This has gone completely off topic...
But - rarity points should be based on rarity - nothing else. The Varium makes it stronger in-battle. How does that increase its rarity?
And the argument "I paid money for it so it should give more rarity points" is meaningless - its not called ego points, its called rarity points - how rare is the item? (i.e. limited,seasonal,ultra....etc.)

Well its the non-var players fault that they do not buy varium. Vars spend hundreds of dollars so why must those who do not spend money have high chances of winning??? And ed wont risk losing var players for the f2p ones to be happy?

f2p zookas aren't AS good, they are pretty good and reflect the new attention paid to keeping the gap at a manageable level.

The new f2p weapons sidearms are pretty good as long as your not doing a tank build, however there was only lvl 33 aux which is kinda dissapointing.

 The gap is too big in my opinion. I see 50+ support just from enhancments.

OffTopic: They should do enhancement like this.

A 25 weapon gives 24d 3sup, and 5 tech. Enhance for 5000 cred it is a lv26weapon 25d 4sup 6 tech and the weapon name should be namelv26

5 bonus techmages fail so hard without varium. Strength is good unless you don't use your primary/gun 3 times a match.

 ^Knock knock, I'm Varium, and honestly, 5 focus isn;t bad w/ an assault bot.

I also DO use primary 3 times a match. Malf, Assim, gun?

^ I agree, but all the str requirements are making it really difficult for me to make a nightwraith and bigtuna build.

The new weapons didn't increase the total # of stats a f2p can get in theroy, but in practice they are very good such as the SMG 7 which is better than most varium pistols for str builds.

Str requirements are the stats that shouldn't be a requirement, more likely dex or tech should be for nonvarium to give more viable builds.

 i dont actully mind STR Reqs becuase my staff requires 37 STR so ive had a good amount of STR since early Beta

Anyway the new gear was a step in the right direction Backpack Zooka or Carrier Zooka are both great Phy Auxs and i havent looked at teh energy ones becuase i have a staff and an energy gun.

Headhunter SMG is also a really choice weapon with great Modifers and a nice bit of Damage

Backpack zooka and Graphite are pretty outdated know unless you're lvl 27. Hunter cannon is currently the best f2p aux in the game, unless you have 110k credits to fully enhance carrierzooka. Hive launcher
gives an extra 2 damage over graphite.

I agree with you Od, but hive launcher 37's str requirement is simple pathetic for a nonvarium, it should be lowered.

 Cyber thats the same Req as Caden's Wrath

Also i am working on enhancing Carrier Zooka right now im at 3 and its a great weapon

Cadens wrath only really works for those special robot users: because you can effectively replace your attack with an OP bot energy attack.
If you need CW as your primary, the STR requirement kills it - and this has always been the problem with the weapon.
I have to say as a f2p mage since beta, if CW just had some normal requirements, it could have been our answer to mjolnir. Although casting became UP....

 GK i wouldnt say that i have a 60%+ caster build with Caden's Wrath right now so it is a still an effective weapon also my build doesnt use DA which people say every mage build needs to work so never assume something you can always be proven wrong

Cadens str requirement isn't as bad since 80% of people who use it are malf + Plasma bolt people, and PB has a str requirement
@Cyberio
If you don't like hive launchers str requirement you can always use the overlord E shotgun which has one more dmg , lower requirements and better stat placement for support builds then graphite gun

@OWA: Deadly Aim is too strong to skip over for some more caster skill points IMO. Are you saying you don't need it or don't want it. I would understand not wanting it - I also naively chose TM @ the beginning because it was only natural to assume that we could continue casting effectively at high levels, but even with the slight buff to casting, it costs too much energy and requires a staff. malf + DA + reroute + high support is a deadly combination - it could be as strong as TLM if there were more sword moves.

 It actully isnt needed i have made effective builds on Merc Bh and TM that do not use a so called need passive skill now of course it is impossible to completely ignore Hybrid as it is tier 1 but still one in Hybrid is close enough to 0

IMO Caden's Wrath is worth replacing for something that gives less stats because of its measly 22 damage. If you count the damage from the malf itself, it is 10 less then frozen horror staff.
