With these new faces I have to ask if it would be okay to make these faces a permanent addition to the GGBs or at least let them be seasonal, unlike certain unreturned GGB faces like the hivediver faces or some of the magus faces (Which I still hope return one day)

Also makes me wonder if the owl will have some lore hints or drops

I second JhyShy's suggestion and I share the enthusiasm of CH4OT1C!.
Unless there is a technical limitation on the contents a shop can contain, I see little reason to not simply return all GGBs that have not been explicitly stated to be perma rare, and create variants for those that have. If there is such a limitation, perhaps all said items could be put into an automatic rotation, so the staff merely have to add new items to said rotation system, rather than manually adding and removing all those items from the shops each cycle.

As for the new tome: My mage shall be pleased with learning its ancient secrets. He collects tomes, as one does when time loses all meaning and yearning for knowledge becomes an eternal obsession that the mailman couldn't possibly fathom the importance of when he dares be late with a tome delivery!!
... He's a bit eccentric that one. Also the mailman is now a horse that runs at Mach 4.

Really excited for the tome, I just hope it's not going to be a light clone of glacial short staff, and instead hopefully they do something different and unique with it.

    Excellent art!

    I want to raise a point of confusion regarding the INT boost from the tome.

    Personally I think it is completely fine to have such a boost (QC +117 INT). This is good, and seems like something a lot of players would and do enjoy.

    However, it's certainly very confusing from a player perspective when the Reign misc was reduced from similar to ~+40 STR, and one of the explicit reasons given was because it exceeded Buffalot (token package), and this tome does exactly that with respect to Arcane Amplification.

    There is definitely something to be said regarding this tome exceeding the INT boost provided by Arcane Amplification, especially when it's also capable of casting other spells. With that said, I'm not sure how helpful it is to compare it with Eternal Reign's Memory. The initial version of that misc had quite a few more problems than just its STR boost exceeding the one provided by Buffalot's Beach Bod.

    I'm just slightly baffled, and I want to have confidence in buying any such items.

    I think it's a perfectly legitimate comparison - the explicit reasoning given at the time for Reign (from LK) was: "It's still going to be really good, just not stronger than any misc gets to be and even stronger than Buffalot."

    My understanding of this was that it was an issue that it was stronger than buffalot. Yes, you could argue there were other issues, but that doesn't mean that it being stronger than buffalot was not an issue. Happy to be corrected on this if I have misunderstood. If not, I don't see how this is any different.

    Again, I think the item is good at its current power and don't necessarily think it should change, I just don't understand.

    There's no concern as tome's boost functions differently with having cooldown and costing mp which despite ways to recover remains a finite resource especially how mp heavy this tome is. If anything a swap between boosts on tome vs arcane amp could be ok. I'm fine if nothing changes too. It's a fun addition to tome users.

    I think the differences in the INT boosts from Arcane Amplification and Tome of Oulbara highlight how stat-boosting statuses have been valued differently over the last 7-8 years. Thankfully, stat-boosting statuses have been valued fairly consistently in recent times.

    If anything, it would be nice for spells like Buffalot's Beach Bod and Arcane Amplification to be updated to the current standard (which would buff them). Moonwalker's Grace is a bit of an oddball because it appears that instead of a x1.1 always-useful penalty being applied to the spell cost (like the two aforementioned spells), a x0.85 penalty was applied to the DEX boost (I don't know why, this is just what the numbers tell me). In addition, just because it has an MP cost, it was slapped with a 125% melee MP cost rather than the 100% melee MP cost that it should have been.
