Quite eager for the Gatta Set, hopefully Kam is well rested from their vacation. I don't know if it's still possible, however I would love for Gatta to have elemental compression. In terms of available dire lean gold item choices, we are currently lacking Fire, Ice, and Dark, so having a compression would greatly help as a stand-in for gap fillers. Besides that, I wonder what kind of fun mechanic the spell and second Gatta pet would use if a new design note would posted. [:)]

I think with this release my mage can come out of retirement. I don't remember the last spell I bought for him.

As for my main beastwarrior, this set should make a fine addition. I have a lot of sorting to do in my inventory.

with the new thunderstruck status for this set (as a renamed cold), we now have a few different status that are renamed cold effects. Do all these stack? If I inflict some stacks of thunderstuck and some stacks of cold, do both increase the power of cold eaters?

Yes.

They stack and typically get rolled into the same save and status visually. There are exceptions like Scourge Entropy Form armor, from the 20K token package weapon, gets listed as a different status in the status window from what I hear. Cold eaters will eat them the same regardless of name and sometimes applying a different type of cold changes the name of the status but they are all the same for all intents and purposes.

All of Gatta's weapons seem to bugged in some way. From my very short testing, these are what I found (there may be others but I wouldn't know):
  • Melee's weapon skill is supposed to cost 100% Melee in SP but in-game it only costs 314 SP
  • Ranged weapon is supposed to be spending 30% Melee in SP in Harm + Drain Poison + Thunderstruck mode to inflict Thunderstruck, but it's currently inflicting Thunderstruck without spending 30% Melee in SP
  • Magic weapon isn't inflicting Thunderstruck at all, and the built-in spell only costs 418 MP at level 150 for some reason.

As for my thoughts on the weapons, I can't say I'm a fan of how different they are from each other. I would have preferred if they were set up similarly to the Magic weapon/Pet/Shield where it's just Default -> Drain Poison only -> Thunderstruck only -> Both Drain Poison and Thunderstruck. I also don't like how the Ranged weapon's Thunderstruck infliction is tied only to it's Harm mode, which changes both direct hits and the Drain Poison to Harm, meaning you can't inflict Thunderstruck while also inflicting an Energy Drain Poison (something that both the Melee and Magic weapons can do). As it stands, the only way to inflict Thunderstruck with the Ranged weapon is to switch to dealing Harm damage, which just puts you at a disadvantage when you're attacking an enemy that's weak to Energy (you know, the weapon's very element).

Overall, the addition of the Harm toggles on the Melee and Ranged weapons seems largely unnecessary IMO. It feels like the mechanics got messed up in an effort to make them do too many things at once.
