Just came back to the game and i'm happy it is still getting updates weekly. Unfortunately i just missed out on the Retro Mythical Warrior armor though...[:(]

Mystical Warrior -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/22/2026 7:23:53)

@greenlegend If by some chance you want in the previous Mythical Warrior raffle, its shop in ballyhoo will also have the Retro version

Singularity -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 1:03:17)

Is the final solstice not out yet or am i supposed to go somewhere in game to access it?

SongOfInsanity -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 2:00:44)

@Singularity It is out and you should be able to access it in the Today's Event button. Although I would wait a bit longer to play it. The reward shop seems to be missing items.

Singularity -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 2:57:53)

i didnt listen and did it anyway. lol. all token equipment minus the fire armour. they sound neat though. are you saying theirs supposed to be a misc, spell and pet? or just more of the others

Maxtrigon -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 3:27:06)

First off, I loved the finale, the quest, and the everything about it. I love the armor, the design, just everything. I want to properly thank the team from both the artists and the story writers, and poor Kam that has been (presumably) ragged doing everything while Ianthe isn't available.

So what I say next, is being said out of a loving frustration than pure vitriol. Just this once, just this once could you not have put a preem set in a quest shop? This year has already seen so many sets behind premium purchases, either of ZT or ZT packs, that this one finale, out of everything else, DESERVED to not have anything to mar it, and I can't help feel how disappointing it is to see that the only free thing in the shop is the armor. Not even the face to the armor, just the armor by itself. There's another set that's a light-based clone and four faces that total up to 2K ZTs and one armor that's Gold.

I understand that the previous sword and shield were made available in different releases, but just this once, could you not have polluted a release with a preem purchase? It also feels more and more like we were fed a lie about why faces and armors had to be separate because why is the regular face that's meant for the Gold armor paid for in ZTs? Why are you making us purchases faces with ZTs even for supposedly free sets? This isn't even the first time, as it also happened to Reign as well. I just wanted to really love this release without needing to feel like I can't love it to its fullest because of the needless inclusion of the ZT set. Just make them Gold, the faces too. We already have enough sets to purchase with premium methods, let this finale, the culmination of 5+ years of writing, the finale that's been delayed DUE TO PREMIUM ISSUES, be free of the thing.

SilverSoul -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 3:29:33)

@Singularity I believe Song accessed the shop before the bug was fixed, so by the time you accessed it everything was there.

Zeldax -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 3:36:37)

+1 to Maxtrigon's statements.

On another note, there are some issues with the armor, both bugs and some personal issues I have with it.
  • The first skill's burn eater doesn't seem to be working properly (not eating enough burn and not really seeing a damage increase)
  • The second skill is apparently supposed to be weapon-based but it is currently spell-based
  • The first and third skill are intentionally (?) spell-based despite being on an armor that is supposed to be for FD Warriors, who would have preferred weapon-based skills. Notably, the third skill is a spell-based status bomb, thus, it can only be combined with spellboosters which FD Warriors do not use. With that said, I assume its elecomp is used to increase the status bomb's numbers. Making the skill weapon-based would remove that, so I'm not exactly sure what I would prefer here, especially since it already costs so little SP. I guess it could be an overcharged weapon-based skill?
  • It's another FD Fire armor that deals with burn and panic, just like Gatekeeper (not much can be done about this, but wanted to point it out anyway)
  • Another FD Light armor

  • Andlu -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 4:17:21)

    I seriously have an issue with how many skills are being made to be spell based.

    The third skill on this armor has literally no applicable reason being efficient, spell based and no damage. That's honestly just worse than it just being a no damage weapon based skill. I'd honestly really like it if you could think of this suggestion, Kam, this armor could get a lot of upside from that.

    CH4OT1C! -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 4:19:28)

    I personally don't have an issue with the first and third skills being spell-based - it's less applicable to FD warrior specifically, but more palatable for FD builds across the board. The bugs need fixing, though.

    However, I must also support the wider sentiments of @Maxtrigon. I appreciate the difficulties associated with the current situation (everyone wishes @Ianthe a speedy recovery) but... really? After the past 6 months, it wasn't possible to support even a release this important without the majority of the rewards being premium? To put it mildly, that's deeply concerning.

