Falerin
Legendary Loremaster

As mentioned in earlier design notes the great team I work with has an ever evolving set of duties. By team in this instance I mean everyone, from the ArchKnights who manage these forums to the other Game Designers who I work with on a daily basis. Ours is not a Trivial Workload, and Murphy's Law is constantly at play (previous design notes make that clear too, the number of times work has vanished after 13 hours is far more then I want to remember).

As previously noted (again with those old design notes) it has always been the case that the design time for story content can be prolonged by numerous factors. Here however I am now finding myself in a somewhat odd situation. Namely, that I am developing and producing content I am very excited for, and not just the authoring anymore but in very many aspects, and our calendar simply does not have space.

Now do not get me wrong. From our perspective this a pretty good place to be, because it means we have a goodly amount of material available and this can hopefully cut crunch down somewhat. But as a developer, animator, and story writer it is also maddening as I am eager to get the material out to you, after all I do not do this job to get practice with flash (though such is a good side benefit), I do it to produce material for the users.

That said. Things are getting into place on the calendar. Events are proceeding apace and some of what I am working on is exciting indeed.

As always I will be closely following feedback on this thread and in all release and design notes threads to gather your thoughts and opinions. I think that our changing release style and our frequent communication on these threads proves we take suggestions very seriously and follow them when we can. So please share your thoughts.

Now...

Naturally I cannot say much but I will allow this:

Hall of Memories content.(HoM)
HoM
More multiple outcome conflicts.
A rather unique multiple battles war mechanic.
HoM
HoM
Some very epic "future" story cycles, sagas, arcs, and superarcs.
HoM
Additional use of War Timers.
Did I mention HoM?

Now... I cannot give much away at this point in regards to spoilerific content... but I will offer this snippit.

spoiler:

As many know from early hints and snippits. Upcoming HoM content will involve at somepoint a conflict between the Mysterious Stranger and the Loremaster.

Well here is your spoiler. Spaced because of its extra specialness....

One of them will not live through the encounter.

Oh my... Did Falerin just put that spoiler into his post? That is very, very bad. Now everyone will be wondering what exactly happens-- wondering and waiting.

As an additional bit of info, we have some big plans for Dracopyres in the works for a little bit later this year. Dracopyres will play a fairly major role come this Autumn.
