wu218 -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/20/2006 17:29:52)

and i have a quesitron
on the step were u erase wit the soft brush, do u use white or black or any other color?

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/20/2006 17:41:49)

You actually don't erase, just use the brush, and it could be black or white depending on the overall tone of your sig.

wu218 -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/20/2006 17:44:57)

oo, ok

Vee Kay -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 0:56:36)

i always thought sprite sigs were brushless. a new approach to it, ill be checkin it out

chickenbakeok -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 0:58:39)

wow that turned out pretty sweet ima try it ^___^

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 1:23:03)

Yeah, normally sprite sigs are brushless. Personally, I'm sick of people on some forums saying drop the brushes, do defaults, and 80% of all default sigs suck badly. You can do three times as much with brushes.

Filters are nice sometimes, but not always. In the long run, brushes will prevail.

.Fullmetal_Tmd -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 1:40:48)

well, you sort of can't blame people saying 'don't use downloaded brushes'...lots of people just brush, slap a render on,color balnce layer, lower the render's opacity, and then slap on horrible, horrible fonts lol...there are only a few good brushers out there lol...
but anyways, this tut will definately help beginners...nice job on it :D

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 1:56:31)

Those 'most people' are beginners. They could make something much, much worse using filters and smudge. I've done a few smudge sigs myself and it's simpler than a brush, and the outcome totally sucked. I looked at a few tutorials, the outcomes to those sucked. It's nearly impossible to find a truly good default/smudge tutorial, yet so many people say 'go look at some tutorials.' And when you post an outcome from one, they say the same thing. It's a vicious, neverending circle.

Vee Kay -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 3:04:37)

when i tried it out, for some reason, when i pasted my sprite, it turned into a dull grey colour. wat happened there?

.Heads -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 9:25:39)

Wow, actually worked well in gimp :O

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 12:09:28)

Vampragonkid: You image was on grayscale. Go Image>Mode>RGB Color, and then paste it.

Broken Dream -> RE: [PS CS2] Sigs for the New Ones (3/21/2006 12:38:25)

.Heads -> RE: [PS CS2] Sprite Sig -- *New Style!* (3/21/2006 16:26:33)

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sprite Sig -- *New Style!* (3/21/2006 16:31:12)

You still had a pretty cool outcome.

chickenbakeok -> RE: [PS CS2] Sprite Sig -- *New Style!* (3/21/2006 22:59:17)

ZeusTheKungFuKiller -> RE: [PS CS2] Sprite Sig -- *New Style!* (3/21/2006 23:05:05)

My tutorial's just a guide. You are the one who makes it work. I like the outcome, especially the sprite and the burst effect.
