Well, seeing the lack of new posts I'm assuming you're all done interrorgating me I'm going to lock this. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself...)

But, to make sure I don't exclude anybody that has any burning questions left, I'll be waiting until Sunday evening, right before I go to sleep. So you guys have till then to ask whatever else you want to ask.

As long as one stretches the meaning of rational everything can be understood through rational means.

In reference to you answer to the previous question, why?
Because the term rational is very flexible. If a man caught someone eating his food a few thousands of years ago this man, provided he thinks rationally, would've killed that man. Today though the same man in the same situation would probably just ask the man not to do so. Both solutions are viewed up as rational by those men and their respective surroundings.

Wouldn't Frankenstein's monster still be called Frankenstein, considering that he is, in a sense, the offspring of Frankenstein, and thus would inherit the name?
Frankenstein's monster is no more the offspring of Frankenstein as you are the offspring of nature. It would be much more logical to name the monster after the dead people Frankenstein used to make him monster. After all, you too are named after your parents (the people that donated the 'parts' you are created from) and not after nature (the force that brought these parts together.)

Yes.

What is the origin of the word "crap?"
Somewhere in time, some person saw a pile of crap and decided to call it 'crap'. A lot of people agreed this would be a good word for that pile of crap and thus used it too.
