I use double lvl 8 intimidate per round with enough to heal aswel.

regain with bloodlust, frostbite to take away the bseserk,

Shields for malf,

Platnim for outrageously fast raging STR builds.

And the energy drain skill core combined with frostbite for the caster mages.

I tried to duel with dignity. However, I was on a 25% win rate.


So I abuse support as a TM. :/ I shouldnt have to do this...

Its easily counterabe, plus a nice strategy

STR on the other hand is absurd.

 I don't think my build is all that creative, really, but it's mine, and it's a build that I have made without reference to any other and have used for a long time, because I consider it near optimal. Strangely enough, I haven't seen another build like it.

^100%,

But with reference to STR builds effort wise all you need to give is 1% and win with your eyes closed. ( Obviously im talking about the same strategy STR builds, I know some have other strategies as well and I'm obviously fine with those.)

@above yup, for strength builds, they do not even have to think, they just press whatever comes up that they can use.

and people say that block is out of whack, i hardly ever block any of the strikes from a strength abuser, even when they have ridiculously low dex.

Ways to Nerf Str Builds:

Make Block and Deflect more reliable, if one has 21 Dex, don't make that person block you while having 90+ dex
The Cores that improve with Str ( Meteor, Thorns, Pumpkin, Platinum ) Don't let Rage activate with it

You'd think they'd know most of this during Delta when people complained of BloodMages raging with Platinum

There is no right and wrong way to play the game. I would just hope others would see and realize how foolish judging others for their class and build is.

It's all about adapting to the situation. If str builds run rampant, you can either join them or try counter them. All we can do is wait and keep battling until a new balance update comes along.

@above yes we sure can adapt and join them, but what if we don't want to? strength builds are boring and sometimes hard to counter, if strength builds go first you basically lose the battle unless you have ridiculous luck, its about diversity not to be forced to play as a specific build or class in-order to win, i don't know what you are thinking but your example of fun isn't really fun.

How can One enjoy the game if it's overrun by Str abusers?
Ofcourse you'd be enjoying the game play as a merc but some of us don't want to
go like half the players and just join the bandwagon...

Adapting situation? Seems like you were unable to counter them so you did the ' join them ' part.

Not to mention Meteor Core, Pumpkin Rain, Thorns, Platinum Core, ALL skills that work with Str, unblockable and works with rage...

so yea, I'm having a " Blast " in this phase....

I abuse a stat, but not during it's OP reign. While I LOVED Str builds back in the day(Early delta, late gamma), It just feels so common now. I never abuse a stat while it's OP. I use Tank caster build now.

In other words, if you can't find a way to enjoy the game at this moment then stop playing. Or something I don't know. I'm sorry.

You can't blame me or any other individual for how the game is right now. Let's hope the next update does something about these str "abusers".

there is nothing foolish about thinking and judging that something is OP when it clearly is.

well you all wanted change now you have got it ,my motto has always been if you cant beat them join them, till it is fixed it is there game not ours so when they fix there game we will play there way till then lets all be mercs

Well to each their own build. No one can stop that, and it's obviously understandable why one would take advantage of this update.

I power levelled halfway through 32 yesterday, which is the craziest thing I've done on here so far. During this, I basically only lost to those popular builds. Basically Single Stat Builds, STR builds, Massacre builds, etc. Although it was fun playing with my build, it got boring facing the same builds for hours. This meant that I had to do pretty much one strategy, which got tiring. The unique ones were fun and motivated me to battle more. So did those builds that had low defenses because of other stats.

Stat Abuse isn't WRONG, per se, but it can get to be boring when everyone does it.

 A lot of strength builds use their skills to end the battle quickly. Keep an EMP or Atom Smasher on hand and you should be fine. For Mages I suggest the energy draining cores because if a STR merc(just an example) goes first and uses maul or double strike then follows with a bezerker well assim is still locked because you cannot energy regen with full energy.

This won't always get you a win but it will draw out the battle for another round which could get you the win

I use unique builds, but I do have a pinch of guilt.
Guess why.
5 Focus build, 100+HP With a level 5 smoke and a level 6 massacre.
It's good/bad guilt on the way you view it

Yes, I used to be a really considerate person in ED talking with strangers and going around like "Hi everyone" and talking dumb stuff. No ones like that anymore. D: I respect ppl now by not saying anything to them when they're rude.
