Dearest Loreian,
I must apologise for what happened to you recently. I... I must admit that there are times when my magic is, well best put, not as cooperative as I would like. Though I had many years of intense training and learning, it seems that it can be a bit wild. Usually, when I am either engrossed in, or excited about, something I am reading or researching, my magic decides to go crazy. My reading of Lady Tomo's life was just so fascinating and you got dragged into the thick of chaos that, well, you got to experience it firsthand.
But, my friend, what you discovered opened up a plethora of historical questions that I must have answered! I can't sit blithely by and let these mysteries go uncovered. Besides, based on what Kastio has discovered and reported, there is something very crucial going on right now. The evidence he brought to me is overwhelming and you will need to know this area thoroughly.
Which brings me back to my purpose in writing to you, Adventurer. I need you to accompany me and my new friend Baldev. He is a unique guy who is part of Karuna's family. I will need you both to research and discover more about the west. I found these ruins... oddly buried ruins... a few clicks inside the Western Expanse. The hair on my arms stand on end when I think of the area. Kastio claims that he gets a sinking feeling when he is nearby.
Are you up for this? Do you have what it takes to go on this information excursion with me? I do hope so, Adventurer. I can't do this without you.

This quest follows directly after The Legend of Tomo. Even though she doesn't appear in this quest, what you discovered plays a part in the storyline. You will enter the Western Expanse for the first time in ... well, known history. We knew before that something was... off about that place. But, it was hush, hush. Now, we know that the area was obliterated by Lady Tomo's need to "fix" things. It was unintentional, as she would never have done such a horrific thing voluntarily. I would have tried to bury such a thing far into my memory and never ever think about it if it were me. Do not be dismayed, you will meet up with her again, I promise. She has much to tell and do for you and I.
The minigames are going to be relaxing, but relevant to the story. They are also a bit different, hopefully, than what you are used to. I was aiming to do something more than "talk, fight, talk, fight, talk, boss". Anyway, hopefully, everyone enjoys this.
Coming up with this storyline has been interesting. Looking at where I am coming from, who I can include and where I am going has been a strange yet satisfying evolution. I can't wait for the summer and am eagerly writing up those quests even now. SO much FUN!!!

I can't believe I forgot to put this in. The rewards for this adventure were the results of talking to players in #battleon.
