NEW CHANGES / FEATURES

  • Returned Winter Seasonal Rares
    • Visit Hank or Valestra in Frysteland for seasonal weapons
    • Return of seasonal home items
    • Frost Warrior Achievement
    • Winterized Screens / NPCs

  • Removed Fall/Harvest Items
    • Removed Fall/Harvest Missions
      • Hallowarriors
      • Gourd Grinding
  • Removed Nightwraith Items
    • Removed NW Missions
      • OneX6 Retrieval
      • Party Business
  • World Domination achievement now tracks the number of times it has been awarded
  • Tactical Map sellable for 250 credits
  • Egg Sac sellable for 150 credits

BALANCE
  • Energy stealing skills are now capped to the target’s current energy. This affects Static Smash and Static Grenade.
  • Piston Punch
    • Will no longer consume your Rage or Critical as it does flat damage
  • Poison Spores
    • Initial damage will no longer consume Rage or Critical as it does flat damage
    • Now deals 50% of bot damage each turn, down from 60%
    • Cooldown increased to 4 turns
  • Static Grenade and Static Smash
    • Will no longer drain more energy than the target has.
    • Example: Target has 15 Energy left. Previously, Static Grenade would drain 30 Energy and grant 15. Now, it will drain 15 and grant 7.

BUGFIXES
  • Fixed 0 HP display issue
  • Fixed client-hanging bug when using Pyro Fly special or Concussive Shot core on a boss
  • Fixed sizing inconsistency with achievements

The nerf to static grenade is a good start, however no way near enough IMO the skill needs a cost maybe even a HP cost as well as a longer CD, it's power will mean the game remains unplayable in my eyes.

Great items by Charfade.

Wow I see two of my suggestions for balance has actually been put into the game.

Hopefully these will help balance the game out more.

I find this mandatory, but I doubt that this will be the last change that these skills will receive. As it stands, this is based on end-game performance, where the Bounty Hunter or Mercenary might have received enough energy to use Field Medic or others (when they absorb 17+ energy from their energy skill). Before players get down to the last % of their energy, these skills will still have the highest impact above all, disregarding the changes seen in this balance update. At least this change makes a positive step, I will not disagree with that.

It seemed more like a bug then anything that the skills weren't like this to start with.

almost every bounty hunter I faced would have just enough tech to make it so that if you drained them they would get all the energy they needed for a heal if you drained them. With this change, it makes the drain a much better counter since you aren't getting all of the energy if your grenade can give you back more than they have left.

I really thought that Static Grenade extra energy gain will be within BUGFIXES ..... and they will actually do some balance changes on it.

Well hope it will happen after certain Fridays ........


Balance on Poison Spores is ok .... something is better than nothing


Speaking about Winter Returns ........ it is my favorite part in EpicDuel ...... thanks Devs for this Chilling Event :)

Everything seems to be about the same. I get past turn 10 only to die by Infernal Overload. It must be my fate.

That's not a balance fix, that's a bug fix.

well they've now fixed the bounty hunter... but this doesn't do anything for the rest of the classes as they have imbalances... and while i'm pretty sure my cy hunter can now defeat bh's seeing as they wont be able to heal because of the bug... i'm still stuck with the same build... for all this waiting i'd really thought there'd be a bit more than just that but question... @remorse what more do you want them to nerf it with?

Great, My Epic PhotoG cheevo and Nightwraith arcade cheevo are gone from my cheevos and Now I got from 3 blue stars to 2 blue again .-.

I reported that nightwraith arcade cheevo bug in the bug section of the site. Hopefully this gets addressed in the next update.

the brightside is the poison bot and static grenade seem to have been nerfed properly to where both are usable but not ridiculous, my 35 cy hunter took down a 36 bh and he was good but he couldn't heal with the now fixed bug and my cy is also using the poison bot and it wasn't nerfed ridiculously i went from 8 to 6 at a 5 focus with 80 in tech

^ Static is still far from balanced.


just because they fixed a bug does not mean it is even close to balanced.


And evidence of being able to beat a BH is not evidence of it being balanced, in fact it says more about it not being balanced if that is actually an accomplishment in itself.

Next thing you know we will get an achievement for defeating a BH with static grenade without it...

I am surprised the requierments for all the energydrain/gain skills have not been balanced (emp\atomic smash).

To achieve balance you must first spot the elephant in the room and fix it.. Come on devs :P i even suggested it.

what about the spider rush core ? why wasn't it balanced ?
we now have to wait for two more weeks of ppl abusing it , good job staff.

now i regret not getting it and abusing it too.

also in the example it scaled down where the game usually scales up does this mean it will now scale down ?

The game doesn't always use ceiling for the numbers. There are instances when it uses normal rounding, or even floor. For example, IIRC, Botanical Hazard uses normal rounding for its DoT.

normal rounding to energy is always upward since 0.5 is rounded to 1 then the example is either wrong or they changed the way it rounds to down.

Then the Energy uses floor, based on the example provided. 15 / 2 = 7.5 -> ceiling means it's always 8, normal rounding would mean it'd also go up to 8, and floor means it'll always go down.
