Increasing Activity in Role Playing?

Okay, I'm personally not a big role-player, nor have I ever posted in the AE Forums role-playing boards. The main reason why I haven't posted is because of the lack of activity there.

I think perhaps there needs to be a boost in activity in the Role-Playing Forums, or maybe it should be given more attention. To boost the activity, we could;

1. Actually bring the board higher up the forum, or raise awareness it is actually there. :P
2. Merging the Advanced RP and RP boards. I really don't think at the moment there is a need for an "Advanced Section" which only has a couple of threads.
3. Introducing an RP title (I don't believe there is one?...)
4. It currently seems like RP's almost have to be AQ based. Perhaps fix this somehow?
5. Link it in some way perhaps with the L&L forum, which is equally experiencing unactivity. Generally, if your work is good in L&L, you've more than likely semi-decent at Rping.

Also there are a couple of things that might need to be addressed, like cleaning up the stickied threads (of which there are a lot.)

So yeah, er, that's just a few ideas I have. I know there is also a suggestions and improvements thread for the RP forums located here, but I don't think the suggestions I'm making really fit the other stuff there, and er, I can't actually post on that thread. :)

Well, it might work, but everything seems in good order currently. I believe we can get more members by moving it up as well, but where to? ABOVE the OoC?

Advanced RP and RP Boards distinguish the Advanced RPers from the normal RPers. It lets them R iwht MUCH higher experienced players.

Their is Advanced RPer, and Junior RPer, but I am a Role Player and do not have a title, though I'd really like one :p.

The rules state since this is BattleOn! Forums then we must abide in the world of Lore. Besides, people know much about Lore already, makes it easier to RP IMO.

Hmmm.... Maybe. But they are different, very different. Not sure on this topic question.

Bringing it higher up doesn't mean it'll get more attention, just that people would see it... Seeing it and giving it attention is not the same... However, raising attention about it would work, but i don't see how they would be able to do that properly without some "WE HAVE AN RP BOARD" thread...

I don't think that would happen... That would make the ARP'ers nothing more than RP'ers with Advanced before it... They might have a title, but the title would'nt mean nearly as much...

I've actually suggested that myself, but at that time it was'nt well met... There is, however, a discussion about RP only avatars and that might give more attention to the RP boards...

I don't suppose you've seen much of the RP's there... The RP has to be slightly AQ based, but this in no way limits it... The only thing is that it can't be based off of something NOT AE based, such as Halo or something similar...

I don't think that would be a good idea... Merging two inactice things would'nt make them more active, they would stay the same... And there is a reason why they are seperate...

All in all, i agree with the "brng more attention to it", but it's harder than it seems...

@GoC: JRP'ers doesn't have a title either, they are simply less experienced RP'ers... They have a "member" title like the rest of us...
