I found, indeed, that I dont have a clue about said decrypter

and that im 66% sure that the words on second puzzle are scrambled

good night to you sirs and misses.

Mhm. The first 25 people to answer all the puzzles and put in their WF ID will win. He didn't say anything about the pet but... he probably meant by "win" he meant "get the super rare pet"

second question - do you think you can solve the mysteries before tomorrow 3pm server time
because the you can make character and get the ID you need.
Edit:
and even if you can you just post the id when you have created the character

The word is in from Falerin.

<Falerin> The first letter of my name is enciphered as an R

I'm not sure how to take that. It could be a F for Falerin, a W for William or an M for 'My name'.

*sighs*

SPOILER-ISH highlight to read.

spoiler:

if we try with "f" wont work cos there is a 1 letter word that is encoded f so r cant work as 1 word on its own.

if we trie with "w" it wont work either unless u can find a 2 letter word starting or ending with r so it must be "m" (w=R wt=Rt)

BUT: if we use "m" we will have a similar outcome as "w" so i dont know. (m=R mh=Rh)

BTW: capital letters are decoded letters from me.

quote:

Alright, here's our issue with the monoalphabetic substitution:

gmkk wig mk kfq.
yzl, b pzeif zpf wtz omh.
yzjf wte ibimbh xa wvf wt.
zzpk uiw pnxf opbq f wtamlzo mh.
zzh uwa eiz mpre hw rw pzq az azp.

If we isolate all the two-letter words, we have these:

mk xa wt mh hw rw az

We also have the single-letter words "b" and "f". Which we assume will correspond in some manner to A and I, or possibly O. Notice the big problem, though?

There's no "b" or "f" in ANY of the two-letter words. That severely limits our options since we'd have to come up with a set of words without two of the 5 vowels available to us. Notice also the pattern of some of the two-letter words:

hw rw wt mh

If we operate under the assumption that the message is not scrambled, we have to find two-letter words that match the placement of the "w" and "h." There are only a few sets of words that can do this:

so do of as
to so of at
no so of an
so to of is
to so of it
no do of in

There are a few more variations, but notice that all the sets utilize at least two of the 3 vowels we would possibly need for the single-letter words. This isn't going to work.

The words "Zzpk" and "Zzh" have suggested to some that the message might be backwards. In which case we'd have to match this pattern:

wh wr tw hm

So far I can't get anything to match that pattern.

Another possibility is that instead of being forward or backward, the words are in fact scrambled. Which would be near impossible to solve! How would we know if we got the words right?

Yet another possibility is that each line of the code uses its own substitution pattern. But then it wouldn't be a monoalphabetic cipher anymore, would it

I don't think they would give us a scrambled puzzle, even Falerin and Eldron aren't that evil.
... Or are they ...

Wait, is this for the

'gmkk wig mk kfq.
yzl, b pzeif zpf wtz omh.
yzjf wte ibimbh xa wvf wt.
zzpk uiw pnxf opbq f wtamlzo mh.
zzh uwa eiz mpre hw rw pzq az azp. '

puzzle?

Anyways, I think I have the hand puzzle figured out.

The image itself is the puzzle.

It can be decrypted here:

http://mozaiq.org/decrypt/
quote:

The ultimate decrypter you will need is named after a patchwork of tiles or pictures but rather then a sibilant sound at the end it employs MI-7's weapons expert to emulate.

A patchwork of tiles or pictures is a mosaic. an alternate sound at the end (q instead of c) is used in the website's domain name. It fits perfectly.

Unfortunately I am having a hard time using the program.

So one of you can try it.

Note that this is a type of 'steganography' or whatever that falerin alluded too in this quote:

quote:

[In Character]
Oh I had thought myself clever. That the WarpForce and the network could not trace my activity. Well I was wrong. They knew what I was up to all along. Naturally they cannot threaten me but the entire chain of information has been completely compromised and there is no saying for how long this has been going on. I have been I fear subject to at least some level of misinformation's far more wicked cousin. Black Propaganda abounds. For that reason i shall use said cousin as the Final key. I will continue sending what I uncover. These things however are but clues to what the greater see has to offer. The final puzzle shall employ security not via cryptography but via obscurity, like that spiny terran saurian. The vegetarian one.
[/In Character]

I believe that may be the intended message, due to the 'AHHAAH!' I got from Falerin when I posted it in IRC.
