History of Dynami The Possibly Correct History of Dynami. Note: This history depiction is written from the point of view of a clan member from the very early days of Dynami, taking part in political and ingame activity regarding their clan, or Paxia in general. For any additions, suggestions or corrections, please PM Zyrain. The Clan is introduced. After the unfortunate incident between Jacques and the Original Three around 2007, Dynami was among the five new clans introduced. As currently stands, Dynami and it's inhabitants are the only clan with their ingame introduced core members being an actual species rather than a single NPC character. The Clan power structure is formed. Like a proper clan, Dynami was quick to get their act together and worked out a system to run their clan by. Surprisingly, Darkshine was able to drive forth and enact Direct Democrazy. The Democrazed Queendom of Dynami is formed. Explanation of the functions of Direct Democrazy (as they are today after a revision or two) are within the FAQ, under Dynamian Rules. Or as was once said: "Democrazy > Democracy because when you are in Democrazy, you get the usual Democracy things, plus what really matters. Punch, pie, and hula-girls." Rather than lose and live, we'd rather win and die! / Our pride is greater than anything in this world! As the first major event in Paxia involving Dynami rolls out, Dynami soon finds out that their clan had perhaps the smallest number of members. Their fiercest rival in the coveted "Smallest Clan" category was Nautica, which both were probably eager to get out of. Technical difficulties plague Paxia during this time, with people getting their characters in wrong clans or kicked out of clans entirely, causing much clicking to get back where they belong. The system begins to crumble. Around the end of August in 2007, talks began to replace the Direct Democrazy system with a Council-based system which was used in most of the other clans (if not all). The Clan Head at the time, Ramirez, was forced to open the issue for debate as members of the clan were pushing for the change. However in the end, the voting on the issue resulted in Direct Democrazy prevailing, once again keeping Dynami different. Disaster strikes Paxia / This is why we can't have any nice things. In the early days of September 2007 (2nd day actually) a startling message hit Dynami, "we have 0 Z-Tokens, 0 members and 0 HP, go to our base in the game now!" After learning a lesson in not letting idiots handle the generator, while that particular incident was the work of a bug, another incident soon appears in an extremely unfortunate manner, as it brought an undesired change to Paxia policy on the AE forums. On September 5th, a large number of threads in Paxia clan subforums were locked, pet threads, discussion threads among clan members, one after another they were locked down. Ironically, the lack of activity in Dynami Pet thread kept it safe, for a time. With forum posting rules changing and dictating that threads in clan subforums need to relate to the actual game, much of the discussion between clanmembers in Dynami departs to the offsite private forum, leaving the official subforum barren and basically void of content, suffering the same fate as the other clan subforums. Ramirez steps down from Clan Head position. In October of 2007, lack of time forces Ramirez to resign and a new Clan Head is needed, starting a poll on the matter where those deeming themselves the most loyal and suitable (read: available) sign up. Fishtank attempts to gain control of both Geoto and Lucian, but fails in both, maybe. The whole incident is sort of hazy and no one really cares about it. The voting starting on November 2nd, as Dynami likes to take it easy, and a short while later a new Clan Head is elected. It truly is the end of days for Dynami. After but a few months of service, the Clan Head states near the end of January 2008 that they are stepping down. Anarchy is considered, but the arrival of King Cy the Glorious (or just King Cy) brings everyone back into the track, and once again the option of switching to a Council-based system is brought up, along the "single clan head" option. Soon after, policy changes are brought up to debate, sparking much of it, by Dynami standards of course. As result, months pass without anything happening at all, which by now has become the norm for Paxia. Things finally pick up / "Where's the fun in this?" "Same place where it went a long time ago." Around March of 2008, Clan Head election finally starts to pick up in speed again, with King Cy the biggest bringer of change for the clan as he wishes for a change in the Direct Democrazy policies at the time, as well bringing forth the biggest change of all: Anyone holding