The Seal of Nocturu's Council


* This is the seal of the Nocturu High Council
* This seal signifies that a thread is Council approved
* This means a thread is official Nocturan business and therefore can continue.
* This can be over-ruled by AKs, Mods, and Staff as they have legitimate authority over the council.

For now, there is only one active clan head. Once activity rises and members become more active, new elections will begin if members of Nocturu deems it is necessary to have leaders.

We need to pump life back into the dark clan. Any suggestions are appreciated and will be reviewed by the council.

Rules of the Council

Noctros teaches us not to fix our eyes on the things we see. As creatures of the Dark, people condemn us to be blind. But Noctros reminds us that only with blindness do we truly see. We are able to see the truth, and understand the nature of things in the teachings of the Dark. It is of utmost importance that we realize that the Dark Conclave is not permanent and immutable. The Dark Conclave (elected council) is based on a series of prayers (votes and posts) carried out by The Dark Apostles (people on the forums) on a monthly basis. During our prayers, we seek those who are dedicated to the dark by heart, by soul, and by mind. Prayers are usually carried out in the Dark Chamber where the Apostles pray for guidance in re-appointing their new leaders. Strong leaders remain in position while weaker leaders fall back into the ranks and reattain their spiritual awareness.

There is always mutiny within the Castle, after all, we are dark at heart. Based on the vote of the Dark Conclave, Revenants have direct power from Noctros and are able to remove any Elder based on a meditation with The Dark (i.e. a vote). Noctros, however, claims that with the common mind of all apostles, Revenants may be stripped of their power and status if they are deemed unfit for leading the Clan.


The Nocturu Council


Revenant
The Revenant is responsible for planning wars, devising strategies and diverting troops to certain regions of battles. To help organize artworks, signatures, literature and many other non-war-related submissions of creativity and for designing and implementing reward systems (forum only) such as badges and tokens. Revenants give orders to be carried out by the scions and other helpful members. As we are in a time of peace, the Revenants have a more diplomatic role, and represent the clan in official matters across the Paxian boards. Currently there is one Revenant, but in future others may be called upon to act as 'Vice Revenant' and support the leader.

Scions

Scions have job divisions such as war, art, and information. Their main task is to complete or help out in assigned projects given by Revenants. Scions are there to help the members when called upon as well.


Scion of Data: Dread_Shadow_Max
The Scion of Data is in charge of dark information and gathering enemies' intelligence, along with keeping archives of Nocturan knowledge.

Scion of Art: Helixi
This Scion of Art is responsible for collating artwork and literature from each dark clan member, helping breathe undeath into each and every creative endeavour.

Scion of War: Vacant
The Scion of War is in charge of the forces of Nocturu, convenes with the Revenants over battle plans and presides over any Nocturan Councils of War. Currently, as the clan is not part of an official war, this position is vacant, although may still be filled by a candidate the council believes will best protect the clan when the time comes.

This thread is the Roll call, it shows each Nocturu member on the AE forums that has already signed up, all you have to do is post your forums username, and your character page, the caretaker of the thread will do the rest.

Q: What is the Nocturu High Council?
A: The Nocturu High Council is made up of the leading Revenant, then second in command are the Scions, each with a specific job. The entire Council as a whole leads Nocturu with their wisdom.

Q: Hey, the Nocturu High Council sounds kinda cool, can I join?
A: Elections are held every 3 months. However, as we have low activity at the moment, applications can be made for empty positions and posted in this this thread.

Q: Wow, there are a lot of threads, how can I keep up with all of this important information?

Q: So, about war, how can I help?
A: In Nocturu we have devised a system which we think will work very efficiently as well as providing each member with a small group of people who are online when they are. They are called Strike Teams, and it works on the basis that at all times there is always someone online. So while these people are online, they can work with each other in a co-ordinated effort to fighting in the event. Currently there is no war and therefore strike teams are disbanded, but they will be reformed in the event of a Paxian unrest.

You might want to remove the link leading to the Tracking System in the "Council approved" section, since it has been deleted a while ago. Also, the links to the Roll Call and the Newcomers threads in the "NFAQ" need to be updated.

