Call for Founder's Armor, Alpha Gear & Beta Weapons To Be Buffed

Founder's Armor. Alpha gear. Beta weapons. These are some of the oldest, rarest items in-game. Yet what has happened to these originally prestigious, respected weapons?

They've become outdated, obsolete, jousted out by the newer gear (delta armor > founder armor, etc), and otherwise pretty much useless to the current players who have the newer gear.

Whilst other old (meaning from alpha or beta) weapons have been buffed to suit the current damage-ranges - for example, the Zeuszooka, originally 30 damage, is now 35 - the Founder's Armor and Beta Weapons have remained pretty much unchanged, and have not been buffed to suit the damage-ranges of Delta EpicDuel.

The Facts:
Beta Bazooka does 34 damage, whilst current high-level auxiliary weapons do 37-39 damage.
Beta Blaster and Alpha Blaster do 30 damage, whilst current high-level sidearms do 33-35 damage.
All 3 forms of the Beta Brutalizer do 28 damage, and the Beta Cleaver does 29, whilst current high-level primary weapons do 35-36 damage. The same goes for the Alpha primaries, which do an even lower 27 damage.
Founder's Armor has +7 resistance, the same amount of resistance/defense offered by select non-varium armors. In addition to this, current varium armors give a total of 9-10 def/res.


Do these items deserve to be weak, unused, and forgotten by the community? These very items that serve as tokens of appreciation from the makers of EpicDuel to the players who supported EpicDuel during the beginnings of the game?

Speaking on behalf of all the owners of the Founder's Armor and Beta Weapons: We call for these items to be buffed and brought up to date. They do not deserve to be the weak, outdated gear they are now. Devs: We beg for you to buff these items and let them return to their former glory. Are you content to let your tokens of appreciation toward the earliest few who supported the game fade into the dark?

You forget:

The beta weapons and founder armor are LV25. They are already overpowered at their level range.

 As above. They are already too strong for their Level due to various boosts and they are LEVEL 25 ITEMS. Also no buffs will be granted any more, overhaul wasn't one when items were buffed since it affected all items but they won't get a buff. Ever.

I am aware of this. This problem can be easily solved by using the minus base damage that many weapons have currently.

Ex: Beta Primary does 36 damage at level 35, and for each level difference between the player's current level and 35, one damage is subtracted. So if you're level 30, your Beta primary would do 36 minus 5 damage - 31 base damage.

 Policy says that there will be no buffs or upgrades, since players would want more versions of pretty much ALL items. They are Level 25 weapons NOT 35 or whatever.

 totally agree. Founder armour should get +20 defence and resistance and + 20 to all stats same goes for the gun aux and primary. Why should we founders ever buy varium ever again. We are the reason the game was a success. We founders are the most skilled hardcore players ever and no one using the latest gear should be able to pwn our 3 year old items its just not fair. Buff all our beta gear to level 36. We deserve to be treated with a special cookie.

Trans:

These aren't just any weapons. These are the Alpha / Beta Weapons, and the Founder's Armor. The only items in game with the status of Ultra-Rare.


But I must ask: If there will be no buffs or upgrades, then players must keep buying more and more weapons to keep up with the new level caps, damage levels, whatever. There will be no weapon that can always be used; every weapon will only be temporary until better gear comes out. Is this the system EpicDuel uses to suck our money away?

 Cool, and so what if they are Ultra Rare? Means nothing to me despite owning them. They are Level 25 items not Level 35, there is TEN Levels difference so why should we get power ups for spending even $35 on a game and get upgrades forever and make company lose? Items are gift of appreciation not something to beg for more and more..

Fact: Alpha and Beta weapons got a buff already in damage.
Fact: Alpha and Beta weapons got a buff from 0 enhancements to 10 enhancements
Fact: Alpha and Beta weapons have no requirements
Fact: players with these weapons can have high health high energy and abuse whatever stat they want.
Fact: with these weapons they can have high total stats than a Level 35 can with the new weapons.

If I forgot any facts go ahead and list them.

Do you have an idea of the purpose of those weapons? It is OP for their lvl to encourage people to buy them. Now that we are at level 35, they shall serve as a memento. The game can't progress by buffing old weapons. Imagine how many varium payers would quit if they saw an old weapon buffed? (because ofc they can't get it)

Your facts are all true. Yet they don't make the old weapons any better than the newer ones. There's a reason why old players with the beta/alpha gear use the newer weapons instead of those - Despite their numerous enhancement slots, their low base damages make them weaker than newer weapons.

Also, your facts don't include any regarding the Founder's Armor, so I'm taking it that you find them UP as well.

What you think of the status 'Ultra Rare' is your own opinion. Personally, I would not let this status go lightly.

About your second point: We weren't just spending money on the game at any time. We spent money on the game at its very beginning. Provided it with the income to keep developing.

About your third point: You are exactly right. Gifts of appreciation are what they are. And how exactly do they show 'appreciation' by being outdated and weak?

We aren't calling for an insanely OP weapon. We merely stated that we wish for them to be buffed. To suit the current level and damage caps in EpicDuel. Not for them to be OP, or 'insanely' OP. That's for the Devs to decide.
