Whichever head is selected when the pet is brought out will stay selected for the rest of the battle, but reset for the next battle (like the monster or the Eight Lords Staff).

Regardless of the selected head, there is a *= 1.1055 damage multiplier (half the usual "all elements" multiplier because you know which element you have for the rest of the battle and can adjust as soon as you pull the pet out BUT it could still be any of the elements).

Galanoth - Earth (does 90% damage normally, triggers to 110% Harm to Drakel and Dragonkin and 65*1.1% Void (same as 130*1.1% Harm) to Dragons - basically, Galanoth triggers to *1.1 on an assumed 130 resist against Dragons - using Void)
Safiria - Darkness, deals 2/3 damage and heals you by 1/2 the damage dealt
Drakkonan - Fire
Rhubarb - Water
Warlic - Seeks element, deals 80% damage
Aquella - Seeks between Energy and Water, deals 90% damage

There is a 5% chance of choosing the "right" head.

The "right" head is:

For a Dragon:
Always Galanoth

For a Drakel or Dragonkin:
It compares:
Resistances other than Earth (appropriate head)
EarthResist*0.8 (Warlic)
HarmResist*1.1 (Galanoth)
Whichever of these is the worst resistance leads to the head in () being selected.

For anything other than Dragon or Drakel:
Resistances other than Earth (appropriate head)
EarthResist*0.9 (Galanoth)
Whichever of these is the worst resistance leads to the head in () being selected.

If it's not sure who to choose, it will select Twig. It should never not be sure who to choose.

Aquella is never considered to be the "right" head.

In cases where multiple of the above options are equal, the order of "appropriate" heads is Galanoth, Warlic, Twig, Rhubarb, Valencia, Safiria, Robina, Aria, Drakonnan
