Kero the Chronocroaker Rare Monster Hunt
Join the leap year excitement as we pay homage to a beloved classic RPG, and a favorite among many of the AQ Team. Wracked with guilt for failing his duty and mentor, Kero the ChronoCroaker was cast into your path by the Void's whims! Your presence triggered something in his curse, driving him to attack! Can you set him on the path to escaping his froggone fate?

Encounter Kero randomly in your adventures all across Lore. Seize the moment before he vanishes into the temporal abyss, for his appearance is as fleeting as the second hand of a clock!

    The Chronocroaker may make a comeback before the next leap year with another time-related event. Kero has a lot of interesting mechanics, and this release will include a new armor among the other rewards. To ensure everything is ready, we require extra time for preparation. Expect Kero's arrival on Friday!


    UPDATE: Kamui inadvertently overwrote his local work on the mob, so there will be a bit of a delay in today's release. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

    Paxia defense and attacking nautica works but flee at fight 3 or game will crash.

    A rather fun set of items with this one.

    The best way to find Kero the Chronocroaker:
    Travel Map, East, Paxia Clans, Defense Forces, Attack Nautica
    You should flee at the first, 2nd or 3rd monster since the game soft-locks after the 3rd monster. If you use a DoT to kill him it will blue scroll the game so make sure the final hit is not a DoT effect. The DoT bug is a bug for all shop monsters so it must run deep in the code.

    There is also a Kero shop loading bug. If exiting and clearing cache OR re-arranging items in your inventory through any shop does not fix the kero shop loading bug you should wait until the team fixes it.

    Weird. I didn't have any issues on release, must have popped up later on.

    I keep encountering the Blue Scroll when I visit "Attack Nautica", I assume is Kero the Chronocroaker ? So, any idea when this will be fixed ?

    Note: My last login to game was >1 month ago and I did cleared cache.
    Note2: I always flee when I fail to encounter Kero on first battle. So could the Blue Scroll arose from encountering Kero itself, if that helps.

    If you kill any monster with an item shop with any kind of DoT attack (Burn, Bleed, Poison, etc.) then they will give you a BSoD (Blue Scroll). This is an issue for all monsters like this. Just don't kill them with DoTs.
    If you got the BSoD just from finding Kero then it's probably something else, unless Kero was changed in some way after his initial release and a new bug popped up.

    There is a bug with attacking clans as well - it gives a BSoD when the 3rd fight is done. The suggestion is to flee from the 3rd fight if it isn't Kero.

    That's been known for some time. Hopefully fixed by the time Paxia gets an update. Who knows when that would be? 2 fights and flee has been the strategy there.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Scrapped the Attack Nautica only getting Blue Scrolls. Spent 40 minutes on RA and defeated it in Armor and Shield of Awe using dual Energy Hedgemogs (super basic yet effective).

    The ChronoCroaker armor gets a 10/10 for the animations and mechanics!

    Fun fight! It went down by DoT and I was able to get the shop, so the experiences may vary. I was on the 2nd Nautica fight.

    I totally agree, the armour is wonderful.

    Another way to find Kero is if you have the TLAPD painting and do the pirate quiz, no fleeing involved and full heal after each battle. [:D]

    My only critique is that rangers and mages did not get a weapon, otherwise really cool items.
