The Ultimate Frostval Surprise
The gift delivery mission is nearly at an end and that means the Guardian Giftboxes will soon begin to open!

Make sure you head over to the Guardian Tower and pick up your giftboxes as we wait to see what's inside at the end of the Frostval Gift Delivery! This year's theme for the Guardian's gifts bring a golden gleam of legendary might. Do not delay as the Guardian Giftboxes will leave the shop in the Guardian Tower at 11:59PM EST on December 31st!

    I'm excited to see what's in the giftboxes. I finally got my hands on the h-series armor and essence of carnage, and have been attempting to do some serious (and joyful!) damage to the mobs in my spare time. Happy Frostval, and happy new year, everyone!

    ^ What do you mean? The items and events have been live. The giftboxes always open up after we've won the annual Frostval war.

    That's untrue. We had a year or some years where they opened in waves, and before the war was over. For example, they opened 1-2 things at 90%, 1-2 more at 95%, and 1-2 more at 100% (something similar)

    Considering the war meter is gaining slowly, I think it would be nice if they did it that way this year.

    Happy to be back again for abit, after youtube algorithm recommended me an AQ video LOL, unlocked a core memory. Sadge missed the guardian giftboxes deadline, but will still click around for the war to end sooner. Wishing everyone good health good wealth and happiness in 2025 everyone!

    When you go to buy tokens inside the account page, it says the token bonus ends January 14th. I think the bonus time was extended.

    Thanks to your incredible combined efforts, all of the Frostval gifts have successfully made their way to their destinations, and the Guardian Giftboxes are now beginning to open. The faces, weapons and shields are now open. Keep watching throughout the week as the remaining gear becomes available! Due to having one of our programmers out sick, we'll be releasing the gear gradually as they continue recovering. Work on the Frostval event armor is currently being completed as well.

    The guest Festive Legionary from the War reward shop is bugged.

    It does not reduce enemy healing, or improve player healing when enemy is panicked.

    ^I actually made a thread in the Question section about that. The Festive Shield doesn't seem to reduce enemy healing either. If the guest is not working, then that means it must be the "Increase Healing Resistance" status that is bugged, because the Nickelclad Weapons "reduce healing" ability work.

    I don't understand the added complexity to the effect. Make use of the disease status or have an effect similar to the underwyrmling pet. We know both work so use that. Instead we get two items with nonexistent benefits. I'm not so sure even with the intended effect either equipment will be worth using. Still hopeful for armor but rest so far seems underwhelming.

    Not to sound like a broken record, but any updates regarding the possibility of making a way to gain access to pre-2014 Frostval events?

    The giftbox spell/skill is now open! I'm gonna get food and then get to finishing up the giftbox pet, so look forward to it!

    And my excitement is gone gone as quickly as it came. A high cost qc barrier with ele shield. No thanks. Maybe there's more to it.

    Can this become a heal? We pay hp for other parts of the set. Spell could consume barrier, heal us plus add ele shield.

    ^What Aura knight said. A healing spell is better. The barrier feels redundant and is inconsistent, sometimes I get 400 barrier and other times I get only 200, the SP cost is heavy too. The SP used for this is better spent on the weapon to stack up barriers.

    ...Only now, with the Spell/Skill's description, do I realize that this set is a Warhammer 40K reference. Neat! At this point, the only question I have is whether or not this set is a Beefy Defensive set or an Offensive set with a lot of built-in defense through barrier generation. Looking forward to seeing what the remaining parts of the set do!

    Bolter is asking about frostvals from before 2014, which have no portal paintings to access them with, not the contents of the 2014 painting.

    I tried the open ones for a few battles, then chucked it all to storage including the unopened armor giftbox. Not my cup of tea (prefer FO head-on gameplay). Maybe I'll take them out again in the future. We'll see..

    So far the items are interesting/useful, and the art is really great, especially on the pet toggle attack! Excited for the armor + misc

    QC huge cost spell for tiny barrier and tiny eleshield, seems meh. The worst is the spell becoming a call guest. Yikers.

    The weapon is fine. The pet is very nice. We'll see on the rest

    I don't understand why the pet would remove the shield for extra damage, rather than increasing the shield. Such items have never really appealed to me; why waste resources generating something useful, only to then voluntarily give that thing up again, instead of actually using it? Seems to me the same as buying food, only to then throw it out instead of eating it.

    Couldn't the pet add to the shield, so it actually works with what the rest of the set tries to achieve, instead of working against it?
