Swiper -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 14:34:38)

Aint too usful for me, but i've learnt things from looking at just the 2-3 step. my tags look alot better now in colour.

Memorex -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 15:40:51)

I found a few things that could effect your starfield and not turn out right. I found this out as i was trying to make it, during the first steps, nethier tvo or i could figure it out and it hit me today in school

For the noise filter
9-10% as tvo stated. but make sure to check gaussian and monochromatic are checked. They are key componets to makeing the starfield part of this tutorial work.

Just a little tid bit more info if people are getting the same problem as I had in the future.

Below: Yea lol, took a look at your pm in school and saw the gaussian part and added it, then the tutorial ran smoothly from threre. i'll post my outcome on monday when i can get access to my computer in school.

The Vengeful One -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 15:54:34)

Lol, that was quite a dilema wasn't it mem?

Anyways, the noise should be monochramatic, and guassian. Please let me know if you have any troubles with the tutorial, if needed I can make revisions.

Other than that I'm glad all of you seem to like it.

Nickwright -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 17:06:21)

Some Parts of the Tut were a little confusing and Made me either get fustrated that they didn't look right so I skipped them or Didn't add them but here be my Outcome:

I know its bad...but At least in future peices I know how to make my Bigger BG Stars and Meteors...

and for the Shockwave part..Wouldn't it just be easier to Make a Circle Smooth by White 1px and Rotate and Skew it?

Krieg -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 17:50:26)

Just took a peek, but it looks like a great tutorial. Nice job. [:D]

Renderless too. That makes it even better. [;)]

Zero Hex -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 17:52:47)

Gonna try it now. ^_^

Now that I have time. :D

Mobuis -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 18:02:45)

I need to dump this old GIMP.... ;_;

Zero Hex -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 18:15:42)

O.O

How did you get those colors when on the Levels Editor part? Meaning...first part. >___>

Lol, surprisingly similar...

And I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that... nick

Zero, the levels editor is under the color balance layer in the TUT... that's why it's colored.

Krieg -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/7/2006 22:58:52)

Nick is asking that for the "Shockwave" if it would be easier to draw a smooth, white circle with 1px line, rotate it (no idea why?), then skew it (to change perspective).

That's how I interpret it anyway. It makes sense.

The Vengeful One -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/8/2006 0:19:28)

No, I don't think it would be easier that way... and skewing doesnt change perspective, distortion does...

AppelX -> RE: Space-scape Tutorial [Photoshop] (12/9/2006 10:18:30)

Lol, very big, very nice, and faved.