    Zeldax -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 5:41:09)

    Alternatively, make the skills change resource cost and damage type based on equipped weapon. I just find it odd that an armor that was teased specifically to be an FD Warrior armor can't actually be used by a Warrior to its full potential.

    Kaizoku -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 11:23:21)

    That quest was badass! I like the look of the armor a lot more than the War we got before, though that one grew on me over the years too.

    Singularity -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 13:38:22)

    if anyone buys the token equipment, please post a review. Id love to know if its competitive enough to justify. I wish token equipment had like a testing arena or something, try before you buy. If instant on release info-subs cant be done. But i guess it results in more money made since more people will have to take the risk and purchase it, so from a business standpoint thats prob better

    Maxtrigon -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 20:23:15)

    @Singularity

    The token gear is just a Light clone of the Rider set (Final Judgement/War's Herald/The Last Rider) and as such, you can just get the Gold gear, see how you like it, and decide then if you want the Light clone of it.

    Personally speaking everything in that shop SHOULD be Gold considering the rampant barrage of premium sets we've seen and how this was meant to be the finale quest in an arc that's been *begging* to be finished for months now.

    Grace Xisthrith -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/23/2026 22:18:48)

    Very beautiful release, but I want to again state, like last year's boss fight against War, it's quite frustrating and a major let down when we just auto win against the boss because we're in an NPC form. Without being given the choice to fight it as normal.

    As a player who loves bossing, it's just not very fun to play as an NPC and not even have an option to play as my character and try out different item combos to win or style on the boss. If there's literally text in game for the rewards that says non cannon, I don't see why there can't be a -fight as player- button that's also labelled non cannon. It feels like a major limitation to not let the player play the game as usual, and a major waste of time to design bosses that we can't interact with in any way because we're locked to a single armor and weapon.

    Zeldax -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/24/2026 3:53:50)

    Another issue I have with the armor's third skill: It inflicts Panic on the first token hit and then Burn on the second token hit. This isn't the first time we have a skill/spell that does this (we recently got Stormwell Eruption), but this recent trend (ish) is a bit annoying especially when we already have status bomb spells that automatically attempt to inflict statuses without having to rely on the token hits actually landing.

    Doomknight Arakos -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/24/2026 9:11:56)

    ^^ NPC form? We are actually THE boss.

    CH4OT1C! -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/24/2026 12:40:47)

    I'm aware that the 'Last Rider' is meant to be designed primarily for FD Warriors and, with that in mind, it doesn't really make sense for the skills to be anything other than weapon-type unless you also want to support the niche SPellcasting Warrior sub-type. However, there are a couple of factors which complicate the situation.
  • The Light version of this armour cost Z-Tokens. This puts the staff in a somewhat difficult position. Even if it wasn't intentional, there are now people that will have bought this version, and changing its skill types technically changes its core audience.
  • To make all of the skills inherently weapon-type would severely impact other FD build types. It's definitely not optimal for FD weapon-focused warriors as it stands, but it's also perfectly usable. To render the skills weapon-type would make them all but unusable for FD Rangers, Wand Mages, and Tome Mages outside of their no-drop slots. And even then, that's only because they don't have access to no-drops suitable for their build (due to their own chronic lack of support). That's not to mention FD SPellcasting warriors as mentioned above, though these are (of course) a niche build.

    It's a difficult balance to strike. I think probably the best solution would be something similar to what @Zeldax has suggested.
  • In Melee mode, the attacks should be weapon-type, costing SP, and with elecomp to cost (with skill three being to damage as with other elelocks. Sorry FD SPellcaster warriors, but this one's for the good for the broader build).
  • In Ranged mode, the attacks should be spell-type, costing SP, and with elecomp to damage (to override the 100-proc and make the skills usable). Essentially, the same as now.
  • In Magic mode, the attacks should be spell-type, costing MP, and with elecomp to damage (again, to override 100-procs). Again, essentially the same as now.

    This benefits appeals to a broad group, while also optimised to the primary way FD warrior is encouraged to play. It's a bit more work, but I think justifiable given (i) the token cost of the light armour (and thereby need to retain its released niche), and (ii) the importance of the release.