Just a small suggestion, could you put a link to Helixi's and my profiles in our own entries? That way, people can easily access us if they have any questions.

Oh, and last question: Will you also create and manage the Roll Call/useful links/newcomers threads?

EDIT: And I've just noticed the link to the NPFs doesn't work, probably because they have been deleted by Invision Plus or something unknown happened to them.

Seeing a I'm probably one of the few remaining Nocturans remaining alive here, I plan to make changes into these boards. As some sort of second-in-charge for a while, I feel like a complete restructuring the whole Nocturan boards is the best way to breathe at least a minimal amount of life back to Nocturu.

To do so, I need to speak with our current leader. Despite what we accomplished in the past, I believe we need to burn our past and create things anew from their ashes, to inspire new followers to find a purpose to remain active around

What do I intend to burn? The very core of Nocturu itself: the whole Temple, the High Council, our pet Jasper, everything. I want to burn all of these things, so we can renew those old threads with ideas created by the new community.

I know it is an idea that might not be welcomed by the members of old, but things have been stagnant for long enough. It's time new Nocturans, who feel either the boards are boring enough, or are intimidated by the ancient ideas of our long-running ancestors, to step forward and make this place active once again.

I really hope this idea works and draws new victims members to Nocturu, and ultimately; Paxia.

Seeing it almost has been a week and I still have no feedback from our leader, and there is very few (but hell, better than nothing) positive comments on this, I'll carry on my plans and set the gears of change moving.

Expect Nocturu to change in the next few days/weeks.

Apologies for the lack of response, I have been away from the forums for a while to focus on real life.
However, while restructuring may improve the clan, we have a vivid history and to start altering or rewriting it dashes the contributions of our former members who put their souls into creating lore for the clan.

The problem of inactivity doesn't lie in our clan systems and traditions. If it did, every other clan would have an influx of members, no?
While I have no quarrels with the addition of creative endeavours and continuation/expansion of our rich heritage, please don't 'burn things to the ground' as Nocturu will not be stronger for it. By all means, revamp, come up with new ideas, change some things around.

My suggestion is that we lock old threads which no longer serve a purpose and maybe take a fresh look at them. I want to see what you all think, first, however.

Indeed, I said burning everything to make new things, but I also want to keep what the former members did. What I want to do is simply recreate everything anew so we can give the chance for newer members to contribute.

Let's be realistic here, the only place I know of what the older members created in now in the PPFs, since the NPFs somehow disappeared. It's sad 'cause I don't believe there so much people actively going there, looking and doing something there anymore.

I have to agree though that inactivity isn't mainly caused by our system and our lore. However, is there something people can do at seemingly complete old threads? Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure the Creperum and Drell's Kitchen sure could have new additions, but they have become so detailed it's hard to come up with something new and interesting. Eventually, there's no activity because no one comes up with new ideas.

Lastly, we can't lock old threads, 'cause there's no such things that needs being locked and revamped here. All I can see is trying to come up with a new High Council, perhaps some changes in the Roll Call, clean up the Useful Links, stuff like that.

Additions that could be done is bringing back the Level-Tracking System (hopefully this time it won't get auto-deleted), the Nocturan Radio and, like Dynami, bringing back the clan's pet. I don't know if we still have Jasper stored somewhere unknown to me, but I figure it would be best if we come up with a new pet.

I prefer waiting to see what we could do about the Creperum and Drell's Kitchen before bringing back such important threads here.

Well that certainly seems like a start. Sorry for misunderstanding you, I assumed you wanted to recreate the clan lore from the ground up and as a member of Nocturu from the very beginning I found that slightly disturbing.

What you're suggesting is fine, heck, it's better than fine, it's awesome. We DO need a way for members to contribute again, however, we are once again stuck in this infinite loop of there being very few active members to contribute in the first place. By all means, create some new threads and sooner or later we can work on revamping the castle and roll call (things like this used to be a lot easier when I just had a big list of active clan artisans to pick from xD)

You've got my go ahead and if you require my council on how to go about anything, do not hesitate to PM either myself or Helixi (we're a couple, so you can get either of us more expediently by PMing both of us)

Can't wait to see what ideas we can all bring to the table.

