HOW can u make a comic in photoshop

Nicky -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/11/2007 3:38:28)

TVR: Refresh button? No, I don't think so. At least, I've never heard of one.
What is a situation where you would need one? Just wondering.

Chaos: Hmm.. Yes, I think so.
Generally not really, but I'll try and help.

I don't think you can, without tracing them in Illy. I'm not particularly sure on this one though, sorry :(

Warelink: What section of comics do you want to know? To make a comic strip, you would make a new document, use the paint bucket and make the background black (Press D then click in your canvas with the paint bucket), and then make your boxes white with the marquee tool (M), then using the paint bucket alongside that by changing the colour (where the black is when you pressed D) to white. That's a basic comic strip, I think. Then you draw whatever you want in your white boxes.

~Chaos~ -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/11/2007 14:54:55)

Well yeah. I searched for the Trace (Live trace) and I tried it. But my pics get blurry, lose their eyes...

I hope you can help.
Thank you for answering my first question...

Nicky -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/15/2007 6:14:29)

Hmm... Trace live. I can't think of much besides that- unless you wanted to go over it by hand.

Sorry I can't help :(

~Chaos~ -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/15/2007 15:00:01)

Well no man (Or woman... I guess you're a girl) can do everything!

I'll do it the hard way... Thanks for helping me!

No problemo ^^ ~Nicky

joey895 -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/20/2007 12:07:02)

Deviant art is confusing me, also when i downloaded a brush off of it then it said "would you like to get the appropriate program from the web, or choose it from a list?" so i chose photoshop on a list and it said it was the wrong file type. so whats the right file type?

Ferfo -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/20/2007 12:50:26)

a brush for photoshop should be file type .abr
here i explain how to install them.
hope it helped ^^

joey895 -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/20/2007 16:31:20)

Ferfo the only problem with it is that it said it downloaded it but then i did a scan for it and it said that it wasnt downloaded on my computer.
But it helped i just couldnt find it.

mech_fable_adventure -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/20/2007 23:54:55)

im not exactly sure how to post images i made on photoshop onto the forums, can you help?

Ferfo -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/21/2007 12:18:50)

you upload them to www.imageshack.us , or www.photobucket.com
then, you upload
get the link that they give you (in imageshack, it says "direct link to image" in photobucket, it says "direct link")
like so
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/killer700/shikary.jpg

then, you select it all, and click the image button in your post, you get this
[image]http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/killer700/shikary.jpg[/image]

which results in this
[image]http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/killer700/shikary.jpg[/image]
hope it helped

nick_nr1 -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/22/2007 15:21:37)

where do i download it and is it free?

Ferfo -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/22/2007 20:38:41)

no, it is not free, but you can get a free trial (30 days) at www.adobe.com

The Virtual Reality -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/22/2007 20:47:21)

K, stupidest question eva! How can I bring in a stock on my comp, onto my canvas without opening a new document in PS? It aggravates me! I always have to upload to PB and Copy and Paste it! I know there's an easier way but how?

Grafh -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/22/2007 21:30:36)

Do you mean saving the image?

Right click on the stock you want and click on "Save image as". Save it somewhere you won't forget it, like the desktop.

Then when you have PS open, open the stock image. This of course opens it in a new doc, where you have to copy and paste it to your canvas. No way around that though.

Sylvir -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/22/2007 21:32:48)

He means going to browse, then copy pasting it into the canvas.
I dont think theres a way around this.

The Virtual Reality -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/23/2007 8:14:21)

Oh well Grafh got it. I didn't think of copying it when it opens a new document! *Hand to head!*
I kept on posting them on Photobucket and then Copy>Pasting 'em.... XD

Garudamgs -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/29/2007 11:27:17)

How can I transport a JPEG file (finished sig.) into a forum signature??
I used Adobe Photoshop CSS!![:D]

The Virtual Reality -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/29/2007 16:35:14)

Well... first off,
When saving an image in photoshop make sure under whatever you're calling your photo, to switch the spot to PNG. PNG is better quality then jpg. Then, make a free photobucket account and click upload and find your picture. Under your uploaded picture you can find a code that consists of

It'll have some URL in the middle. Then, copy and paste that url including the [img]s into the forum. One common mistake is to remember the [img]'s have to be lowercase.

Hope this helps!
-TVR

Garudamgs -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (10/30/2007 2:14:42)

Oh...Thanks,
Anyways,
I'll try it!

[:D]I did it!![:D]

Though...Thats my first,
I'll go make more(for myself)....

Resolute -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/13/2007 6:16:53)

I have Photoshop 4, and I was wondering if there was any way of doing this. Currently I have to use a selector brush or the magic selector to get it, and that takes time.

2k2ewyn -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/17/2007 12:41:00)

what is the best file to save something as using CS2?

Ferfo -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/18/2007 12:15:10)

if you want to keep the layers, so you can edit them later, then .psd
if you simply want the image, most people use .png, but i preffer .jpg with maximum quality, it has a lower file size.

Bakuryu the Mole -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/24/2007 8:23:37)

I have a small problem.

When I crop an Image using the Magic Wand and then when I try to put the Cropped Image into another window, it still has background.
Why is this?

Nicky -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/24/2007 18:07:27)

Hmm. It might be your settings.

When you go to File -> New, to paste in the cropped image, change the bit that says "Background Contents" to Transparent.

See if that works.

Bakuryu the Mole -> RE: Photoshop Q&A Thread (11/26/2007 15:37:58)

Yes, it did work!
Thanks Nicky!
