Omega Yetis... useless for some?

As you know that we have gotten the omega yetis with the upgrade. But not all of us uses robots in battle... if we did then we would all have the same type of build. but don't you think a promo item should benefit all character build? you may argue that some people don't use the promo auxiliary to attack and yet they buy it... but if you think about it aux have stats and just by equipping them you gain something. but, the story is not the same with robots. if you don't have a 5focus build with high tech... you might just not use the yetis. And robots are the only type of items that do not benefit the user with passive ability like gaining stats. Do you think omega yetis skill should be replaced with cores that will be influenced by the highest stat of the user so it can equally benefit all char build? because now it seems the yetis are only for people with 5focus and high tech build. omega yeti, the very symbol of omega, goes against the whole moto of omega granting more freedom and favors only one type of build.

What do you think?

Good point, instead of making robots focus reliable, they could perhaps make them Technology only. But perhaps with Base damage, so even if you have no focus.

^if it requires tech only it would be worse. but they need to add some passive skill to the yetis so it benefits all. passive skill that influences the char not yeti. or cores like i suggested.

No, leave them as they are.

If you don't want the bot, then sell it.

^ It sort of is how they work :P They come with both a normal primary and a sword, my build doesn't use the sword, but I am happy with getting it because later on I might have a build that uses it. Its the same with the yeti.

Its not useless.


They all come with a unique special which can help in certain situation versing certain builds.


Just because you dont use the attack, or the special every battle does not make them useless.

Every time the yeti is upgraded it should get +1 damage.

^willendorf, you get all the stats from the sword even if you don't use it. everything has some use for all except the bots. upgrades suppose to favor a little to everyone.

Even without any focus, many bots have useful specials. If you have a high dex build, forcing the opponent to do strikes is a very useful special... be creative!

^but it should have some passive abilites that help the user despite what stat he/she chooses to enhance... like i said the weps give you stats bonus. but robots do nothing.

 Well maybe you did not think of this, but if a bot starts to have cores that affect users then owning a bot would be useless. Reason being is all bots would be the same with no locked or special cores. They would essentially become a blockable aux.

If you're not using the bots for damage, then figure out a way to implement it's special. Some bots are pure damage (gamma bot, Infernal Android) while others are set for strategy (yetis, azreal borg, bio borg, assault)

For me the yetis actually work right into my build without having high damage, in fact I have no focus at all but still constantly use my yeti. It's great for taking away the high powered shot from a strength mage's gun or a support char aux. If you know when to use it, you can turn the tide of the battle and save your bacon.

THis bot's special is useful for certain kinds of builds. It would cripple a support build since it would take away the aux for 3 turns which is needed for a support build, plus it also helps builds that have high block chance by removing 2 unblockables. Just because bots don't give stats doesn't mean they aren't useful.

 Omega yetis is no where near useless , you are clearly stupid or clueless BECAUSE you all go Str builds

Which makes the yeti useless , use your imagination to make a build that you can use Var that you spend on the yetis

how is the yeti useless to some builds? even with the strength abusing game recking players, you can use yeti to disable/ cripple support builds or/and mage/ blood mage builds that use either high strength with DA or high support builds. Dude seriously, don't be selfish, obviously am guessing your either a strength abuser, or abusing a specific stat... lol

 that bot is perfect in the sence with how op strengh is right now a smart strengh abuser can disable the only build that has a safe decent chance of killing them the support build disable their aux and gun and kill them long before they had any hope of killing you . especially if its a support mage since they loose their deadly aimed gun and their aux.

the only build that had a reasonable chance of killing the strengh builds

the strengh builds right now have risen higher then ever before nice move ED

There is nothing wrong with the bots or yetis, actuality i got myself an dark yeti, they are quite useful against blood mages/techmages and whatever the most fitting situation.

No, you don't need a focus build to 'use' a robo successfully in battle.
ALL promo robots (except gamma) have a special that isnt a 'power' attack.
Azrael borg: Dramaticly Weakens a shield.
Bionic Borg: Protects you from melee attack
Yet/Dark Yeti: Take away gun and aux for a few turns.
Pyro Fly: Disables a random Skill

So no, they aren't useless. Each one dramaticly improves builds.

actuality, Bionic Borg applies a buff that reflects all kind of damage (except poison)

 ^ unless they updated it since the release, I am 100% sure It only effected melee attacks. (melee as is double strike, bludgeon, berserker, cheapshot, strike, ect)

The Omega Yeti's special has saved my rear a lot of times...
I rage it which does about 40 damage and prevents the use of gun/aux...
which is good against str builds that attempt to finish it with a rage gun
and gives me that 1 extra turn to make a difference

If you don't want the robot, you always have the option of selling it. Otherwise, just find a use for it. I'm not using 5 focus, but the robot is wonderful against support builds and as a guaranteed 3-damage attack.

The Omega Yeti's chomp effect is very useful in certain situations if you're smart with it no matter what your focus is. This is also true of the assault bot. Not only 5 focus builds benefit from robots. However if you want to use a robot as an offensive tool, yes you need a 5 focus build. Thats the whole thing that distinguishes it from being just another sidearm or aux.

didn't baby yeti from the last frostvale had the same effect? it could use chomp. what's so different about omega yeti?