Cool! I'll be working for the next days on new threads I already came up with. I appreciate your input on this matter.

If there's any idea you would like to suggest about what kind of threads we could do, or if you want to comment on whatever idea is being thrown, please post them here.

And by all means people, don't assume I'm the only one who can make up threads. If you got an idea, go ahead and post your thread!

Hello, my children of the night. It has been a long time since my presence has been felt here in Paxia. I decided to swing by the AQGD forums to see what splendifirous update the AQ Devs had for us and I came across this. =AQ= Dev, Story, Art = A letter of import. It is a slap in the face by Vox to each and every one of the Paxia Leaders, and more specifically, to each and every one of us. I was around back when there were only 3 elemental clans. Once the formation of the 8, I was one of the first to move here. The darkness has been my home since and has fed many of my actions. I had grown from a simple soldier to one of your own council members before retiring and going off exploring on my own... but I always kept my roots in mind. Vox is not calling us out. Vox has dared insult our honor and even called us spineless cowards. Vox says that we are weak and have nothing to fight for and that if he were to come to our door step, that we would simply lay down and let him walk all over us because we have nothing to fight for.

I say we rally our forces. I say we show Vox what true Paxians are about. I say we show Vox that Clan Nocturu does not sit idly by and allow anyone to come into our home, into our territory and make us into slaves. We are the power that is everywhere. You cannot run from the shadows and the darkness. We are always there, and we are always strong. We need to rally our forces and show Vox we are not afraid and we are a force to be reconed with.

I want to participate in a more active way here, I've already left a post on the roll call thread to officially join the Nocturu clan

I think the clan could use a renovation like Riffus Maximus said, perhaps the war that will break soon would give us all an idea of what to do

EDIT: ATTENTION NOCTURU HIGH COUNCIL!

The member of Aerodu @Ultrapowerpie have started a Paxian revival movement and we need all the forumites with real power among the clans to respond. I've already pmed high revenant .Discipline but we would want every important member that remains active on the forums to comment on Ultrapowerpie's thread

It is great to see things are beginning to pick up while my absence.

Alas, I must submit my departure to the High Council and resign my title of Scion of Data. I've been leading a rather busy life as of late, I haven't looked at Paxia for ages and I announced somewhere already twice that I was moving on from this forum. I believe I announced this in one of the PUC threads and in the RP area.

I do hope that the future of Nocturu will be well secured in the hands of the new generation. I had a lot of fun in the days of old, but now I must move onto something else and vacant my position as Scion with the hope that someone will take my place and do a great job in my stead.

This is it. I bid you adieu and wish you well for the future of Paxia and our awesome clan that is Nocturu.


P.S.: I give approval to 0Neo is representing Nocturu and hopefully lead it to a better future in case Discipline and/or Helixi aren't responsive. Good luck, newcomer. Make us proud, and may the ancient Shadows smile upon you.

@Riffus Maximus even if I just got into the clan's thread I've being in Nocturu my whole game life. I bid you farewell, ex-scion of data. I didn't get to know you but I think we can connect through our love for the darkness and our clan. I thank you for approving my presence here

may the shade of Nocturu's future be something the shadows of the past can be proud of

Hmm... I figured with the coming wars and all, I can't remain neutral forever, so in the event that things get bad, I may just join this place... What sold it was the banner on the front page :P

Well, not the words so much as the picture. Friggin' Photoshop masters up in this clan apparently (^_^)

*Sigh* but like I said, I'll help when it's needed, but remember I'm not for noctoru, I'm just not against it by any means.

Undersoul my comrade in arms, welcome back to Castillo Vida Negra.

I know....many left us or simply disappeared, leaving the clan pretty much empty. I saw this and took action at once. At first I was representing the clan alone but as you can see more have heed the call of the darkness.

It really escalated quickly.....I started as someone willing to support Paxia with the current war and I ended up as one of the first supporters of the revival. If you see the current cut-scene of the war to come, you can see our new clan armor (not in-game for now) wore by an NPC with my name on it (all thanks to Eukara)