office to keep the clan from falling into total destruction is also entitled to 1 dancer, 1 sarcastic butler and unlimited punch. By March 19th, King Cy succeeds in bringing change to Dynami and the campaign for Clan Heads begins at long last! A new Clan Head is elected, long live the Clan Head! / How did that happen again? In April 8th of 2008, as result of the vote ending up a tie (5 votes for both), Day Malrone becomes the Clan Head as King Cy steps down from the race, not wanting to create a rift within the clan. With their Janeway avatar, they render all under their watchful gaze. All hail the Indignation! Anarchy once again rears it's ugly head / I fail to see how it would help / YOU'VE GOT A VOICE ON THE INSIDE TOO! With not much of importance occurring in Paxia, September arrives and the lack of activity from Day Malrone brings up the question of "maybe Dynami should just embrace eternity anarchy." Day Malrone is quick to return and shoot down the idea for being just stupid, which it was. The Chosen One arrives / "In-dig-na-tion, strong displeasure at something considered unjust, offensive, insulting, or base; righteous anger." "Add "Tuss" to that." December 5th of 2008 arrives with a surprise, with Day Malrone disappearing, out of nowhere comes Tuss to assume the role of the Indignation. He is greeted warmly, and a new (read: hilarious) era for Dynami begins from that day forth. The fact that no one else wanted the job was totally not the only reason he received such a warm greeting. No one is taller than the last man standing / Keep doing what we are doing and bask in our superiority. February 9th, 2009. Paxia Defense Forces are in full speed, and so are the Dynami. Somehow they've been able to rise into the #2 clan when it comes to their Defense Score, second only to Aerodu. Strategy is discussed, possible scenarios are brought up, luckily most of Defense Score strategy talk the other clans do are in threads over at AE forums that anyone can read, so Dynami manages to keep tabs on everyone in quite poor disguise (read:none). By February 17th, in what no one in Dynami was surprised about, Aerodu declared sort-of war, keen on bringing down Dynami's Defense Score to keep the two clans much more apart. Unluckily for them, Dynami had already proposed a joint operation between them and a few other clans (or it may have been one other clan, details are hazy), and in one quick swoop, Aerodu found that in one furious attack, they went from first to second last in Defense Scores. Truly co-operation between Paxia clans is a beautiful thing. While clans at this time were talking alliances between one another, Dynami still stayed neutral, save for that one joint mission that brought them closer to their partner clans, who will not be mentioned to protect those that are not the Real Evil Behind All Bad Things In Paxia (read: Dynami). The unthinkable occurs. By March 9th of 2009, Dynami rises to #1 in Defense Score. Much celebration is had, then suspicion because now it's their time to be targeted, kicked in the gut, stabbed in the back and have their wings torn off in one furious attack. Talks of the fabled Reset start circulating (especially around the cucumbers), activity in Defense Scores take a hit as result, and from what we can tell, it never quite recovered. The Conspiracy. May 26, 2009. Paxia was shook (or at least startled) by the appearance of a forum member (who's name and details are now lost as the specific thread where they appeared is long gone by now), claiming to be from a group that was responsible for the "negative 100k" score of Aerodu at the time, and to prove their legitimacy, they were to give Dynami a boost in score in the following days of their announcement. While details of the events from then on are hazy (due to no one in Dynami caring enough to archive the original message or what happened afterwards, even after the announcement caused people from the other clans claiming/blaming that the group was Dynami-affiliated or even spawned), it can be assumed that they succeeded in their goal. Afterwards it was stated that they were to give the same boost to Lucian. How that went, not even the writer remembers, and clues are quite few. Whether this group still exists, or is biding their time (just like everyone waiting for the Reset, am I right or what?) is unknown. Hey look, it's another event that's bound to go nowhere at all! June 11th, 2009. The announcement for "power cores" and "power components" is posted, and clans scramble into action, all three of them at this point(okay fine, more showed up in the end). If records are to believe, "Jabber's Spit" won. I was bored so I propose a change to the bylaws / You could say that these are all just a very nice looking written