Weaving & Binding!
Hey there heroes!

This week, Soulweaver is receiving more special rewards for refusing Secundus, and you can now customize your keybinds!

[image]https://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/promo-september2026wk3dn.png[/image]

First up, the Thread of Fate - Aegis can now be obtained if you refuse Secundus! This special trinket has a skill that along with recovering some of your MP, and increasing your damage reduction, Avoidance, and Defense, will also summon Aegis to your side if possible! Note: This trinket's skill can only be used with the Soulweaver class.

Soulweaver also now has access to the Stage 4 customization option, provided you refused Secundus or obtained the Mote of Threads!

Soulweaver has also gotten some visual adjustments, including stage 4 Aegis synch (when unlocked) and synch'd eyes!

Next, customizable keybinds!

This has been a project long in the works, and I'm happy to say that it is finally finished! You can now click on the ? next to the Keyboard Controls option to load the new Keybinds interface! You can customize any of the keybinds shown there, along with using single modifiers, like Shift, Control, or Alt! You can also unbind keys if you wish. However, you cannot have the same keybind for multiple actions. (For example, you can have Shift+J and J but not J and J)

Keybinds are saved locally to your device.

There have also been a number of minor fixes that should not impact normal play.

We also have a new cosmetic cape available for Dragon Coins!

The FellFire Shroud can be purchased from the DC Cosmetics shop for 300 Dragon Coins!

And that's all for this week! Next week, Dracelix is taking a break, so it'll be up to Dove and I to wrangle the release for you! What will it be? We'll have to see!

The new trinket is really interesting, I look forward to seeing the opinions of some of the more spreadsheet savvy people here on how viable it'll be in the inn. As a player who loves utilizing guests for flavor in casual play, I'm very excited for this new development in trinket abilities.

One suggestion: is there a possibility for the mote's version of "rewrite history" to have an option to choose whether you wanna flip to the other side or to pre-decision? I like the new soulweaver modifications but I can imagine some players may want to still have the earlier Aegis animation available to them, and they may have helmets that the new eye glow looks awkward with. (Great attention to detail also applying the new Aegis model to the non-Baltael soul synch though.)

Getting to summon the new Aegis is pretty kickass, especially on Synch.

I love the new trinket! :D
Being able to summon stage 3 Aegis is very fun, both visually and for the boost -- and I like that we get rewarded for turning down Secundus.

Cute release. The Trinket animation looks really cool and I like that the developers try to make cool or unique stuff (like in-combat guest summons) regularly, and the 90 MP Heal with +10% DR for four turns is pretty good as an extra skill.

I don't understand why Stage 4 Aegis isn't a requirement for Master Soulweaver, though. It seems fitting that the passive Soulweaver upgrade would require the equivalent of Fleshweaver, because MSW and FW are roughly the same power level, or at least designed to be so. This is extra weird because you already do get a SW upgrade during or after Void Ship with the Baltael's Aventail. I know this is probably a result of having the SW revamp before fully deciding how the FW choice was going to work, but it never really made sense that you got two different upgrades at that time, because now the reward for rejecting Secundus looks very underwhelming by comparison, even though it is actually quite good.

It would make so much more sense to keep Baltael as the reward for finishing Void Ship by having it in Icy Caves and removing it from the other quests (which never made sense anyway), and requiring the completion of Valour for MSW. It would also be thematically appropriate to start seeing the Mastery status effect after reaching the pinnacle of your bond with your soul-ally.
