Tired of resizing? Tired of file deletion? Tired of upload quotas and space quotas?

The answer is here! Althorne-Online Dedicated GoCA Image Space! Just visit

http://althorne-online.com/goca

Althorne-Online Upload Space for the GoCA and DAaS and HDA is for images free from copyright and your own personal work. For example, a stock image from a free stock site with no copyright is ok, and so is a photo you took with your own camera. However, a pic off google is not alright for copyright reasons

I'm working on getting domain shortening tools for those who don't want to type the url.

Some info

What Makes Althorne-Online GoCA, DAaS and HDA imagehosting Better Than Photobucket and Imageshack?

Unlimited Quota - No Limits
20mb Filesize. As opposed to 1.5mb (imageshack) - giving room for uncompressed tags, flashes and tutorials.
No Bandwith Quota - Show your image as many times as you like
See the rest for yourself at http://althorne-online.com/goca

YOU have complete control over your images. You don't even have to make an account

Imageshack allows non registered uploads

On our uploader, there is no reason to make an account. Just press the upload button and you're good to go.

Make your way to http://althorne-online.com/goca for expert image hosting, purely for the goca

I've tried to outline what makes it better to host at A-O, and i hope i'm not overstepping my mark. I just want this to be a quality resource for everyone.

There is a bug with coppermine that i cannot rectify on the spot. Flash movies are autoresized. Upon upload, the width and height need to be set. This can also be changed after upload.

I am working to fix this, and if neccessary i will change gallery script

Wow! Amazing Job Althorne! Thank you very much! I no longer have to use photobucket(tag/small edits), deviantart (large edits) and swfup (flash) for all my work! You jusst need to add a DF/AQ/MQ edit seaction and it will be perfect! Thanks once again on an amazing job!

DF Edits count as large images :) They are classed as photo manipulation

But be warned - as i said earlier. Through a bug in the gallery script, you need to manually input the dimensions of .swfs

Would it be able to hold a spritesheet around 500x3000 (maybe more?)

Was - the biggest image it can hold is 10000x10000 and 20mb. I guess a spritesheet should fit. As long as it's under 20mb

Wow! 10000x10000! Geez thats a lot! Thats awesome, now I can use it for my 3000x3000 edit comics! (as long as they are lower than 20mb) This is the best image uploading site EVER!

Thanks, and seeing as it's an ae forum uploading site only, the upload limit should stay that way

A-O GoCA, DAaS, HDA is an official part of the "Althorne has too much webspace, what is he to do with it" campaign

The estimated number of files CAPABLE of being hosted is 40,000 btw

i think video hosting is covered... but thinking about it, 20mb is a very small video. That's the hosting's cap too. - Videos aren't supported by the program

but with .swfs and perhaps large images, i have the feeling that they would be better as reg only. flash so that people can edit flash dimesions... and large images to stop it being wh0red... but i'm more concerned about flash

xD If I didn't have 25 pages of crap on my photobucket, I'd switch to this in a heartbeat. Unless I can do mass uploads, in which case, I'll do it.

Thanks either way, althorne. This is a great idea and a great help to everyone!

hmm.... actually, I'll use this place to upload my tags anyway. That way they're easier to access.

hmmm, i don't think that would work tbph.. i'll look into .zips though - No, .zips wouldn't work. Neither would .xlc's or whatever. Still, there are other hosts out there for that such as sendspace