technicalities. July 21th of 2009 arrives, and so does the notice that the bylaws currently being used are outdated. A quick fix is proposed, because there is no mention of THE GLORIOUS LEADER, THE INDIGNATION. Paxia was so dead, that even this minor incident is worth to bring up in the History book. A tradition begins. With activity in Paxia rapidly dropping after nothing comes out of the previous announcement, Dynami springs forth from ambush with a challenge to all of Paxia. The Big Bad Evil Clan contest is declared officially to begin, the task of people of Paxia is to show just why and how their clan is the biggest and most evil of them all, because as we all know, all of Paxia is Lawful Evil. By September 9th 2009, the contest ends, but not in the most promising of ways, best said as such: "Two people entered the contest. With edits of already existing art. That were amusing enough to allow. No one wrote anything. No one even made STICK FIGURE ART to get in." Little did Dynami know that this low rate of participation would follow all events they would attempt to hold in the future. In case you wonder, here's the winning entry. Dynami would try again in April 25th, 2010, linking people to a website that groups people to teams of 4 and pits them against a series of minigames "that test co-operative skills, individual abilities and so on.", the purpose of the event to let clans compete against eachother and show off their ability to work as a team. By May 15th, the event is over. Turns out however, that only Dynami was able to make a team out of all the clans that showed definite interest to the event, the other ones being Lucian and Geoto. It tells of the sad state of Paxia at this time that clans either showed no interest doing anything as a team, as well as those interested being unable to make a team of four people. C'est la vie, and so on. Dynami, Champion by Default! One more time, I'm going to try and change Dynami. In June 15th of 2010, the issue of bringing forth a Council-based system for Dynami was brought up again, this time by Zyrain, stating that there would be benefits for the clan and Clan Head if such a system would be placed. However, as stated by Tuss, "I hardly do anything. As Clan Head anyway". Perhaps the best way to sum up thoughts on the matter would be what DigDog said, "Let's let the actions speak, not the titles." With what low active member base Dynami had, it simply was not worth it to change the system anytime soon, which has stayed that way to this day. Finally, something is actually done! The Dynami flag is finally finished on October 19th, 2010. All glory to Spanish Inquisition for making a picture that's better than a draft! However, Tuss once again shows his proper place as the Indignation, finding the original Dynami flag made way back in history, so far back that all records of it's original creator (it might have been ozzynator3, or not) creation date are lost in time! The old flag is kept as the Dynami flag, but the new flag found a place for it to be used as well, in the The Dynamian Parliament thread. From Paxia, to Paxia! Several Dynami members team together in a writing project, and in December 10th, 2010, the Charlatan's first issue is released, a snarky newsletter meant to make fun out of anything AQ-related, it's first issue poking fun at the debate had earlier between Falerin and a few of the oldtimer Paxians about their utter disgust to the rot which Paxia was in at. While the debate in the end did not go anywhere, it at least got a few laughs out of us, and that's what matters. While right now, the Charlatan is in an indefinite hiatus, rest assured, there are talks about bringing the project back to life again, right after we do this one other thing that we will not discuss further and is totally not a made up reason to let us slack off a few more years! You can read all the amazing issues of the Charlatan within the Dynami Clan Stories thread. They're inviting us to defeat them! We must oblige! In February 10, 2011, tension between Dynami and Glacius rises as the clan of Ice accuses Dynami for being responsible for the drop in their Defense Score. Surprisingly, the attack was not recent, but one of two years ago, Dynami's response to the advantage Glacius posted back then, when attacking their clan caused absurd lag to the player due to something in the background. As the lag issue was resolved, Dynami was quick to take advantage of the situation and beat down on Glacius to take a higher position in the Defense Score highscore list(which never existed outside of counting who had the highest score whenever you checked the scores), the position Glacius possessing back then likely to be #1. While sparks fly and things between the two clans got cold fast, a