I have a question, how can i save a gif image so it doesnt exceed the file limit (Its animated)

trunammer -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/11/2005 13:07:18)

in imageready. go to window and then go to optimize. from there u can lower the quality using one of the options available. Lowering the file size can cause lower quality in both the image of the sig and the animation as well.

DarkMorning -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/16/2005 21:30:47)

how do you get the border where theres a lil black line the like open space then another black line?

Dark_Wurm -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/17/2005 2:24:18)

You do this by first stroking a 1 pixel line for the outer part of the border then go to Select>Modify>Contract (2 pixels or so). Then do another stroke.

Edit: BTW here is an old tutorial by me - I know a better way for this now but nevermind.

thesimpsomps -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/18/2005 7:29:38)

how can I make a picture look like it was windy?
and could you give me some advice with my newest sig?

JimmyCrackCorn -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/18/2005 9:28:24)

Select the layer you want "windied"

Filter > Distort > Wind. Easy as.

Needs more depth, the background is far too plain and i don't see why you needed the lens flare above the hammer..

Needs better text.

For the render - twiddle with Edit > Adjustments > Brightness/contrast, that'll make it more "life like"

Add a few layers of overlay white and black to make it seem alot more complex. NEVER just brush completely over i.e. don't click, hold and drag your mouse over the background. Controlled clicks is "teh way to go! lolzZZZ!" Anyway, yeah, that's my advice.

This sucks, looks like business died after it moved here, eh? Ah well, i was just stopping by and thought i would answer this question for our friend here ^.¬

Keep up the good work anyhow guys, and welcome Trunammer!

thesimpsomps -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/18/2005 10:31:02)

thank you a lot for your advice.
I'll try the 'Controlled clicks' [:D]
and how can I do the text where it looks like there was a mirror under it?
like here:
[image]http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/6876/tutorial0dh.jpg[/image]
And I needed the lens flare for the shadows in the image :)

UChihaSteven -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/18/2005 11:32:50)

for that reflect text just duplicate the text, the go to edit-->transform-->Vertical. Then put it under the text (just like a mirror thing) then reduce the opacity :) it's quite simple

Dark_Wurm -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/22/2005 7:07:01)

thesimpsomps -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/23/2005 6:52:57)

how can I make a pixel strech?

Dark_Wurm -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/25/2005 2:52:24)

In photoshop: Select a render of your choice. Select a vertical 1 pixel part of the image (big enough to fill up the sig top to bottom when it's stretched). Press Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V (a new layer will appear with just that 1 pixel part of the render). Then go Edit>Transform. Stretch the pixel across the sig. And there. You've done ur first pizel strech.

thesimpsomps -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/25/2005 7:03:22)

ok another Question:
how can I make those diagonal lines like on this sig?
[image]http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/6876/cloudsiggy5ce.jpg[/image]

JimmyCrackCorn -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/25/2005 12:25:05)

Goddamn, looks like my team is slacking -.-

Make a new canvas, 3x3, transparent background.

Zoom into maximum range.

Get your brush to 1px thickness and then make a diagonal line whichever way you want.

Then, i think it's edit, pattern, define pattern, or something or other. All that matters is you find define pattern.

And boom! You're Don Juan again. These are called scanlines by the way.

EDIT:

Ah i forgot, to add the lines:

Make a new layer above all the others, Normal style

Ctrl+a, fill, choose your pattern.

Fiddle with the opacity to get desired effects/rub out what you don't like.

thesimpsomps -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/25/2005 12:50:18)

ok I'm gonna try that thanks a lot.
1 more Q.
how do make a sig like this?
[image]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/su47s.jpg[/image]
I know how to do the Border but how can I make those lil picture thigies in the bg like in the bottom right hand corner? Is that drawn on the pc or copied and pasted or what?

Dark_Wurm -> RE: PS Advice: Solving All Your PS Problems and Needs. We rate too! (9/28/2005 3:04:59)

Most probably a tech brush has been used there. Look for them on google.
