@Justice Rage will break threw that easily and their dead. Especially if your a Mercenary with a max BB and Adrenaline. That CH build would be utterly destroyed.

well don't make too much speculations on the new stat allocation feature in omega, you guys might think this will be good and bad but i can tell you the devs are literally working day and night to balance and make omega a great phase(works till 3am and wakes up at 7:30 then continue the same progress for a week) and rabblefroth said that they cannot balance until it has been monitored for quite a time, so if it does go wrong then the devs will try their best to do something about it, so don't expect the worst and hope for the best.

ok lets get this clear guys, you are going to have less stats total in omega than you have now, so guess what, even though that you can put a lot of stat points in one stat, you cant do it and have other good stats , in other words abusive builds will not work.

In other words, BHs will be even more powerful. If the new enhancement system isnt as expensive as the current one then I will change my class for sure.

You don't get the point do you? I've done the math.. Omega, needs prepearations.. There are builds which will work and which will not. I've already come up with 4.. And the math stats are perfect!

@justice How can you have any build prepared when you have no idea about any of the stats that we will have? It's entirely possible that they may take away 1/3 of our current stats to keep things balanced. You also don't know just how much of a stat we can have on a weapon.

Then maybe some of the damage adding enhancements on all weapons in the first place can be undone.


@ Yo son,

Abusive builds would work IMO BUT, unlike now they will be counter-able by strategy and balanced out builds far more easily then abusive builds are currently.

WHICH IS GREAT abusive builds can become more creative, balance and strategy SHOULD return to a high degree and luck influence should be lowered.


Similar to things as they were in beta eg.

Yes there were support abusers, and STR abusers But things like using shields, mana drains actually worked because attacks werent so power heavy as to force players to attack practically every round or be heavily out damaged faster then strategy can react.

Can't remember the numbers exactly, but I figured out the absolute maximum possible stats you could get in any one area under the current system. Think it came out to around 210, including enhancements.

New system will put you closer to 170 in any one area in its current iteration.

so were losing 40 stats? That's basically the enhancments correct? Also I have a question beta blaster is level 25 if I upgrade it would it have 40 dmg?

@ Rabble,

GREAT news!

This was one of my greatest hope for the game for a loooong time realised!

@ Preston they mentioned that they are making all wepons same stats and damage that they should have for that level, so basically betas would be drastically nerfed for 25s (only fair 25s shouldnt have 31 damage gear) but buffed for 31s plus.

The 40 stats are indeed enhancements (10 per weapon x 4).

I don't think Beta Blaster would do 40 damage. It would probably be similar to all other sidearms of level 35, which is 35 damage. Nonetheless, since its an Ultra-Rare, I do suppose it will boast small advantages in terms of 1 or 2 extra damage and a few more stats than other weapons of its level.

It's actually not just straight Enhancements.

Currently, you have to sacrifice stats just to equip the weapons that gave you the stat you wanted. Omega will remove that restriction, but we're keeping a stat limit, and rearranging how many stats you get on each piece of gear.

BTW - the stat cap we're working with right now is 40% of the item's total stats. Might change, but figure I'd throw it out there. :P

^ I notice stat requirments on skills havnt been mentioned to be removed (or I havnt seen it)

For now we'll be keeping stat reqs on Skills.

We're not crazy about them, but there are already enough changes that will mess with balance that we didn't want to go down that road just yet.

^ Fair enough, I hope if balance seems to improve these requirements become less and less aswell.

Then this game should become truly creative.

can you tell us if each class is truly getting a skill overhaul not just graphic overhaul? Also can you give us an estimate of how much credits it will take to upgrade an item 1 level?

so my stun cannon would goto 34 from 33. Would that cost about 5-10k credits?

I do think that this feature is a bit stupid. Builds will be destroyed.

If Enhancement slots disappear, you will lose a lot of Varium.

One thing I do like is that EpicDuel will be more stat based than luck based. It will help me since I lose my Battles due to Blocks, Criticals, Stuns or going second.
This will make the game challenging and Strength builds will be less common.

If they thought omega was going to make them LESS money, they wouldn't be implementing as many of the changes as they are.

Build diversity will actually increase due to more options being available.
