Varghus -> Defensive Warrior/Hybrid after Stat Revamp (5/13/2024 19:17:59)

With the stat revamp how viable would a defensive warrior/hybrid be? What equipment would be recommended for a defensive build?

FD warrior is viable (not that it wasn't pre stat revamp, but now it's optimal). The easiest way to play it is to probably use a boatload of beastmaster gear and spam pets and guests just like FDBR builds have been doing forever.

Realistically, it'll be hard to beat the beastmaster FD armors, Sol Neko, Bard of War, a few other armors like Reigndragon Rider 2 and uhhhh whatever other random beastmaster armors are scattered around the game.

There are very few FD armors designed for the "traditional" warrior gameplay loop, of spam weapon based skills and profit. Two FD armors (barring weird bad exceptions) currently have weapon based skills, and one is Winter Warden, which is not something I'd recommend as an ice damage source, and the other is Kero Chronocroaker, which comes from a seasonal monster battle which is allegedly gone now (sometimes they forget to remove them from the monster pools so he might still be around) which has a water and energy based weapon based skill. The energy one is expensive and high damage, the water one is somewhat less expensive and low damage. You can also use paladin in FD form, which humorously enough was bugged to deal neutral damage with its skills in FD lean before the stat revamp, but now it's not a bug.
