@T.600 quote:
The problem with ED is that it the game isn't really moving forward. Weekly updates seem to have become monthly updates now, and most updates are just fillers like missions, gifts, codes etc. instead of more complete updates such as balance changes or new features such as tournaments, faction interface changes etc. Even when the balance updates you are talking about do come, they always do the same thing, almost inexorably. There will be a new OP class, a couple of average classes and one class that is nerfed to the point of being virtually unplayable. The last ''balance update"just made tac merc OP, and for something you're claiming takes great consideration and work, it seems like it could have been done better. Also, does the balance team have a clear, coherent definition of balance? Is balance making everything so equal and constrained that there is no build creativity allowed in the game? Changes such as adding stat requirements to skills (especially to TM) seem to reflect this manifesto and I think it's a flawed way of viewing balance. I personally believe that ''balance'' is an ideal to strive for whereby there is a perfect equilibrium between freedom in build making and build power. You hit the nail smack bang on the head! This is exactly whats wrong with epicduel. And when you say not moving forward, you could also say they have been moving backwards in many of the changes they have made (Legendary ranks, removal of passives, removal of loses, manaless spam skills, predictable monotonous gameplay). I would like to praise the devs for some of the good things they have also changed (removal of varium advantage!) but it seems most of the negative changes outshine these which is a real shame because I know they put in a lot of effort. If the devs are tired of the constant complaining then they could do something about the issues players are rightfully having with the game, or at least address the issues.
