Magic & Metal? Sounds like an 80s heavy metal album.

These are cool items. Haven’t fully worked through but is there an inconsistency in eating costs? Eg, compared with Second bloom, it looks like Second bloom doesn’t take the overcharge into account in this, (eats up to a max of 2x base cost) but the new fire spell does. Separate but related; the double cost for seeking feels very bad. Yet to fully playtest, but eating 300% melee burn for +75% damage dealt (+150%melee) produces a bad gut reaction. I see the logic with the eleseek theoretically doubling the utility, but it just feels very harsh/too strong a disincentive against compression

Got to say I love the new fire/light spell and the art. Even against opponents without burn it deals significantly more damage than most spells.
