tl;dr - Try to duel, but if you can't duel, make it clear if you're forfeiting just this match or the whole tournament.
So one of the challenges of these tournaments is finding your opponent and having your matches. Sometimes, things come up, and people decide they can't battle within the next few days. When you think you absolutely cannot complete your match, please post a notice here, or PM me, so that I can make the necessary changes to the bracket.
In your message, please say if you are just forfeiting this one match, or if you are dropping out of the tournament completely. This makes a difference, since we are playing double elimination style. If you forfeit this match, it will be treated as a loss, and you will be moved to the Losers bracket and paired up for another match. If you drop out, you will not be considered for any more matches!
1) In the case of a forfeit, your opponent will move up the bracket, just like they would if they won.
2) In the case of dropping out, I will try to find your opponent another match.
The second case is much harder and less fun to arrange than the first, so I urge everyone who signed up to attempt to see this through, as much as possible. We want you to have fun, and enjoy dueling your fellow forumites, and dropping out takes away from that experience.
