An often overlooked part of the Golden Giftboxes, I think it’s worth discussing how can we make it potentially worth its salt.

With an eyebrow-raising number of content (and rewards) locked behind seasonals, I opine that generic gap-filling always-available item categories and/or mechanics can and should fall under here.

If compression is too much to ask, dual elemental gear could fit in here. They’d be easy to clone for tight release schedules, as an added benefit.

But perhaps a revamp of the Common tier Golden Giftboxes is in order, however low that may be in the priority list. How would that look like?

Discuss (amicably)!

I'd rather convert my commons to rares and then UR's if necessary. I do think more items need to be made for commons for sure, but at the end of the day they're best utilized for conversions

There's some gapfillers I think would go great in the common boxes.

I think an elemental defensive misc of each element with a BTH boost would be awesome. I view these as exceptionally helpful miscs particularly for new players, as the ability to greatly reduce incoming damage for a reasonable upkeep is very strong. That would be 8 individual items however, so if that's too many, there are some misc elements that currently don't have accessible options (dark, water, fire, energy, and uhhhhh some others I can't remember offhand already do) that could be prioritized.

FD, FO, and Spellcaster Armors of each element would also be nice. They don't have to be complicated, they can follow the exact same statline as yulgar armors (even use the same art if necessary to save time?) and just be named Greater Defensive Water Plate or Greater Offensive Fire Plate or Greater Spellslinger Energy Plate, for example. I don't think this would happen necessarily, particularly for spellcaster lean, as I think it's currently very held back from being mass produced, intentionally or as a result of not having many armor releases per year, but it would be my goal. It would also be my goal to give each armor a skill following their type, weapon based for FO, weapon based / spell type following weapon type for FD (melee get weapon based, others get spell type), and spell type for SC lean.

As for other gear, I think the niches get much more complicated, like I'd love to have more poison pets and guests since there are only a handful in game, but putting them all in common GGBs seems random and arbitrary.
