the 24-second mark, Ludic Peck in conjunction with Punctured stacks without Leonine Triumph procs and Coral's Lustre should have dealt around an average of 58% weapon damage per second up till that point if the skills had been used properly. Comparably, to match the average auto-attack DPS of Yami no Ronin, for example, around 30 seconds of correct skill usage would have to have elapsed.
  • While it is true that the Sinless Shotelai could theoretically reach absurd DPS through Punctured stacks, as far as I can determine, that process would be too long and time-consuming to have any meaningful application beyond bosses with absurdly high HP.
  • That, in turn, is exactly what this class is designed to be. The Sinless Shotelai is supposed to be an extremely selfish boss-soloing class built around looping Punctured and Throes stacks, the latter skill of which actively harms non-dodge-based classes, to achieve boss-kill DoT or otherwise to drop Blade Psalm nukes on high HP bosses.
  • It lacks sorely against lower-HP bosses, as its kit takes far too long to meaningfully come online for most of combat, meaning that against low-mid HP bosses, other solo classes would consistently outperform.
  • Besides Leonine Triumph which is unstackable but loopable, the Puncture, Bushcrow Stance, and Throes auras are all stackable.

Minimum player level of 80 or something similar.

Perhaps a series of quests for acquisition, beginning from Loremaster Maya. The class is themed around the Aksumite/Abyssinian shotelai swordsmen, so I think framing it in-lore as the paladin-equivalents of an enclave of Celestials or ancient good empire situated in the region of the modern Sandsea.
The lore blurb for the class itself would probably play in here, maybe the Sinless Shotelai were swordsmen of this empire who willingly gave themselves to have their spirits preserved with necromancy so as to rise again to combat evil/chaos/whatever when the world is in need of them again?
Maybe the questline could center around finding the tombs of these swordsmen and resurrecting them, either through more archeology/ancient history-themed quests, or quests that strong-arming it by bringing in any one of the 200 million evil NPCs that can use necromancy.

ArchAngel class (or can be called Guardian Angel or Celestial)

Full Hybrid

ArchAngels gain mana when:

They dodge an attack
They are struck in combat

Auto Attack:
multi target
1.5 second cooldown
A defensive parry taught specifically to celestials. Deals damage based on Defense and END power. Undead take extra damage from Celestial radiating glory



Rank 2:Light Of Glory
15 second cool down
An infinite range status skill that applies to 5 friendly targets

Release some of the tension within your celestial being, shedding light to your companions, highlighting their weaknesses.

boosts each class's lowest stat by 25% and gives a large HoT.



Rank 3:Divine Inspiration
5 Second cooldown
An infinite range status skill that applies to 5 friendly targets

Your companions find a sense of honor fighting alongside you, increasing their determination and hope for a better future!

Gain 15% Defense and END for 10 seconds. Stacks to 3. Also heals intermediately and increases outgoing damage by 10%



Rank 4:
Passive: STR annd END increased by 10%
passive: INT and DXT increased by 10%


Rank 4:Valliant Intervention:
A medium range attack that deals damage to 2 hostile targets
10 second cooldown

Shed light onto your opponent's weaknesses while also harming them as they reflect upon their own wrongdoings.

Applies Self Aware which causes your opponent to deal 75% damage to themselves each time they lash out for 7 seconds.
stacks to 2.



Rank 5:Heavenly Judgement
A long range attack that deals 200% overall damage to 3 hostile targets
6 second cooldown

Introduce the consequences and judgement of sin upon your opponents.

Has 30% chance to apply quake, stunning target for 4 seconds
Applies weighted, reducing outgoing damage by 10% stacking to 4 and lasting 6 seconds
Applies Anxiety, reducing hit chance and increasing damage taken by 10%. Stacks to 2.



Rank 10 Passive: When ArchAngels HP lands below 15% they heal themselves and 4 companions 50% of their max HP. Resets after 25 seconds


Can be tweaked. If you decide to change the name to Guardian angel, release some offensive stats and fill with defensive ones.


The game is unbalanced between good and evil in terms of items, player affiliation, quests, and classes. We have the most powerful classes and the majority of weapons in the game being evil, with no light classes that can really match up to their power. All things should be balanced, and that's where this class comes in. I don't really mind what's changed about it as long as it's not nerfed in terms of power in comparisons to the main powerhouse evil classes like YnR, LR, VDK, VHL, and ArcInv. May it cost players an upward of 500 champion sashes from Aranx to get it. Don't make it easy or people will have no respect for how they got it and what its worth. If things in this game don't get more positive I will quit playing, after 12 years. The world is already dark, shine light where you can.
