crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/4/2007 0:05:57)

Well, it's a bit better now. I'll fix it more tomorrow.

grim_reaper 111 -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/4/2007 1:53:48)

i thinks its very helpful

dominic_r_monroe -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/4/2007 2:04:05)

but brushing bg's makes your work look cheap brushing then ading effects is ok but...

Master Magic Mage -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/4/2007 2:28:40)

i would rather do that than do hours of careful effects and lighting to get the same effect.

nice tut.i love the brushes, ill dl them soon.

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/4/2007 11:33:31)

Thanks for posting guys! I'm gonna try to get it a bit bigger in a sec. Well it's seeable now, but the parts don't fit together...I hope it's still good though.

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/5/2007 14:19:21)

ok so now that it's bigger, anymore comments?

Wen Su the Tank -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/5/2007 14:45:28)

hey nice very nice for your first tut

Lightnin10 -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/5/2007 18:25:13)

this will help begginer gimpers good tut

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/5/2007 18:30:18)

thanks doodz! that's who it was made for =D! because i remeber when i had no clue how to get a brushed bg, i was quite nooby. i added the downloading part because there are alot of dwnloading and brushing tuts, but few are together as one(from what i've seen), and it's easier to have it as one tut. i might have made it into a full signature tut, but i'm not pwnage enough.

dark snypa -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/6/2007 18:18:57)

Nice crazy, i'm very new to GIMP and I was wondering how you made backgrounds using nice looking brushes, this tut helped a lot. Well thatnks for the great tut, if anyone needs help i'll recommend your tut to them [:D]

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/6/2007 18:29:34)

No problem snypa, glad to help. Thanks for the feedback!

lguan -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/6/2007 19:17:05)

This is an excellent tutorial for people new to GIMP. But what's up with the broken images? Did you make like more than one picture for the whole tut?

"... Cause an evil monkey to poop on your head ... " Hmmm ... O.o

Anyway, nice tut :)

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (5/6/2007 19:38:50)

lolz you're not the only one that likes monkeys. I had to think up something, and an evil monkey pooping was the best I could do... and yeah, I had to break it into pieces, otherwise it was waaay to small to read it. Thanks for posting!

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/3/2007 14:19:40)

hehe HUGE bump! i was on the last page :'(

Puppy -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/3/2007 20:41:26)

Good Guide, now I found out how to download brushes. =P. Want to see some of my results?

_Depression -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/4/2007 1:12:37)

crazy: instead of searching for GIMP brushes, you can use the whole Browse part, and through the drop-downs make your way to GIMP brushes. I've got like... 38 different packs lol

the saiyan prince -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/4/2007 4:23:08)

I downloaded the lightning brushes.
It did'nt work out as i hoped it would but there still good brushes.

One of them

DeathKnight2 -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/4/2007 17:44:39)

Well, instead of using color balance use colorize it works better...

Just to be nice since this is your first tut I have to admit it is kinda useless considering anyone can do it and there is almost 10 tutorials that are alike this...

Wen Su the Tank -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/5/2007 11:39:57)

i would say this is for total beginers who do not know much about gimp

crazysk8er -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/5/2007 14:14:26)

....yeah....

dk2 - i've shown this tut to at least 5 people on a different forum and they learned how to get and make brushed bg's from it. also, there are posts in here that say it helped, are you blind? color balance is much easier, and i prefer it to colorize, so if you think it's better, it really doesn't matter. go make a tut yourself on it.

dm - and i would say yes, that's the point of it, to help noob gimpers learn how to download brushes and use them...

noz_205 -> RE: GIMP Brush Tutorial (6/15/2008 15:19:55)

this is extreamly helpful for people who have just staqrted (like me)
It shows exactly how to do these things thanks
