It sounds like you're getting aggravated and I'm sorry for that because this was in no way meant to annoy or anger anyone. Also I'm aware of all of these facts and how hard it is to code something of this magnitude because I have attempted and failed and succeeded at it. It's no where as good as Epic Duel but I thought that maybe some constructive criticism and an application would help them out. Also I'm not really complaining but rather stating. Sorry once again if this aggravates anyone.

 It is really exciting to plan these releases as personal events, and we all enjoy them. Sadly, our desire for immediate joy, due to the anticipation, doesn't help the team put this release any sooner. Since there is no "true limited" rares, view this release in a passive manner.

It will eventually arrive, and you will not be late when it is here. Enjoy the game, and/or enjoy the time you have with your special people in your lives. This is something, as individuals, we don't have any control, so that being said, remain positive and find a reason to smile.

I agree JZaanu, the update will come soon enough. Just relax and enjoy the game. There will be lots of weapons this time and they will be around for a good long while so there is no hurry. Best idea yet is to get some rest now and prepare for a great weekend.

I'm sorry but the last two posts made it seem like you are saying that we are all children and just cannot wait for the update and that we're blaming every person and or thing that gets in the way. I know that it is just a game and as I said before I honestly don't care about WHEN it comes out just the fact that they could be more courteous with words when they specify a day for the release that is not really the day that it can realistically come out. Once again this is no way intended to insult or anger anyone and I'm entitled my opinion and as i said before I am a fan of this game and am not trying to insult anyone here.

ok read this and read this good i see what wiseman trying to do is to keep telling you dont be exited that much, and if you guys try to post that say '' devs are lazy , come on titan how hard to code, devs always lies '' dont even try to post it why because it will be less problem and make them work on update or what ever, well guest what, wieman is right that ed is a small team so thats why its hard to update every friday

 Terms like "Lazy", "Lies" and a person's efficiency in their craft are quite disrespectful and have no place in our world. These are words and phrases we don't like to be called, nor should be use these against anyone else.

Because we are behind a screen when we speak, it is much easier to express extremes of thought without regard to anyone's feelings. Do remember, these are people too. They have families and loved one's who care about them, and it is undermining their ability to give you their best in their craft when you hinder them in unjust manners of expression.

As much as I have praised this game, I have been equally critical on their decisions, but I have never retorted to name calling or express in a manner as if I was entitled to do so. For better or worse, I tried to give specific reason's why issues or direction this game follows are not correct, and leave it there.

Remember where to draw the line of being critical of issues and being downright cruel for the sake of personal satisfaction.

We are all people and we are all valued.

I think that as long as they release it on friday or near that week its ok, if they said they'd release it midweek and it doesnt come i dont care because they tried to do it and thats what matters imo.

@Jzaanu I'm honestly wondering where someone called them lazy I'm not being facetious but really would like to know where. Also if you're referring to my posts then I'm sorry but you are mistaken because I was not trying to insult or aggravate anyone with my words and was definitely not being "cruel."

Here's my question. Why did Cinderella get defensive on page 4 about Lamb's question?

Read what he stated then read her post. At no time did he blame her. Just like those stupid design notes that state the players are blaming her. NOONE is blaming this random person that has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than relay info. Why you folks believe otherwise beats me, that's for sure.

People are blaming NightWraith and Titan. Not the messenger. Also I'm sure Night designed everything Titan needed prior to leaving and that dragoncon will not affect this release in the least.

Oh how I tire of seeing design notes on the HOMEPAGE saying how peeps are blaming the messenger and all these apologies and crying when it's not even happening...This community is sad.

First of all, usage of word "probably will be soon" etc,and sadly in right context,shows how do ED players(at least many of them) think of coming update - could be,could not be.
Second,I think that history of ED updates should have taught all of us not to make barbecue while the rabbit is still in forest - many times all those statements "Great update","Awesome work"
and similar asskissing crap turned into unpleasant discovery afterwards that update isn't all milk and honey. Then again,what else to expect from a lot of spoiled brats that most ED players are ATM(with all due respect to exceptions)?
Praising devs for every little thing,such as new icons(rawr) etc, is the reason i personally feel kinda spoiled them and made them think they can pull any kind of "update" by us.

I still don't think about the upcoming update,but i know what i expect:
1. Fancy-schmancy new items that make old fansy-schmansy ones obsolete
2. Lack of balance,but i got used to it already so IDC anymore,their game,they can do as they please,even if it leads to only players playing it themselves.
3. New hairstyles which have so much impact on gameplay so its only reasonal for them to cost varium
4. Yet another new way to earn money - don't have a name for that one,but don't worry,they are imaginative

I may sound a bit negative,but I can think for myself enough to see that I used to play ED for fun. Now I play it out of boredom. And the sad part is I need to be really bored to do even that. Think about it.

Are all the Hairstyles for both genders, or do they have different ones for male and female heads?

Aww, I want the last row's first one for my Mage, but the head inside the helm seems female. :(

See? Was it that hard just to post & tell us what's going on...
Delaying releases doesn't help no one & keeping us in the dark about anything with ED's streak of delays a little info doesn't hurt.

Anyway, thanks.

EDIT: I seen someone get worked up cause I used the word "Lazy"
Read my post fully & see why. I said this so someone could actually post & prove me wrong.
^Which they did & I said "thanks"
When a release is delayed I shouldn't have to resort to saying the Dev's are lazy or so.
When a release is delayed, there should be a post on the forums or in the DN's telling us why.

I think it is inappropriate to blame the late update on Dragoncon - that clearly comes across as an excuse.

Nightwraith clearly posted that the update would be before Dragoncon so they wouldn't have to deal with what they are dealing with now.

Since they missed their (self-imposed) deadline, it became worse since everyone was leaving for Dragoncon.

Hint to the Devs: Stop giving false update information - why are they bringing all this negativity upon the game and themselves?

IMO I would prefer well thought out and robust updates every month... (including: weapons,missions, in-game-earn-able rares...etc.)

 I think how we're handling it is to set the numbers very high and refill it each day or if/when it runs out until the end of the con.

If you're wondering why "just a weapons update" is taking so long, it's not "just a weapons update"

A short list of the "invisible" parts of the update:

Clearing up junk tags
Streamlining the login scripts
Fixing the loading text on Guest Play
Client-side checks on Guest Play
Fixing issues causing dead sessions to remain uncleared
Fixing the exploit list- free class change exploit, double attack exploit, disconnect exploit, and invisibility exploit

Titan is also working on the payment page for Pony vs. Pony, and will transfer that code into EpicDuel.

Titan said to tell you guys about this, and we'll hopefully release tonight. I know Nightwraith promised Wednesday in a post on the forum.

Please keep in mind that usually Nightwraith is my source for whatever I need, and so I don't have the information I need since he's at DragonCon.

Also- when Night said not to blame me in the DNs, I had gotten a folder full of PMs saying that I, personally, was a lazy liar and purposefully withholding information about releases.