compromise is proposed, for the two clans to enter in a contest to see which would be able to raise their Defense Score higher during a set number of days. While in the end Glacius did not wish to participate in the contest(stated by the person handling cross-clan communications at the time), Dynami and Lucian fought it out instead just for fun, with Dynami winning the contest. This battle would mark the beginning for an event that for once would see actual participation from a number of Paxia clans, but that would be in the future. I knew it'd come to this from the start! In 4th of March 2011, a poster on AE forums starts a project, hoping participation from all the Clans, to come up with a quest within their clan and clan-related rewards to be won in the end of it. Dynami is quick to get to action, and a whole quest storyline is thought up, focusing more on minigames and clan-fluff than fighting a bunch of monsters to get to the reward chest. By now however, the thread is long gone, and so is any hope of that project seeing the light of day and actually getting in AdventureQuest. To compensate, bask in the glory of this snip of the storyboard!quote:
Dynami: Dynami doesn't look at gender, we're all bro's here man. You know what they say, bro's before foes. Player: ...aren't we supposed to fistbump at this point? Dynami: Yeah, but we don't have the budget for something as high-quality animation as that. We could slide towards eachother in awkward fashion if you'd like? Player: I'll pass. Heresy grows from idleness. While Paxia to this day has seen very little actual content brought to them, save for a few events and quests that take place in the island but bring nothing new to the clans themselves, Dynami has kept on hammering away on the Defense Forces, dominating the competition with their score that has kept them at #1 position for quite a while now, most likely result of the otherwise low number of Paxians who still can bring themselves to play in an "event" that never quite went anywhere. Miraculously, finally Dynami was able to come up with an event that brought interest and even participation from the other clans, the Paxian Fighting Challenge! The event was brought up on September 3th, 2011, and was an Elimination Contest, two clans were pit against eachother during weekends to battle it out on who can get the better Defense Score change during 3 days, from Friday to Sunday in the Adventurer server to allow every player in the clan to participate. In the end, Aerodu was up against Glacius, and the contest ended in Glacius winning. Seeing how the event was fairly successful, the Defense Score check system was brought to a new event, the Paxia Ultimate Conquest games, which right now are on their second game, the first one ended prematurely as it was likely that Dynami had the whole game in the bag, and the rules used during the first game were deemed necessary to be tweaked a little (two battle moves per turn instead of one, leading to the first game taking quite a while to resolve). As things stand, the PUC is the only ongoing event that Paxia clans can truly compete against eachother in, as the fabled (and even considered to be a myth) promises of new content to Paxia have yet to arrive. We have waited years now, so we might as well wait a few more, right? Right? A short description of Dynami. With skydrite taking over control of the Clans, Factions, Guilds and Houses section of BattleOn Forums, he set up a contest for Paxians to write their board descriptions during August 2012, hoping to spark new life in our community. With a little help from another Dynamian, Spanish Inquisition's description was used for the Dynami board. "There is a calm before every storm. Enter the Generator, while you still can." End of an Era. As of early August, 2013, due to a new announcement from Scakk, all Paxian Clan Councils and Democracies were redesigned under new rules. This meant that all the current councils were abolished, leaving the clans to rebuild a new system from the ruins. Xov Arakue attacks! / A new era begins! Shortly after the demise of the old councils and democracies, Eukara Vox revived Paxia when a new war began in game. Xov Arakue, the twisted leader of the Trumpha, attacked Paxia to destroy the clan leaders. This lead to Dynami's own Zyrain being captured by Xov. The end of History. All mentions in this History depiction are those that the writer was able to put together from various sources, most likely not every event is told about here, but rest assured that those told were the ones that were important enough to remember and store within the forums used to gather the information from. Should new, important pieces of history be discovered, they will be added to this piece of Paxia History.
