Which is better when using with a Doomlight armor? Also, how would a Dreadfiend backlash correlate assuming 100% resistance to the element vs the Harm backlash. Thank you!

I remember doing a rough calculation with this a few months ago, for general backlash, Carnage is better, but if you have equipments that also offer other sources of Harm Backlash, Fan Cameo pulls ahead a little. But you have to also take in mind that Carnage also improves your own "Attack" dmg, while Fan Cameo offers only improved Harm dmg, so while you are relying on Backlash, your own attacks are much stronger with Carnage, Fan Cameo will only pull ahead a little if you are somehow using a Harm Weapon but I haven't tried comparing that specific weapon element scenario

Essence of Carnage's Backlash is 48.22% baseline, Fan Cameo's baseline is 33.8%. This is before factoring in your CHA and its style bonus, with 0 CHA you should have half of these values. If we're only focusing on the backlash damage, EoC is clearly better with its higher value. A dreadfiend backlash however beats both of them easily at a 100% modifier since they have a higher backlash value (67.5% with expected CHA, ignoring the style bonus).

@Arcanum While EoC does have higher base backlash, you have to consider Fan Cameo's second buff which improves Harm dmg, which also affects Fan Cameo's own backlash dmg, in my rough calculation before, EoC still wins by like ~3% after Fan Cameo takes into account its Harm dmg buff on its own backlash, which is why I said that Fan Cameo will pull further ahead of EoC if you are using other armors with Harm backlash since those would also be buffed by Fan Cameo

That's not how it works. Fan Cameo only boosts Harm damage by the player.