  • Singularity -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/26/2026 9:17:24)

    Moving forward I think it be nice if every token item had a gold item (not element variant, totally different option). Felt pretty bummed to basically not be able to buy anything. People prob feel it more cause its just like all these items, and only 1, thats not that great, cost gold.

    KhalJJ -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/27/2026 12:14:19)

    Really cool release, glad it finally happened, a fitting end - Touching writing.

    Regarding scheduling, it is truely incredible that staff would release an UR GGB burn eater spell and immediately devalue this by releasing, the immediate following week, an armor that compresses a spell doing the exact same thing, covering the EXACT SAME ELEMENTS ? crazy. regardless, both very cool items.

    Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/27/2026 16:03:44)

    Man. I acftually, unironically, wish that Last Rider armor was FO. I love the design of it. I would never use any other fire armor if it was FO.

    And if people want to come at me with the FD niche, my solution would honestly be to swap War's Legacy and Last Rider around in leans. Make Legacy FD.

    That note aside, stunning quest and I'm glad to see it come to a conclusion.

    The armor feels...meh. I usually use FO armors, so switching to an FD armor is obviously going to mean less damage, but eve considering that, the armor feels weak. Spamming Horror is a good way to inflict panic and burn, but it's still, y'know, burn damage. It's low damage compared to actual attacks. And attacks don't feel all that strong, either. Against the training drakel, Devastation (unbuffed) was only dealing like 500 damage. A standard fire skill used by a fire armor and it barely does anything. Getting the burn to anywhere near 400% takes a lot of spamming and still didn't seem to affect the damage (At all, it seemed. A bug?), but even if it DID deal 5x damage and averaged 2000+ damage against a 100% resist enemy, that requires many turns of trivial damage and lots of SP to eventually get, since Horror itself doesn't deal legitimate damage.

    Devastation: Standard (Armor element) skill, deals more damage by consuming enemy burn, up to 400%. Requires too much setup for too much cost and not enough damage. A costly nuke that doesn't nuke.

    Havoc: Above-standard (Armor element) skill. If enemy is panicked, it has a standard SP cost and a chance to heal a little on hit. Doesn't heal much, and damage is comparable to unbuffed Devastation.

    Horror: Efficient (Armor element) skill. Deals 1 damage per two hits. Attempts to panic/burn monster.

    If Horror actually DID damage, this might be salvageable as a decent fire armor. Devastation might be bugged since even near max burn, the damage is still unimpressive. It seems to only eat 100% burn, though, despite what the tooltip implies. The armor's Initiative bonus doesn't really matter since it relies on status infliction and won't meaningfully get any use from the turn-1 damage buff. The most you'd get from that is getting to act first with 0LUK.

    The weapon does NOT inflict passive burns. Click the weapon to spend standard SP and use a 2-hit skill that inflicts an HP and SP Light burn on the enemy for 4 rounds each. The SP burn seems to rooouuuughly average about 40SP per tick. Not a bad weapon. Has some niche utility.

    The SHIELD, though, is quite interesting. Light shield, blocking attacks makes enemies Panic. More Panic infliction if they are burned. This pairs PHENOMENALLY with Paladin armor (best Light armor in the game). It's Light, so it matches up there, and lets Paladin passively inflict Panic without needing to use the 98SP toggle. Want to super-panic an enemy? Toggle Panic attacks and double up on Panic infliction with the shield. Want to Panic AND Burn? No need to use the costly 196SP toggle. Just toggle the 98SP Burn to inflict both. AND the Panic will be stronger thanks to the Burn toggle. Want to absolutely WITHER the enemy? 196SP Panic/Burn toggle WITH the shield. And because of Paladin's lean manipulation, you can use it however you want without being locked to FD.

    The shield honestly pairs well with a lot of Darkness warrior armors that focus on evasion, like Shadowfall Raiment and True Nemesis' Testament. Evade, proc the Panic, repeat. The Light element of the shield makes fighting Light enemies less risky, and the Panic effect only further helps that along.

    Aura Knight -> RE: =AQ= Final Solstice Saga Finale (5/29/2026 14:15:42)

    I like the initiative and panic/burn skill but the rest is by no means impressive. The heal should not be a fixed value but instead dependent on the hits. Could be a fraction. Anything would be better than the current. A burn enhancer might be nice too seeing as how the status fuels a skill. Ideally that would go to the attack.
